And Asus is one of the best brands, I own an Asus laptop, older model, but had no trouble with it whatsoever. That Asus computer that I have, is the only computer that didn't have a part fail on me for such a long time! I had it for almost a year now, and with every other computer, I had something like a graphics card or a RAM stick fail on me only after a few months. Not my Asus, and it seems to be the one laptop in my class that still is as fast and functionnal as new. Not trying to be an Asus fanboy here, since it's not the only good brand out there, but you, laura, seem to have became a fangirl of Macs, and it's starting to get on my nerves that you say macs are better, or think that all the people are as rich as you, cause you seem to be rich always telling people to buy expensive things. Not everyone has money to fork out, you know? I do agree though that macs are good computers, but they're overpriced and not always someone's needs. Anyway, I'm not going to continue on this.

I still think it's overhyped. Let's see how it goes where it's the flu season, this will indicate the way it will work most likely, but I'm not worried. Hell, I'm buying [cabbage] loads of pork at the price they went, there's such good deals since people think they can get the flu from pork it's not even funny.

Lol, makes me think of yesterday, some guy started to follow me just saying "friend". I said that I never seen him before, and then his answer was that I was seeing him at the present time. He then proceeded to repeat "friend", so I just clicked to make my character sit down, just to see how long he would be around. He repeated "Friend" for 5 minutes until getting bored and walking away. I was in a free world wearing member's things, so I don't know why he wanted me to add him to the friendlist. Was it my member's armor? Found it pretty hillarious the time he spent just being there, me completely ignoring him and talking in the clanchat.

Jobs are easy to find, try to get one at a store or fast-food, you'll have the money for a small laptop in no time :).

Hmm, I don't know if my solution would work since it worked only in IE before I did the tweak in the Java control panel, but on yours it doesn't work, so most of the chances are that the problem is different. I'll tell you the tweak if the post over mine doesn't help at all.

Uhm, the current firefox is able to do that, I did that like a year ago, that tab dragging thing in firefox.

You say Opera has a larger footprint? Both Firefox and Opera are on the Tif forum only in the next picture. If you want I can take a screenshot of the full desktop background to show you proof. Safari may lead on Macs, but it's far from leading on Windows. And I don't think Chrome leads either, it's not even complete.

Thanks, but I found out, while monitoring the temperatures for a longer time that idle to mid-load, the temperatures tend to be around 50. I find it a little high, since usually the highest it would go was 40 on full load, I will try and see the temps on full load, but either way, I'm going to change the thermal paste in there, I've had the computer for almost 3 years and it's still the same, I heard some people say for prebuilt computers the paste is there for life, but I'm starting to doubt that. The lagging seems to have gone away by itself.

Did you spill any water on it?

The Asus that has been posted is the one I suggest too. They make very high quality laptops (well, the one I have (Asus) has some real quality in it, not something we see everyday in most companies). Despite the price, it's stronger than the MSI. I personnally will never go for MSI, I always had trouble when I had to deal with something that was MSI.

Hi, this is a problem that only occasionnally happen, but it's getting worse lately, and I'm wondering if I have the right voltages and such on the CPU or any other part of the computer. I'm also wondering if I should change the thermal paste under there, still a prebuilt, but I had it for almost 3 years now. I did upgrade it a lot though. PC specs: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit AMD AthlonX2 dual core 4600+(2.4GHz) 4GB RAM DDR2 PC2-4200 1TB HDD and 750GB HDD Geforce 9800GT I know it's not the video card, because when it lags, if I'm writing, the letter that I was pushing at the freeze repeats itself in a long string, even if I continue writing. Any help apreciated. I can change my Windows language to english if you absolutely need that in english.

Meh, it goes with the experience I had with it. With Avast, [cabbage] loads of false positives and seems to not be able to fully delete the virus, AVG, a very low detection rate. Avira, on the other hand, while having some false positives too, actually detects the viruses and fully deletes them.

Screw Vista, and go Windows 7. You can even torrent the latest version of the RC for Windows 7 and have a free O/S till January or February, or until it's commercially sold. :) I do have Windows 7 RC, but I was saying that in the way that I wouldn't need to waste such money. Anyway, on my current computer, Vista 64bit is faster than W7 64bit for some reason.

Heh, was quite easy for me to upgrade to 64bit. I first had xp on the computer, but crashed and had all sorts of bugs, even with it to date and all the drivers. I then moved to Vista 32bit, which was already faster and more stable than xp without Sp1, but got the service pack the next day. I'm now on Vista 64bit, and it goes much faster than it did on 32bit. Hp did not have 64bit drivers for my computer, but I still managed to get some. I know I wasted a bit of money on this, but I hope I can put that 64bit Vista on my next computer build next year.

Install XP on it, of course! There's a 64 bit version of XP too ;) Yep, but since XP 64 was made for the businesses, it has [cabbage] loads of compatibility problems.

Out of curiosity, how old are you? 21 but it's still extremely rare it happens, happens most ofthen if I'm very tired and did some hard work the day before.
