thanks harry, and no...not feeding him...he looks lean and mean....just fine for this work. As to refinements...what did ya have in mind?
  3. I decided to rework the horse for the muscle one. Rather than make it less evil, I just made it black.

No reference rendering with pen in Corel Painter. Then colored in Corel Photopaint.
  11. No reference rendering of pegasus using a pen in painter
  12. Hey! I was already working on that! Headache ted.... Ted has a bad day....
  13. The feet are actually not too bad. The main problem I see with them is that they are both exactly pointing forward with very little space between them. An assassin especially would have better balance than that, probably a wider stance etc. The left shoulder goes out too far making the guy seem a bit thick at the top which accentuates the narrow feet. The right arm is not bad, but the left one shows almost a bend backwards...not possible. Also, while you at times might have a cloth that spirals around an arm like that usually it is not the case in quite that fasion.
  14. Are the clouds filtered? They sure look like it....brush them on...and keep brushing through part of the other image.

  17. I am not familiar with the reference, but the work itself looks pretty good. Here are some tutorials on shading. Brush: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=879 ... ht=shading Pixel: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=82865 Non tip stuff: anime: http://www.bakaneko.com (server works sometimes, not others) Tons of good tutorials from gfx board: http://www.gfxartist.com/features/tutorials If you want to actually watch people paint try this thread, it gives you a link to open canvas and you can watch tons of people's events files which show the whole process...great stuff! http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10969
  18. despaxes, nice dragon. Do you have a macro mode on your camera? That often helps in such works. And be sure not to use the flash but to do it in bright lighting.
  19. New topic, anything from mythology
  20. I think he is saying the grip is too skinny..in any case it is slightly off center. I really like the sketch..the pixel version loses so much! Just brush it and be done! (I know, I am biased)
  21. Thanks! wow, haven't seen you around in a bit :)
  22. Don't let the jerks get you down...just needs some refinement.
  23. hm, the folds in the cloth really throw this for me....they look like lumps or something...needs work there. The face is not well defined either. There is a nice element in the firm shading.
