1. Yep. Hopefully at least...
2. The most recent one is definitely your best so far, I would go with what Laxaria said and add effects to her hands and get rid of some of the lines in front of her.
3. Sorry I'm having issues with coloring things... This is what I got: I can try again later but right now I have a headache... idk.
4. Hmm.. Is this more what you were thinking? If it is, I'll upload the xcf.
5. Sorry I think abstract and I think 'oh whatever looks interesting'... I'll do another one... :)
6. Skully: (I can remove the text if you'd like) Laxaria: XCF
7. Thanks for the orders! I'll start on Skully's first, I think I'll do two, one with each fractal. We'll see how they come out. : Laxaria, do you have any suggestions on where to upload the xcf? I could do it on Devart I think... :?
8. I love how this thing has been posted since like November and it's just now resurfaced. :
9. Are we posting or PMing? Last time I think it was decided use PM and TinyPic?
10. Generally in a book I look for a) something by an author I like/is well known B) something in a genre I like (sci-fi/fantasy) and/or c) has been recommended by a friend. My friend's mom is a elementary/middle school librarian so she gives me a great book every once in a while. I do enjoy teen romance novels... Yes I do love the Twilight series. Something worthwhile to read is something, no matter what genre, that draws me in and makes me want to keep reading. Brisingr is a wonderful example of something that's NOT worthwhile for me to read, yet I read it because I wanted to find out how it ended. (btw, it didn't  ) I also find that before I read all of the ones my local library has, the Hardy Boys series was worth my while, they were interesting and they span a variety of situations. I read because I have too much time and there's so much out there worth reading. Currently, I'm at a loss for books to read as I haven't been to the library recently, and I'm not one to go buy a book at random from a bookstore. However, I've got some hockey ones on hold that will hopefully prove useful reads. Also, I'd like to recommend a couple of books: Graceling by Kristin Cashore (great fantasy action, geared towards teens but still a great read), anything by Ted DekKer, and The Tales of Beadle the Bard (J.K. Rowling) if you haven't read them yet and you enjoyed Harry Potter. And I'd enjoy being featured but I'm not much of a writer... However, this has worked in the past in the FL: have a sort of PM interview with the person... I could do that, I've just got nothing in particular I can think of to talk about.
11. I vote for Yaff2.

Lol, it's like 12 degrees here (Michigan) and it's been that way since like the beginning of January. Bored. Had to read more of Great Expectations of which I have very low expectations for. Honestly the book sucks and I hate it. Had an argument on Facebook about whether a friend of mine should ask this one guy and etc. was rather pointless. YAY FOR A WASTED DAY!

What do you define as 'wasted time'? Time you spend on Tif? Checking e-mail? Watching TV? Or are you of the mind that if you choose to do something, you've decided that it's worth doing and so is not a waste of time? Do you think society as a whole has begun to waste more and more time? Even if there's not more time being wasted, do you think there's a lot of time lost due to the unadeptness of many? Personally I think that very little of my time (That's in my control. School is generally a waste of time, for me at least.) is wasted. I do spend a large amount of time on the computer; most of it I spend on DeviantART, Tif, and Facebook. I would consider most of my time spent on Facebook as a waste, but DevART and Tif are definately worth my while. I spend a fair amount of time working on art projects, in GIMP and on paper as well. I watch a little TV, mostly those programs I think are worth watching. And I read a lot, but if there's a book I hate, I won't finish it as I believe I'm wasting time if I finish it. I believe society wastes a huge amount of time. Students who don't pay attention, and force the teacher to waste time explaining it again to them. Incompetent tech support people who take four hours to explain something you could have solved in two minutes using the internet. There's probably other great examples that I can't think of now as well.
14. Adding my two cents: It needs to be lowered... Like the crazy Bugs & Suggestions things, I SUPPORT this motion. :XD:
15. Lowering the opacity does not equal blending. Duplicate render, smudge all over bottom layer, fiddle with layer settings as desired.
16. I'd say that next time use a smaller canvas; 110x300 would be sufficent (sp) as you have enough space, and overlap the render over the edges of the sig (if that makes sense... I can't explain anything)
17. I've got it and I've fiddled with it some... But I really don't understand it much. I really should learn how to use it though. The only issue is that it's on the other computer which doesn't have internet access on it... It's on this computer but because my dad's stupid it got installed in only his login so nothing works on mine.

The last one is by far the best, I think I will need to use it as a wallpaper for some time. : I've never liked red swirly ones... I don't know why, I think I think there's too many of them. The third one is quite interesting, I like the way it's repeating the pattern with the different colors. The second one is kind of 'blah' in my opinion, but that's because I'm strange and I don't appreciate the more neutral colored fractals.
19. It's nothing great, although much better than some other first pieces we've had. I'll leave it to someone else to critque the story as I am not be best for that. I did notice there's a few errors with punctuation, you always need a comma or a period before the end of quotations.
20. ^ Smartness. Mine: hawkxs
21. Has Sci Fi been dying as of late? Yes. No great sci-fi books have come out recently, although the fantasy genre is getting a well-deserved boost... I notice that a lot of the sci-fi I find worth reading is 'old' books; The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (The Resturant at the End of the Universe, So Long and Thanks for all the Fish, etc.), Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (apparently Blade Runner is based off this), and Ender's Game (and the books that follow). War of the Worlds is okay, I find the original version drags on and on... I got through the first 'book' and had to stop it was so boring. So I read the Illustrated Classics version (abridged with pictures FTW). And the rest of the sci-fi is Star Wars propaganda, which I feel has its place in literature but doesn't really go under 'original sci-fi'. It's great reading if you like Star Wars though. The Darth Bane books (I think it's a triliogy) are particularly good.
22. The original main theme for Legend of Zelda, any of the Tetris music, and the SMB underwater theme. I've actually learned to play it on the alto sax, alebit out of key... It sounds fine, it's music for a piano though...
23. Not that. Where you host it. I generally host it on my DevART, and if you look closely enough, it says http://www.hawkxs.deviantart.com/whateber name of image is. It also does that on PhotoBucket, so unless you upload with like ImageShack or summat I don't see a way that someone who really wanted to couldn't see that it's yours. But this is a fairly pointless argument... idk.
24. Don't Be Cruel - Cheap Trick.... Mozart - Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
