Basically it attempts to send a data packet to the RS server to check if it is functioning. However, the information you got showed that it could not connect at all, which is a little strange. What you have to do is find the world address and ping that, but if he can connect, he will not timeout, so it appears to be irrelevant too. Technically you never need to change the RAM. The reason we want the specs is to know whether it's insufficient RAM or something else that is still unknown.

Try deleting the Rs cache? Maybe that would do the trick, maybe the new information didn't properly sync with the old one, there has been 2 updates today as far as I know.

Upgrading the RAM is already a very good idea, since with Vista, 1GB Like you have is the minimum, meaning that your computer will work, but will be very slow. Get another GB and you should be good. It would also be good to know the other specs, as processor, etc.

Yeah, it is better than both XP and Vista in all ways. Faster, very stable and very reliable for whatever I do on it. I also tested for how long I could have the computer on without having crashing program and stability trouble, and after a week it still works perfectly.

Lol, anyway update on the amount of snow, they're currently saying on the radio we had 55.2 cm of snow. Almost beating last year's record.

AVG is one of the worst nowadays, and so is Norton, although in Norton's case, they're trying to make it come back. Less heavy but still bad detection rates.

True, I currently have one of the Sansa familly (although mine is old) and am very pleased with it. It still works after all it went through. Yes, you can go wrong with an Ipod, depends what you do with it.

I wouldn't go for either of them. You can get a good mp3 player for much less money.
