  1. Launch a noob! I like it, except for the stealth troops.
  2. The definition of a terrorist under the patriot act is "anyone who endanger's human life". That seems fine at first, but think about it in lawyer speak- where it will be applied. It I decide to go jaywalk, I am then considered a terrorist under the patriot acts definition of a terrorist. Why? Because when I jaywalk, I am technically endangering human life. Sure, if im not a terrorist, I have nothing to worry about. But according to the patriot act, I may just be considered a terrorist. Well, according to the Patriot Act, you only have to fear about being tapped if you go bragging about jaywalking to a guy overseas who has connections with Al Queda. The Act does not monitor domestic communications, only communications made from the US to known terrorists abroad.
  3. Im really not against the Patriot Act. It does not mean that the US is going to bug every Joe Smith's phone. It will only be employed in situations where the person is known to or believed to be linked with terrorist organizations, much like the legal ways we bust drug trafficing. All the listening posts will be focused on the recieving end, so no bugging will be done on US soil. So really...if you are not a terrorist, you have nothing to worry about.
  4. The quest involved could open up a plethora of new support prayers. The cleric class needs to make a comeback. Screw the triangle, lets get a Pentagon in here.
  5. Our Uni in Texas uses those for the Dining Halls. I personally buy bottles or jugs for normal consumption, though.

I'm a well-versed student in Apocalyptic prophecies in the Bible. Would you mind telling me just where it says 2012 is the end of the world? Christ himself said that "the day and hour is unknown." And trust me...when God takes down the world, no weapon of man can compare to his wrath. Also, most of the SW US gets its water from the underground aquifers (states like West Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona).
  7. There were parts of the speech in which he was so serious, he dropped the whole Southern accent and went straight into a Yale one. I was like...wow?! Is that the same guy! I'm glad I voted for him. He has big brass ones, and I hope that the next President (no matter what party) also has the cahones to step outside popular opinion and get things done.
  8. So, President Bush just gave the new State of the Union. The first half hour of the speech was a visionary statement of America's foreign policy. The President spoke of the many new multipartisan democratic elections spreading across the East and criticized Iran and Lebanon for thier contracts with terrorists. To be honest, this part was really not the gem of the speech. The most awe-inspiring part of this Address was the domestic affairs: Bombshells such as: THE LINE ITEM VETO FOR THE PRESIDENT!!! -Theres a reason why Texas and other states with the line veto have amazingly efficient governments, and thats the ability for the Governor to strike out single items of a bill. This would allow the President to eliminate Pork Barrelling without having to cut an entire bill. Reauthorizing the Patriot Act: -The President wants the Act to only extend to foreign communications. He gives the reason that Law Enforcement agencies have been using this technique for years successfully, what reason is there to not use it here?! Energy Research -Big item here. He wants power for our housing to depend on clean-burning coal, wind power (my entire city of 350,000 and the surrounding 250 miles are powered by windmills), and clean-safe nuclear fusion. -Automobile fuel research in the areas of more efficient batteries for hybrid vehicles, more efficient Hydrogen engines. -The President's plan will decrease the American reliance on Middle Eastern oil by 78% by 2025. Take that you guys who think we went to Iraq for the oil. Education Reform -The President's initiative will increase math and science education across America to give students a competitive edge in the world. In addition, it will train 70,000 teachers to teach AP courses and bring 30,000 professionals into high school classrooms. Tax Reform: -The cutting of fring programs with no results to keep Bush's tax cuts in place for more than 20 years. It also leads the groundwork to cut the Deficit in half by 2009. Social Security and Medicare Reform -Let's face it folks. By 2020, Social Security will be eating up 70% of the nation's budget. Bush pretty much said that if the Democrats and Republicans don't stop eating eachothers butts over this issue and get something done about it, the government will not be able to function. Please discuss in an orderly manner these and other facets of the Address. *Personal thought on Democratic Response...Was this guy even AT the Address?*
  9. Fremmenik Blade *Fremmenik Blade kill count above level 90: 27* The sheer sexyness of the Blade kills people. Not to mention having hundreds of noobs parade behind you worshiping the Blade.
  10. Ahh, I thought I'd let everyone know since I didn't see any threads about it. And of course vent a little :x BTW, any other good alching spots that make the task less boring? There's the nice observation area above the duel arena, where you can see all the fights. Just like the nifty observation area in Castle Wars. They did it because there are only so many available slots in the duel arena. If you get in a crowded staking world, there are at least 50-100 alchers inside the arena. When the arena maxes out, people are not able to duel. Sure, this inconvenience only lasts for a few moments, but the n00bs complain anyway. It's not that much of a loss, really. You still can watch the fights from a distance.
  11. It would not surprise me at all if all the level 90+ slayers conspired together to keep the drop a secret until they have amassed large quantities of it, then flood the market with ultimate weapons and make profit up the whazzoo.
  12. All longswords. They should have made the Fremmenik sword the standard longsword in-game. Now that's a sexy weapon. Scimitars=ugly Whips=sausage links
  13. Cannnnnnnnnnnn't wait! April 15th, I am told.
  14. '94 Saturn SL2 ftw! The only time I have EVER intentionally broken the traffic laws had nothing to do with games. Some guy pulled up in a Lancer and started revving his engine and honking his horn. I felt obligated to show him up, so I beat him out of the light...he wanted to continue and I continued to oblige him. Needless to say, I started to slow down when I hit 127. I felt really guilty about the whole thing (after I got over bragging about whipping him) and now I drive like a sane person again. Remember kids: Driving defensively saves you gas and money!
  15. Try it again. Ive been going there three times a week for the past month and there are at least 8 people there at any given time.
  16. Probably :) Heck, they could even increase the size of worlds over 2000 players. Wouldn't that be wild?
  17. 10:1 Jack Thompson is on it before the end of the week. It really depends on the person, I think. I've played racing games and I drive slower than Grandma. I play First Person Shooters and I can't even point a gun at another living creature (loaded or unloaded). People were street racing long before Need for Speed came out. Unfortunately, these guys were not as cognizant of the difference between a controlled atmosphere (games) and the randomness of the real world.
  18. Nah, that wouldn't work that well, from what I heard Guild Wars gets very minimal updates So you would have the members world but get the updates of f2p pretty much... Minimal? Actually they get Monumental updates every few months, and holiday items. The staff even routinely communicates with players and implements suggestions made by the community.
  19. heh yea, then we can act like the sandwich lady and smack people with our bread yelling "Hey! I didn't say you could have that!" Well, with today's update we can wield a lantern... I will not rest until I can equip my fishing rod.
  20. Werd. It's so unstraight how they kept bumping it though -.-' Oh well, it should be a perfect 10 when it comes out though :o Im screaming in anticipation for this game. It's going to be one of the most interesting and beautiful games on any current gen console (it even beats out Shadow of the Colossus in my book). Miyamoto kept bumping it back because he did not want to release it until it was perfect...especially since it will be the last game ever made for the Game Cube. Of course, with the beautiful graphics, new dungeons, and fully orchestrated soundtrack...it will be the BEST game ever made for the Game Cube...yes, even better than RE4.
  21. I was actually thinking about this today. I would love it. It would be a perfect tie-in with Player Owned Houses, really.
  22. Just because you don't understand my point that doesn't mean it makes no sense. The new potatoes have a use in that they allow much lower leveled people access to making food with healing that before was exclusive to high levels. It's a very useful update for smaller players. I meant worthless in the context of having a value to the game, not any one player in particular. Maybe you should reread what I said then. Because I recall stating that this is only useful for those people who can't fish/cook sharks. And that I'm positive of. Which still would make this update useless. barihawk: Experience is pointless really. The amount of exp you get in comparison to the time it takes probably isn't worth it anyways. Thats my prediction at least. And I haven't seen any numbers that say otherwise, yet. A new option is great, but fish will probably always be the best. SImply because there isn't a whole lot involved in it. EDIT: If yous wanna argue with me more... Go here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=2620842#2620842 I'd rather not keep discussing something off topic on this thread. Its not exactly fair to those who are here to read about what the topic suggests. I just thought I'd say my piece about this update as a whole. Wasn't expecting this to turn into an off topic debate. EDIT2: Either go there, or PM me. But you fail to factor in people who really do not care about time. If you look at my stats compared to the time I have been playing, I have been taking it easy. I'm also starting to get bored with runescape, so something that would occupy my time like making potatoes would be a welcome change of pace. Sure, I could go fish lobsters and cook them...but that would just be routine boringness. Also, this way I can close the awful gap between my fishing and cooking levels. Will they replace sharks? Probably not. Will they replace Manta's? Maybe. Compared to foods that heal the same amount, they are rediculously easy to attain.
  23. Everyone misses the point: The cooking required to make this potato gives an obscene amount of experience. It's worth it to cook them and get quick cooking levels and a nifty surplus of rediculously awesome training food. It's not intended to replace anything, just to give us more options. I for one am tired of eating fish.
  24. No, you don't. It's obviously a crossbow if you adjust the contrast of the image. We know what the Dagonnoth armor is...thats been in the game much longer than the Kings. And Katana's are only 3 feet long, not 6 (we can not all fulfill your obsession with Sephiroth, sorry) and Wazikashi's even shorter (which is what most people think the Rogue is wielding). Tell me one place in this entire topic that says that this would happen this week. The topic is saying "please let it be Eastern Lands!" in reference to the new picture posted on Runescape.com. You obviously did not read the topic and just assumed he meant "Please let this week's update be the Eastern Lands".
