Well, even if I like Notepad++ pretty much, I don't care about using Visual Studio, anyway the college forces me to use it, so why not use it?

Go for it, take up their time, make them pay ;). As for compfreak, where did you get that link? It's not true and is very inacurrate. Dell computers are the worst prebuilts you can get nowadays, they break easily and you don't have support. That is despite the fact that Dell was one of the best in the early 2000 years (if I said that correctly). The best brands you could get nowadays are HP and Asus. I've had very good costumer support with my broken HP screen, although I wont send it to a repair center, with the fact that it's out of warranty(a bit aged lcd screen) and would cost more than a new screen. I don't know if I was lucky though.

I'm currently a programming student in college. I know C++ and am learning VB.net. I will learn more languages in the year and a half to come, like php, java, we will even program some programs on linux. This is just to name a few.

There, changing the ISP tomorrow, I can't wait to see the new results I will have.

Well, since I'm more on Vista than W7, I didn't try much to play Rs on W7. All I know though is that even if Java is installed, it will not load when we go and try to play it on either Firefox or IE. While writting that, I thought of a way, but I can't go and try that right now :S. It's like we have to find a way to link them =\. I think that we would have to wait for a w7 version though.

Lol McAfee has Tons of loopholes. And to me the log looks clean as well, although I'm not that good to read them either. Good antiviruses would be NOD32, Kaspersky or Avira antivir if you want a free one.

From what I've heard, some people have found the actual download link, and then you can download it from any browser... I have not tried this, though. I did, and downloaded it when other people were crying because the link wasn't on the windows 7 page lol. I downloaded it from msdn. The links are gone now though.

I think they decided to let people have more liberty with the censor, and if they insult others with the words, the people still gets reported.

Looks to me like you have a BSOD, but without being able to get in your windows, I don't see how you could get to see it.

Yeah it does run much faster than Vista, which already ran much faster than XP on my computer. That means, it's the fastest I know, although Ubuntu is still faster in loading at the beginning :P. I have had no issues yet, exept a BSOD at the laptop shutdown, just after installing some drivers. But anyway, just a beta, I'll just send the feedback and the dmp file.

I plan on going to live somewhere in Québec. It's not too expensive living there and you can get nice jobs. Although other places that are interesting are either Toronto or Ottawa, and outside of Canada, I would find interesting living in France or UK.

Well, from personnal experience, Vista is much better than XP. My XP was buggy and all and when I installed Vista, I didn't have any problems. It's even easier to do somethings, and faster when you want to run programs, just press the windows key, type the name of the program, and press enter, there you go, you didn't take the time to find the program on the desktop and didn't take the time to double click. I'm also using Windows 7 Beta and it's a bit faster than Vista.

Even if they have both their pros and cons, I'd still go with a Windows machine. Hell, you can even get Windows 7 when it gets released! I'm currently using the Beta, and it works wonders compared to Windows XP or Vista.

Same for me exept I end up on the computer or with friends.

A bit slower on Windows 7 than vista, but I still load pages faster, so I guess it's more able to manage the bandwith :thumbup:

Hah, where do you live to have Rogers Cable (the ISP I'm switching to in a few weeks :P). Maybe I'll try a speedtest on Windows 7 Beta.

Don't look at blogs for info, it's not reliable. What I learned about Black holes is that they're Neutron Stars that are so heavy and dense that they have enough gravity to deform time and space. They explained it a bit, but I can't make an image of what I mean :wall:

Heh, I like C++ more though. Php just comes next year, but I've seen some similarities between the two.
