Was a Christmas present that I was planning to buy if I didn't get it. Is epic. Except my favorite song (West Coast Friendship) is not on this particular one. So I shall have to hope I receive that one also.

Looking for a good time-consuming and with good replay value DS (DSi) game. I've got ScribbleNauts and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I'm willing to spend around $30 for it, and I also will most likely get New Super Mario Bros. DS for Christmas. I'd like an 'old-school' line (? the word escapes me atm) of Nintendo's, ie Zelda, Mario, Kirby = all good.

Same, I've got some $12 2XL hanger buds that I've had for a year, and disregarding the bit of duct tape I had to put on them to keep the plug from bending, they work great (especially considering the fact that they get shoved in the side of my bag every day) I can't recommend any in-ears, they never fit in mine/are too loud imo. To fix it I'd try a bit of solder then wrap it in some duct tape to immobilize that part of the wire. If I recall correctly, Skullcandys have braided aluminum wire, so I dunno if there's a specific sort of solder you ought to use.

I get what you're saying soulless. It always looks weird to me when I leave something empty though, that's why everything's so dark. I try not to shade in straight lines but I usually end up doing so in the end.

Do you know if there's an add-on anyone has created to prevent or attempt to prevent this? I can't get rid of Norton, and I barely got rid of IE6. And I can't downgrade to FF3, nor do I particularly want to, even if it solves my problem; the pros of 3.5 are worth the random refusals to load pages.

I've drawn better shoes... I have a nice one scanned somewhere. Rather large, but you get the point. And dsavi, it is pen. I generally don't like pen. Especially scanning it. In contrast to my sig (which is in pencil) it is a lot harder to scan. @Felix: It's a double-upper Chuck, the other lace is hidden by the shoe; there should be 4. In the beginning I realized I drew the laces kind of wrong (as to how they are in my own shoes) and they ended up kind of weird. A friend of mine saw it and thought it was a Zelda shoe to begin with; I'm going to continue that theme and do at least a LoZ one, maybe a Mario one later.

Just a thought, but if I was blocking all the ads, it'd be blocking the offending malware as well, wouldn't it?... So then I wouldn't see the ad, so it wouldn't have the opportunity to tell me there was a virus?

It'll load the homepage of Facebook, but when I try to login in it gives the 'Problem loading page' error. If I refresh, it continues to do so. If I go directly to GMail, it also gives that error. If I try to get to GMail via Google, it does it too. I can't sign into Google from the homepage either. Twitter won't let me login either; I can view the homepage, but not login. I can't login on YouTube, but I can view the homepage. I recently cleared my cookies (yesterday), and I've tested other sites (TinyPic, Amazon, Wikipedia, Last.fm) and they all work. Upon restarting Firefox it still doesn't work. I'm running 3.5.

Is a sort of we-ran-out-of-time-so-do-this-project-instead sort of art project (we were supposed to do clay, but had only 3 days to do it after 3 snow days). The idea was to choose an object that represented you, draw it, and fill it with other objects that represent you. Then show value and use ballpoint pen. (I <3 my art teacher. She's amazing and pretty much lets you do anything you want as long as it attempts to fulfill the criteria.) I can guarantee it looks better irl... I really hate my scanner. Any tips on making things I scan not look like complete crap?

I'm using Firefox 3.5 with the most up-to-date AdBlock Plus and WoT (plus stupid Norton) and I haven't had any problems or warnings. But I'd make sure it's not just your computer, run a virus scan etc.

I'm not completely sure, it's kind of like that but it's also not, due to the way I drew it and the fact that I'm not a member...

It'd help me a lot, even if I did one page... I'd be willing to take a shot at it, my style isn't that great though. And I have a habit of using a large pen (.7mm) to ink...

I've been told I play like Hasek; I'm unsure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I think I favor sliding butterflies now, although just from a standing position. But I'd much rather remain standing, stop the puck, then fall on it/scoop it up and hold it rather than butterfly... Got some CCM Vector goalie skates the other day, I'm looking forward to trying them out tomorrow. :thumbsup:

I got new goalie skates yesterday as we were about a place that sold them and they happened to be 50% off (They're last year's model... :blink: Same thing happened with my other ones.), which was good because they were still $100 in the end. I'll find a pic. A pair of CCM Vector goalie skates, I'm unsure which version, probably the 4.0. The box is currently under a large pile of laundry. Also I just requested this as my JDRF Walk prize. I raised $1000 this year, which I'm very proud of. After much deliberation, I decided I'd be better off with the portable speaker system than the wireless one, the hoodie, or the scooter (which I plan on buying eventually anyway- they're not that expensive). It may not be that great, but the great thing about it is it's FREE! :thumbsup: JDRF is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, a cause I fully support as I have had type 1 for nearly 8 years now... So I started a DA group for us lot. Tip-It-Artists is the name and link. Figured I'd post it here for the general discussion and information of the group. Anyone who's on TIF is welcome to join, whether or not you actually do art or write; as long as you've got a DA account. I am attempting to send out invites to those who I am sure of their DAs but it's probably much easier if you just apply yourself. :P With any luck you'll be automatically put in Contributors but if you're not I'll figure it out. I agree with Den. I hate it when there are different items in each store (LEGO especially does this to me... I hate them for it). The only thing I might buy is the US Red Dragon Wall Decal. But it's $30, so I'm going to look elsewhere for similar things cheaper/better. I still want the figures. Those I would buy. And the EU Armadyl bag is way better than the US one. Which is stupid.

Her. And not to make this thread any more pointless, but in the long run it was only his blatantly blunt ( :razz: ) 'You suck.' that made me want to go do something I'm good at. As for the [new version] comic.. Comic Sans MS is an awful font for anything. Art isn't horrible, does he do it in MSPaint or something though? The eye on the second page looks like crap... And the first page had no eyes, so I suggest working on that. And shading, there was no shading at all in the guy in the first panel. If your artist really is using MSPaint or some program that came with his scanner... http://www.gimp.org or buy PhotoShop.

Yes. No more 'Easter Carrots' or Cornucopias. I want a matching set of clothing for my '05 hats and scarves! Or at least something cool... Santa suit was lame, I dunno why anyone chose it as our reward (if you recall, they had a poll and the players chose that stupid reward).
