  1. Apparently risk for Type 1 Diabetes (my cousin and I have it), risk for Type 2 (grandfather and great grandmother), and high blood pressure and cholesterol (both sets of grandparents). Non-disease but hereditary: knee problems (both parents), extreme nearsightedness (dad, random relatives), crooked teeth (dad, random relatives), and feet problems (dad, maybe random relatives). And for random traits, we all like to rant and get angry fairly easily. Running joke that we need anger management classes. I'm probably going to pass on a stress-related TMJ/TMD (muscle/skeletal disorder with the jaw that basically causes lots of pain randomly). ALSO: TYPE ONE DIABETES is not necessarily hereditary, although there's an obvious link... Scientists think a gene gets switched on or off and that helps cause it. Type 2 is hereditary + lifestyle choices.

[placeholder to remind me to describe the swordfighting tourney, I just don't feel it atm though]
  3. Added Stevepole's and LowFatMilk's entries.
  4. Added Racheya's. l will probably  extend it to the 5th, so try to get your entries in by then, no hurry with the 3rd.
  5. Deadline extended to Nov. 3. WE NEED LEGO EPICNESS ON THE FORUMS!
  6. Can't members also craft glass? If I am correct, I would suggest a crafting tie-in where you can mine a specific gem (assuming these are god tie-ins what with the shield bit) with which you can cut it then craft an orb via glass-blowing or some such thing. Also I would suggest that the option be added to put these on top of the staves, as I think they're a bit plain at the moment.

I think the Caucasian thing was probably me. Since a lot of African Americans made/make a huge deal about being called black, I make it a big deal to be called white. Nobody's black or white, it's all stupid.
  8. I think auto-resize should be able to be turned off but links shouldn't be banned. There ought to be a way the admins can enable that option for the users (to disable auto-resizing), it bugs me because whenever I scroll through somewhere there's a huge pic, it makes my comp scroll very slowly. I always put stuff in hide tags anyway, and host with tinypic or devart which don't give links automatically.

    That pic is amazing!
  10. Either way I don't buy it. Random thought: even if everything existed in a small space and it expanded then what's not to say that [our known universe] isn't just another singularity which will expand eventually, (weird analogy: Dr. Seuss' Whos in Whoville - tiny civilization, then it expands to create another). I can come up with all sorts of crazy random theories that make sense in some abstract way, but definitely don't make a ton of sense.

I am not white. I am Caucasian, American, of European descent. More specifically, Polish, German, Irish, and Anglo-Saxon, probably in that order.
  12. I haven't read all of the thread so if my points have been brought up I apologize. Genesis is invalid because there is proof of things existing on Earth that are not mentioned in the Bible (ie dinosaurs). Big Bang is invalid in my view because nothing can't explode. I believe that a 'higher entity' (read: not 'necessarily' the Christian God) had to create the universe, and perhaps set the ball rolling in the creation of intelligent life. I don't completely buy Darwinism, but I don't completely discount it either. What with my very random influences, I know that according to the laws of physics, you can't get a higher life form from a lower one. Everything will eventually degrade into chaos.

I don't do playlists, I generally (used to) put music on my mp3 via a Windows 2000, and my mp3 only supported full playlist creation in WMP11+, and Win2000 has 10, so that was fail. I do have random playlists on it now from syncing it with the other laptop. Otherwise I might listen to my 'top rated' or just shuffle.
  14. Just a reminder: All entries are due by Saturday the 31st, though I might extend it.
  15. Going to be working on some concept art for zaaps1's Divinite Mining/Smithing Revival idea. I've got the basics down, we'll be working to create some awesome armor and weapons, and some cool-looking accessories for the set. Basically the suggestion adds a new metal to the list, Divinite. The way you get to mine it is really complicated and to smith it is even more so. Obviously high levels are required. But the items will look epic. The description of each is already great, and I'm glad I get to throw my two cents (as it were). LOOK AT THE SUGGESTION HERE and add your thoughts. It's long but very well thought out and would be an amazing update to mining and smithing!

  17. The second L or E is yours [Trojann2] for the taking, and wongtong are you doing one?
  18. I was wondering if I could do concept art of the various weapons/armor/stuff featured in your Divinite suggestion? If you have some basic info (color scheme, etc) I could do it for you. There's probably info in the first post, but I'd rather make sure I've got it right. If you'd be willing to let me do this, I'd like to know your suggested color scheme for the weaponry (what color is divinite? when it's been forged, does the color change?) and for the armor, and your thoughts on the armor. Traditionally, mage armor is in robe form, I noticed your version doesn't really mention that (it is a robe top/bottom but), is it like an armored robe or something different? What accessories might Jagex release (gauntlets, boots, gloves, capes), and how would they tie in with the Divinite? How do you make traditionally wooden weapons using a metal? For reference, here's some of my past work on nerdboyxxx's suggestion for an F2P Boss: http://forum.tip.it/topic/240819-f2p-boss-monster-elvarg-30-supporters-new-armour/ (the armor and the 'combat triangle' bits) [spoiler=Combat Triangle]
  19. I'd rather not, just because it's such a small picture. If you can screenshot the items she's wearing (names of items are helpful in preventing confusion) and give that to me along with the character pic I can probably do it.
  20. Perhaps by forum group? Like General Discussions, RuneScape Discussions, Forum/Website Discussion would be epic, although preferably by forum/subforum if you don't want Rants or Off-Topic in your new posts thing.
  21. For discussion of any and all things related to ice hockey! Do you play it, what position? How long? Your favorite NHL team? Who's going to win the Stanley Cup this season? All of that great stuff. So... to start I suppose. I recently (well 3 months ago...) got these skates, or close enough: [spoiler=Rbk 1K Hockey Skates] Dunno if they're great or anything (yeah they're not goalie skates but I'm cheap and haven't had them ever anyway), I needed new ones, they had them at the store, and they fit, and were even on clearance. Haven't gotten them properly sharpened yet, hoping to do so before my season starts next week. I've played goalie in a smallish rec league for the past 3 years now, I love playing goalie and enjoy skating a lot. I love the Detroit Red Wings, Jimmy Howard and Chris Osgood are epic.
  22. Chuck emerged from the portal, his back to the coliseum wall. He wore purple high top Chuck Taylors, from whence he received his nickname. His weaponry, a well-wrought katana, his defense, a light Kevlar vest, underneath a tunic of fine mail. He scanned the crowd of fighters and ducked as a misfired bullet whizzed by him. None looked especially different, although it was an eclectic bunch. He wondered what they would do when he made his speech. Chuck crouched in wait, occasionally cringing as a fighter made a good hit on another.
  23. Great to finally hear about the Sports & Fitness forum being created, and I think Falador Tavern's going to be a great addition to Fally.
  24. If s/he is at least semi-legit in a story, then yeah.
  25. Might do one. Not sure if I have time yet.
