Laptop died - How to approach the store manager?
Sbrideau replied to Miss Lioness's topic in Tech and Computers
You should've sent it in the first time you had troubles with it. Overheating is something that is usually covered. Read your extended warranty and you'll see how to send it in. -
I still read cracked, but I think their quality went way down a few years ago. It's not really funny anymore.

What a nice car! And that guy who bought the miata, are you sure he knew how to drive? LOL he ruined it pretty fast and was probably driving like a maniac doing so.

Sounds Awesome Hugger. Wow seeing this thread again made me think about what happened to my car last month. Someone backed into my car, although they were honest enough to not run away. Still, it pissed me off. Pictures follow. Still cost $1550 CAD, covered by insurance.

If you get muted it won't show you unless you see it when you login, not sure if it's like that in OSRS though.

It's not actually for free, if you get out of the military before the mandatory period that comes with RMC ends, you still have to pay for your classes. And the mandatory period is 10 years. Both my brothers went through RMC. That 10 years include the years you're at the RMC. Yeah thats what i meant, free if you finish your army time. And 5 years after graduating isnt bad at all, especially since minimum salaries for commissioned officers are like 50k a year Pretty much. My brother makes 60k and his wife that also went to RMC makes 40k. I make nowhere near that, to the point that I'm going to start looking for a second job. My current job doesn't pay enough for me to spend on more than food and stuff like that (bills, appartment, etc). The oil change on my car will prevent me from eating for a few days. Not that I'm going to let that happen, I'll probably easily find something to make some money under the table (like fixing a computer for someone or something).

We have these issues here too. CanadaPost made so many cuts lately that now when I order something and it goes through them, instead of the 2 days it says it takes for expresspost, it takes 5 days. If I have the choice I always go for Purolator, they have the best accuracy for their arrival time.

It's not dumb, it's an old version of RS. In all seriousness, they just didn't have time to update rs for the new version of Java that's all.

That's what my dad mentioned today. I knew they stopped support and discontinued it for Windows XP, but I didn't know they were going to for Windows 7. I read a few articles just now that said that even though MSE is still available to download and says it still offers protection, Microsoft has "advised" that people switch to third-party software. Great. Now I gotta look into what the best free software is, and, if my dad wants to start paying for a subscription, what the best paid software is. I read one article that said BitDefender performed very well on the tests, though they were skeptical if the tests were run on the free version. Avira and Avast! also performed well. What are you planning on using? I personally use Kaspersky, not so much for the antivirus, but for the Firewall. I have the internet Security suite and it often goes on special so I get a license for 3 computers for like $50 a year. One of the best firewalls I've seen so far. Also for MSE they're replacing it back for Windows Defender on Win 8+ so yeah, back to their useless protection, but from what I read, MSE went pretty bad near the end anyway.

Yeah that was my first thought since I've had a bit more allergy reactions that I usually have this time of the year. I'm probably still going to get my eyes checked, last checkup for my eyes and teeth were more than 4 years ago, and I have insurance with my job now. By the way it's a pretty awesome picture!

I think I'm going to have to get one of my eyes checked. It's all normal but at the end of the day it's leaking (like crying but from one eye) and it's been like that for a week, but since this morning there's some stuff coming out as well. I sure hate having to miss some work for this as I live paycheck to paycheck.

LSat was also a gun tat was my goto when I was playing BO2 for the same reasons.

The laptop that I bought for $500 last fall has no trouble with fps on RS. Integrated graphics on a last gen i5. I haven't measured it but it's at least 60+ fps on my laptop for RS at highest graphics and highest anti-aliasing.

Yeah, sometimes we get so lucky that we can get quads like that, but on Xbox360 it still isn't as easy as PS3 LOL.

I usually hate tabs opening like that too, but that would be on a personal computer now as I found that function quite useful at work.

Don't expect much of your laptop, especially if it's a 2+ year old Toshiba as they tend to overheat even when cleaned after 2 years, from my experience and from the experience of multiple other people I've known. Especially since this is a pretty old processor with even older architecture, lowering your graphics is the best bet here to increase your FPS, unless you want to change computers.
