Isn't Britain the country that takes Rememberance Day the most seriously? I normally am standing, not sitting, in front of the television in silence during the two minute silence, and we'll just have the TV left on that channel until it finishes. However this time I was having a sleep-over at a mate's house and clean forgot what day it was until after 11 o'clock.

Yeah I found Deism a while ago, but it doesn't really beleive in a God as such, more that we should just respect nature as the thing that sculpted us into what we are. I guess that could just mean that nature is God, and nature created the universe, but it doesn't tell you how, just that we should respect it now we have it which I agree with totally. However, as Deism doesn't actually have a God, is it a religion or a faith? And to Sly_Wizard, isn't saying that God is non-corporeal just a little convenient? It's just saying, that someone can put something somewhere and then just not "be" anymore. It is, again, trying to answer the BIG questions by putting in some abstract answer that, however hard you try, is impossible to prove right or wrong.

I'm actually tempted to grind up some glass and eat it... Who said that you should grind it up? Real OTers eat it whole. Yeah, let's eat a "whole glass" because of course it's quantifiable like that! :P ;) EDIT: Just realised that that could mean eating a glass-cup, wheras I did actually mean a shard or some such thing... :roll:

Evolution isn't one stage of change, evolution is a constant and the human race even continues to evolve, we've become taller and unfortunately more susceptible to disease as we've evolved for the modern world. Not sure about the taller thing, but yes, more susceptible to disaease. Allergies in particular are a great example. Remember that evolution takes thousands of years plus, so a noticeable physical change could take a very long period of time. Vestigal organs{like muscles attached to the ear(they do not develop enough to be of use as in other primates), and the tailbone }and dormant DNA is yet another example; some instances of these have been nearly eradicated, but some humans can actually grow tails, albeit it's very rare. Toes are some of the more recent physical changes in humans. Saruman, answer the question. Do you believe the earth is circa 10,000 years old. First of all, answer my post. Second, what's the question? I was just commenting on how there were giants back then. I mean, if you mean time, then yes, I do. How can you just "beleive" something still when it has been proven wrong so many times?

We have definitely become a lot taller, even in the last 500 years. If you look at neolithic skeletons they're are noticeably smaller, but as I said, even 500 years ago the average height was considerably smaller. In my opinion evolution had been proven without a doubt, and I agree with most scientists in thinking that the Earth is hundreds of millions of years old. However, the only thing that can't really be proven right or wrong by anyone, for now at least, is how the Earth came about in the first place. Even if you beleive the Big Bang theory, what started the explosion, and how did the stuff get there to explode in the first place? I think that creating a God is just a way to stop people's brains exploding over such a question - the more I think about it the more impossible it seems to answer. There is no religion that says that there was a God who just put some energy in the Universe and then disappeared, but if there was that would be the one I would be most inclined to go along with. However I will remain atheist most likely for the rest of my life - whether it's due to my cynicism or realistic outlook. A huge flaw in the "God" theory is this question: How did God get there? Is there a God for that God, and then a God for that one and so on and so on? Saying that there is a God that did everything in impossibly miraculous ways is, in my opinion, just a way of sweeping away all the BIG questions in the world by giving them a simple answer that, although it sounds bizarre, can't be proven wrong. It could also well be just a way to control someone - claiming that you have links with the person that created the Universe back in the days when everyone beleive in a God without a flicker of doubt would put you in a very powerful position.

I know someone who broke a little bone somewhere in his foot and walked around with it for like 2 months. When he finally went to a doctor because it kept hurting, they took pics and it turned out he'd broken something. It doesn't always have to hurt like mad, really. I've heard stories of the same thing. Yea my dad once broke his thumb and just thought it was "badly bruised" for about two weeks before he got it checked out by a doctor and found it was broken. Anyways, you should probably go and have it checked out just in case it is broken to avoid any long term damage. Better safe than sorry! ;)

Wow I've had far too much work to do recently. That far too much work being my GCSE Geography coursework... Anyways, my intro and methodology done,107 questionnaires collected, 3 maps drawn and 9 different methods of data representation written up, I'm finally onto the analysis stage (the end bit) and should be back to actually having time to play RS within a day or two! That is if I don't get any extra homework to add on to the fact that I've got History and English Coursework essays in for this week and then French Aurals coming up at the beginning of next month! :roll:

I have to agree with you on that matter. However, the way you worded it is as if you were making a pre-emptive strike on anyone who was going to criticise you for your opinion. On the other side of that arguement however, is that if you have friends willing to help you, RS is a community game and doesn't necessarily have to be just one person helping an account grow. (I'm not talking about account sharing but about other players helping you through.) If you can get friends who are willing to help you overcome your dodgy combat obstacle then well done for managing too. However, if someone asked me to help and I wasn't really good friends with them I honestly wouldn't put myself out to such an extent.

I slay. ;) Slayer, for me, is what keeps RS going. You get different tasks all the time and get the chances of really great drops while all the time being able to upgrade and modify your setups. It's versitility is what makes it so fun, and only after literally months of slaying do I get bored of it. Monster hunting never grows old for me. This time I don't mean slayer but KBD, KQ, GWD, DKs, even just Barrows. You never do the same thing twice, and there's always the chance of a great drop to reward you for your efforts.

All skills in RS are, obviously, skills. To be a skiller implies not that you have no combat levels - that's a pure skiller - but that your non-combat skills are generally higher than your combat skills. Combat skills involve being able to kill things better, and being a "skiller", like many terms used in RS, doesn't actually mean that you train skills because everyone does that, but that you train predominantly non-agressive skills.

Wow that article sums them all up pretty well. Luckily for me I'm awful at questing and so haven't unlocked the 64 battlestaves - ~60k profit - per day yet, and the pineapples and sand... well I just can't be bothered. I always do MTK, but I only update it every 3 to 4 days or so, and I do Tears of Guthix every week as soon as I can. I've egnored the circus for the last few weeks, again just out of pure laziness. I could probably get quite a lot of money and each day if I spent an hour a day going around and doing all these things, but with the amount of IRL work I'm getting at the moment I'm lucky to be on for an hour at all, and I would be spending all my play time doing chores - the thing I escape from by playing RS! For things like the buckets of sand, I've been running right by his house and just completely forgotten he's there too. :roll:
