I'm with OldJoe on this one. Your cpu is an old AM2 cpu, you'd be better to get a quad core. Also, 32bit OS on 4GB of RAM won't use all the RAM.

Get rid of that crap that Norton is and get a good antivirus like Avira Antivir, Kaspersky or NOD32.

Lol for me Chrome is slower than Firefox for some reason. Although Opera is faster than both Firefox and Chrome.

In fact, Avast is also declining currently. It has loads of falsepositives and can't delete viruses completely most of the time. For free antivirus, Avira antivir is for the win.

Wow the computer you built seems very weak. Vista usually works better than XP on new computers. I know my computer is just a couple of years old and Vista works much better than XP. I have never crashed or anything on vista while I used to crash a lot on XP. Also Vista is faster than XP. My new PC is hardly weak. :| 4GB RAM @ 1066, NVIDIA 9800GT 512mb, AMD Phenom x3 etc. No, it isn't faster. I can get an additional 10 - 20% more FPS with XP, also I was using Vista x32 not 64 :) Then you did something wrong when you installed Vista, since I have the sames specs, except the processor is an Athlonx2 @ 2.4GHz instead. At one time I had both XP and Vista in dual boot, and still there Vista ran much better and faster than XP. Oh, and my RAM is also lower speed, around 533 if I'm not mistaken.

please refrain from talking in discussions you have no knowlenge about! - It makes you (probably correctly, but that aside) look dumb! mcAffee is still known as a very decent Anti-virus program: it catches most viri and worms! Really and there's a huge difference between hacking and account scamming: account scamming is "legal" (at least according to the law, but morally not): the victim told the scammer his information in some way! Hacking is when the victim doesn't do anything related on purpose, yet the account is compromised! Really keylogging a pin is "just as easy" as keylogging a simple password: the only difference is that the program to hack has to be written especially for runescape (you can't use a generic keylogger). And it has a much larger memory/cpu footer (instead of simply watching for keyboard input it has to watch for mouse input, listen to program output, copying the datastream). - But with nowadays quad core processors you would hardly notice that! Ow btw: bruteforce cracking hardly ever happens nowadays: you probably won't ever notice this, but runescape (as most other programs) have pretty good protection against it! (IE: if it notices you're doing too many attempts in exactly the right time, it blocks your IP, and informs your ISP). Also as for passwords: there used to be 1 major flaw in the runescape password recovery center: I could get my pass with only providing this information: -4 old passwords -some tragi-comical talk about how you lost your account -date last log in All which are (if you're hacked once) easy to get for a hacker! Not sure if it still works though. I think you're the one that has no knowledge about what you talk. Firstly, mcAfee is far from a decent AV program. First, it's one of the most resource hungry AVs out there. Second, it has pretty bad detection rates, and I can prove that to you. You have the choice to either get a good AV like Kaspersky, Avira (full or free edition) or NOD32, jut use an online scanner like Kaspersky's online scanner or Housecall. If you go for another AV, you will see how much of a resource hog mcafee is, if not, you will still see that mcafee didn't detect all your viruses. Even Norton is better than mcafee now, since they corrected a bit the part of their program that made it a resource hog, but it still has bad detection rates. You did not describe hacking in anyway. For it to be hacking, the hacker has to go inside the victim's computer and get that information personnally, in which case, I don't see anywone who would do it. All the "hackers" do is they use phishing sites or sites that send keyloggers as bait for people to willingly go on those site. I think you know the rest. There, short and clear.

It's not hacking, it's account scamming. Also, if his antivirus is AVG, Norton or mcAfee, no wonder it didn't pick up the keylogger.

Thanks for that add-on, I usually have multiple windows open because I have a big screen and that I multitask a lot :). That's going to make my life easier by not having to resize my windows all the time :D.

I cant, because I need to go to the router thing which, ironically, I think involves the internet. Dont worry about it, it seems like a fuss guys, I guess I'll just call the indians. THE HARD TO UNDERSTAND indians. If you didn't, that means the computer is still set for wpa, no wonder it's not working. You have to go in to the computer's internet settings and change them to wep and then put your wep key in the computer's settings.

The only thing you can do only on IE is your windows updates, and that is if you're on XP. If you're on Vista, you don't even use the browser to update. Firefox has very few cons compared to IE, and is a lot easier to use as well. You should think about Opera too though, same speed as Firefox, but all the security is built in instead of having to download a few add-ons like ABP or WoT to have the most of your firefox security.

The prices are incredibly low, even for canadian dollars. I don't trust that site. Use Newegg.ca or ncix.com instead.
