Logitech generally has high quality products- if you want the gaming keyboard and the mouse and have the money for it, I'd say buy it. Both are quite nice and comparitively speaking (on the keyboard) it's relatively cheaper than similar products... (keyboards that glow.)

Can someone point me to a good smudging tut? I'm having issues with the smudging bit. -.-

Ha, thanks. I think the text is just crazy enough to work. 8-) The render's kind of cruddy though... It's just a screenshot from Lego Island 2... That I rendered... :roll:

C4Ds: on PlanetRenders, just look through their C4Ds and find ones you like... Also look for 'complicated' ones; lots of sharp points, etc. to add texture to the background. Also find some more brushes... And don't use the RGB Pick or whatever does the messed up TV static thing... It looks ugly, no offense. Try using Distorts>Pick then use Motion Blur to give it a bit of flow, pick something (see the clone trooper gun in my sig) and set the angle to match that. EDIT: Copied what I said on devart: Better, but next time try adding C4Ds (desaturated, layer set to overlay, fiddle with opacity) and maybe some random brushing (new layer, pick color that goes with render, pick cool brushes [try ~Knux57] then set to soft light/overlay)

^ Not true. The Jonas Brothers had a CD out before they were 'Disneyified'... Sure they probably wouldn't be as popular, but they'd still be out there even if Disney hadn't given them a contract.

Try something: Background layer: Solid color, matches render Middle layer: copy/paste render to cover layer, gaussian blur, other random things to make it look some what not-a-render (if that makes sense) Top layer: Render Then chuck in whatever you see fit... C4Ds, brushes, smudging, etc. And thanks for the render link. :D

I own both a Wii and a PC, so I was wondering which one to get. I know the Wii version doesn't have online play but I think I would really enjoy the realistic gameplay (I really do play hockey)... But I read that the goalies weren't realistic in NHL2K9... And to me the goalies are the best... (my position :thumbup: ) So which one would you recommend? Does anyone own one of these games and can give pros/cons of each?

I would love to be able to own another NES... I used to have 2 then my house flooded and they died... (insuance company paid for a GC though so it was okayish) Or I'd love to be able to buy a N64. Never had one but the games were relatively good and I liked the controllers.

I'll try it for you, it probably won't be the same exact pic of Midna but I'll look for it. (I'm going to use a render so it's easier for me)

Do as Shiny said and pencil out what you're doing. It might help to draw the original in miniature just to get a feel for the painting. Also I'm not sure about paint, but I would go with either acrylic (art paint) or latex paint (instead of oil because it's easier to mix/clean up) And you can probably go to a local hardware store (Home Depot, Lowe's) and pick up a few pints/gallons of mis-mixed paint that may not be exactly the color, but since you're going to be mixing them it shouldn't matter. And when it's finished (or even to track the progress) a pic would be nice.

It's interesting, and I do enjoy the Mercutio quote (my favorite character in the play). Since this is a persuasive speech/essay you wouldn't add this but maybe you could address the point that the No Child Left Behind Act also helped children with disablilities... but I'm not sure how you turn that into supporting your position. Anyway, it's very good and it was interesting to read as well.

Sure. And also, you could consider just posting a bit of it, perhaps a page or so. I know that others who are publishing their stuff sometimes do that.

I've been adding random crap to the background with the Diagonal Star brushes, that's why... I've been using them with too saturated colors. So will be making another one and trying to get rid of the lines or at least have fewer. EDIT: Here's one without the star brushes:

^ I don't really classify AC/DC as classic rock... They're more of 'classic metalish stuff' because to me classic rock is Journey, some Queen, the Eagles... But they came back... DANG IT ALL NONE OF IT'S CLASSIC ANYTHING NOW. Why do all these bands have to ocme back after forever? I mean they don't suck now, but blah... idk. Ignore me.
