  1. A few gfx tweaks and gameplay changes today: First off: Oziach no longer comes out of his house! No more noobies killing newbies who are buying thier first rune platemail! Next: The floor of the Buthorpe Games Room has been changed to proper marble. Next: When going through the Shantay Pass, unnecessary warnings have been removed. It is now much faster to get into the desert. Most Likely, but not confirmed: Totz-Jad (702) no longer respawns after you defeat him. *bug fix* Confirmed: The minimap has been altered to make it look cleaner. More to come as they are confirmed. Well, since the update teams are busy with our massive update for next week, the other departments did a bang up job this week with thier extra time. There's your updates for this week folks. Sure, its not a new item or monster, but most of these are well needed (Oh please let them not give you the Shantay Disclaimer)! Happing Scaping!
  2. But Alas, Lime, the schedule is not weekly, it is monthly. At no point did they say it would be out this week. We are just far too accustomed to weekly updates.
  3. Forget weapons..they should have negative stats. Just make them wieldable.
  4. Dragon Slayer...no joke. And I will post on Shiva's behalf. The entire morning he got members, he kept messaging me going "omg, this is the coolest thing ever!" He dragged me all the way from Yanille to Falador so he could show me his full white robes with white boots and white party hat. :)
  5. You as members used to get updates less frequently than once per month. Jagex owes you nothing. You have access to everything that is currently in the game, so your $5 is being put to use. Even if they updated twice a month, Runescape is flat-out the most-updated online game, and we pay half if not a third of what most other P2P MMO's pay. So quit being a whiney baby and wait. If you factor in what could be released next week, the update would be grand.
  6. Oh geez, its you again. I may not have been around from ScapeBoard, but when I was a newbie to TIF, I remembered you posting all the time.
  7. Then explain to me why everyone seems to post that Jagex put the Chain into the game as a status symbol? I am sure that if everyone who wanted a chain and had the means (combat for Queen or slayer for dust devils) went out and tried to get one, they would probably get one after a hard month's work. Considering the current prices, that is well worth it. However, everyone just buys one for rediculously inflated prices...because it is easier. That is why the Chain is so rare. There are so few people earning them and so many wanting to buy one. The people earning them are doing it less-so for themselves and more just to make a quick buck. Besides, there is the slayer skill. How many people who have the means skip over Kalphite (or just kill the workers and not the Queen) or skip the 200 Dust Devils? However, as you said, people love slaying the metal dragons. So my conclusion is that the prices are set because people are lazy. The situation could easily be changed and Chain prices would drop because everyone who wanted one has it.
  8. People are too spoiled on once-a-week updates. We should really be lucky we have been getting them. Guild Wars gets one update every 4-5 months. Bah, after reading the official forums, its ticking me off. There's some people in there with raging sarcasms acting like Jagex owes them a timely weekly update.
  9. The reason that Chain is worth more than legs on the street is because the runescape economy is run by 12-year olds. Premise: If it looks good, its expensive...however impracticle it may be. Explain to me once more why inferior armor and paper hats make up the ceiling? Trust me, there are not as rare as people let on.
  10. Its 6.50 AM here. Updates usually do not come until 9-10 AM. So, rest yon weary hears for there are almost 3 hours to go.
  11. More importantly, why the did the first guy bump a 2 year old post to ask someone a question? Its called Private Messaging.
  12. Anyone with half a brain would ignore the thread instead of saying something unconstructive and make themselves sound like a big-headed moron. Check your ego at the door, please.
  13. Id like to know that too. Most of my swordsmans future armor set is Lucky, and I bought a 20k silk hat (+4) for my archer.
  14. Remember the platelegs are part of the large armor (as in full helm, Platebody, Platelegs, Kite Shield). More powerful armor=more expensive.
  15. That is Final Fantasy (US) or as what we today call it Final Fantasy 4 (the first FF game released in the United States). The character is Kain, not cecil. Cecil would either be a black knight or paladin. That character is a Dragoon Lancer, which would make him Kain. Of course, I have only played the GBA form of the game, and not the PS remake (which sucked...they should have entirely remade the game...not put SNES graphics with CG cutscenes...)
  16. History teacher. Im going to be easy going in class, but strict on my plans for my students. Basically, I will be nice but I will not slack off when it comes to thier education. Mostly since...I will be a teacher in 3 years.
  17. Tell, TheDemon I said hi, we partied a bit. And where did you find that giant archer?! I know where the giant tigers are, but geez!
  18. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=403422 This is the first time Shiva and I ever met, almost 1.5 year ago. Pics: ^^Note my level in red :P^^ ^^Shiva leading away one of the survivors, after I teleported away from the "drop party"^^ Some vintage posts from that thread: This next one is after a contest to see how many people could trade spam us if we said "Trade me for free Santa hats!" About the first paragraph. Its...ironic...since in his last few months he often had that problem in his Guthans or other expensive armor. And the sig...I loved that sig.
  19. Hindu. He was not as religious as he would have liked to be, but he still practiced his faith.
  20. Check your calender. I am pretty sure that today is the 12th, which makes Saturday the 18th.
  21. I'm on that server, Nadril :P. My names are JeremiahXin and FiXian. Ive noticed that thieves are annoying. They pop out of nowhere and if the caravan they were chasing gets away, they attack you (level 20 thief vs level 14 = not fun fight).
  22. *Looks at hastily edited topic title* There you go.
  23. Which forum? I know he owns a website for AOE3, but I didn't think he went anywhere else. No plaque will do for this occasion. There needs to be a statue in front of the CW arena. Etched into history will be the image of Anarith wearing full gold CW armor (with possibly hundreds of extra tickets, mind you) ripping the whip out of Abyssal Demon carcass. Heck, this needs to happen. That man was Castle Wars in its purest form.
  24. Almost a year ago, Zamorakian mages expirimenting with teleportation to the Abyss to attempt Runecrafting suffered a terrifying accident. At the loss of over 100 young students, a rift was formed...locating itself at the top of an abandoned castle in Morytania. Through this rift, thousands of Abyssal Demons descended upon the inhabitants of the castle and whiped them out. Luckily for the common Runescapian, the average Abyssal Creature is not intelligent enough to open doors. The demonic Aura from these beasts attracted other frightening creatures such as Gargoyles and Nechraels, who had defeated many brave warriors over the ages and collected a nice lot of treasure in thier lairs. Other phantasms that came to the place of darkness included smelly apparitions, giant tongues, deadly undead mages, screaming ghouls, and decapitated hands. Five of Gielenor's mightiest heroes gathered to discuss what was to be done in the light of this dark tower. Tureal of Buthorpe, Mazchna of Canifis, Vannaka of Edgeville, Chaeldar of Zanaris, and Duradel of Shilo knew what had to be done. They invaded the tower and slew as many creatures as they could, but more poured out of the rift. It soon became evident that these Abyssal demons were beginning to shape the behaviors of various creatures across the land. The slayer masters decided to recruit the mightiest fighters from across the land to spread out and increase thier ability to kill and eventually have the experience to fend off the invasion from the Abyss. One year later, the Demons still stand strong. However, mighty heroes have defeated many of the greater evils and found great treasure such as armored boots and mauls of granite. It is even said that an intact intestine of the Abyssal Demon can be used as a weapon of ultimate power... The Council sent one of its members to the scene. He found himself in Canifis Proper, where he made inqueries of the locals to find the haunted castle... He then fought his way to the steps of the castle, but a terrifying scream startled him in activating his ectophial. He returned to the Council, and demanded that help be given in slaying these fierce monsters, beginning at the step from which he left off. Warriors, Mages, and Archers of Runescape! The Council of Entertainment that you know as the Tip.It Events Team has sent out a notice in urgent need of recruits to help turn back the invasion! Great rewards await those who come and assist in the Slaying of the Tower Demons! A scroll is posted in every city in Gielenor, it reads: See you all there!
  25. The loss of my best friend in the virtual world...We've been screwing around together for almost 1.5 years :(. I remember January 12th being the last time I heard from him. He kind of seemed down...now I know why. He was extremely generous and...I just do not know what to say. May the Good Lord bless you and keep you, and may His countenance shine upon you, and be gracious unto you. Goodbye, old friend.
