With most laptops you can remove the keyboard without taking it appart. Find out if yours is like that too and how to remove the keyboard, and just disconnect the tape style connection (sorry, my english is a bit poor tonight). I'm assuming you're now using either a usb keyboard or a wireless keyboard? Yeah I'm using a usb keyboard. I have a HP Pavilion G6-2399sa and after looking online it seems I have to unscrew the back then pry open the keyboard. I don't see much room for opening it though and I feel it might damage the laptop but it's interrupting with daily use so I gotta do it. I was thinking about replacing it myself but I can't find a white bloody keyboard anywhere. Yeah seems like this kind of keyboard is hard to find :\ tried finding some myself, alhtough I could only find black keyboards, which I'm not even sure would fit with that laptop. When my Asus g53SW broke for the 4th time, I was using a usb keyboard/touchpad combo as well because the motherboard wouldn't let me do otherwise... but that asus would freeze often. Also bought an HP for the same price that motherboard would've cost me, and didn't regret it. HP isn't bad at all. Never get Asus Republic of gamers guys, even though I still think Asus is one of the best brands other than their ROG.

Have you tried updating your Adobe Flash Player? I was also having this problem, but it was with Firefox instead of Chrome. Not sure if the new versions of Flash are the culprit or not as I didn't have the time to test it before I reinstalled windows, which I did for other reasons. Check if you have more than one version of Flash installed.

That picture is definitely cool. As a canadian it's fun to not see snow. As for me today I reinstalled Windows on my computer, was the longest I went without reinstalling and probably has to do with the fact that I didn't purposely break it. Good thing with doing this is that I got most of it's original fast speed I had. With a motherboard that is giving dieing signs for the last 6 months I guess it's not bad at all. (Sorry for bad spelling)

Other thing I would change is the case. CoolerMaster usually makes very good cases, but I suggest not getting one from the Elite line. I myself have an Elite 310 and it's the worst case I have ever bought. I would suggest going for the HAF range of cases, the HAF 912 usually being the least expensive one.

At least it was only -18C where you live. It's much colder here and I can't wait for the temperature to go up again. Supposedly it's going to happen by Monday with a storm.

Happy new year Tif! Just came back from a party and it's 3 AM here. For once new year's eve wasn't my drunkest day in the year. (Although my profile says Quebec, which would mean it's 2AM there, went back to NB for the holidays).

They should work with the iphone too as the only difference is the phone functions. Most of them still require to have itunes installed unfortunately, which I am not willing to do with my computers (got an iphone 5S with work, I prefer my android phone so much more than this icrap). I have yet to find one that doesn't require itunes, although I don't mind extracting the itunes installer so that I can install the drivers only. Also you bumped a very old thread (several years old). You could've created a new one.

Problem with that laptop is it's already quite outdated, and more overpriced than Alienware. Except for the processor and videocard which are similar but newer, this is a laptop with similar specs to my 2.5 year old ROG that cost about half as much. He has stated that he only wants a laptop, and while I agree with getting both for that price since it would be much better, I'll be looking for suggestions when I'm less busy. Just randomly went on the forums for about 5 minutes lol. the screen on that razer also has much less quality than the screen on my old laptop, with resolution that should've been phased out of laptops in this price range for years. My ROG has 1920x1080 resolution which is much better than 1600x900. Haven't look at the technology behind it though as of this thread. There is the thing that I had a 128GB SSD instead of the 256GB SSD that's in that Razer.

With Alienware you pay double the price for the same specs as other brands, and they are quite fragile, and from all the Alienwares I've seen, a lot of them pretty much overheat after around 3 months. I would suggest Asus Republic Of Gamers, but they also have their fair share of problems, mostly with the power button. I don't know with the new models though. I actually have first-hand experience of the ROG problems as I had one myself, now 2.5 years old. From what I've seen, Lenovo makes quite solid machines, and also MSI, which is much better than what it used to be a few years ago. I just arrived from my job's christmas party, so I'll probably look some laptops up for suggestions. For Canada, I suggest buying at ncix.com, pricematched with Newegg and TigerDirect or other online stores, as ncix has very good service and you get what you order surprisingly fast (I used to live in New Brunswick and would get my stuff the day after ordering).

Not enough information. What do you intend to do with it? Where do you live? We can't tell if we need to provide sellers that sell in the United States or Europe. You don't have to be precise, just tell the country.

What the hell? Can't you appeal that crap? Not as far as i know. Not if you're white anyway. If i was Qatari i would probably be able to. If it happens as often as you say, it's probably time to think about a dashcam, that way you'd have proof that it wasn't you and it would probably make it easier to appeal that crap too.

Played free fall for the first time yesterday, I guess I was never with people that also have the map. Going to say it's a pretty good map and quite small and better built than some of the maps of this game. The only problem I have with this map is that with all the fog and stuff in the map, my Xbox360 is struggling to run it, and the fps in that map is pretty low, and even worse when the map shakes. Guess my almost 5 year old Xbox Pro (the one with 60GB HDD) is feeling old. Going to put it appart during the christmas break to clear the dust in there as it's probably what's making it heat up enough to lower the fps in the game, and I wouldn't want to get a RROD with it before I can afford a Xbox one.

Got my new laptop in a pre-black-friday canadian equivalent. Got a $700 laptop for $500. Replaces my not so old shitty ROG laptop that only lasted 2.5 years while the old Asus I used to have still is working and is now 7.5 years old.

At work they recently replaced blackberries with iphones 5s. With the way people talk about them I thought they were better. My old LG Optimus G is faster and smoother than the iphone. I really started to hate iOS after using it for a year and a half. Even with a jailbreak I felt limited. I agree, so far I find the iphone to be extremely limited, and I can't even jailbreak it because it's the work phone, it's not even my own. I still prefer by far to use my android phone which I haven't rooted because I haven't felt the need to do it. Blackberry was pretty good but the iphone can do more than blackberries, but I think iphones are too locked. Also I will never install itunes on my own computers.

Got a new laptop to replace my ROG laptop and went for something small. Regular price was $701 but I got it on sale for $450. Never going for ROG again, they suck. It only lasted 2.5 years. It's a G53SW if anyone is interested in some parts, battery still lasts ~3 hours.

Look at the numbers, Harper is the one that spent the most money in a long time, and only the "Canada Action Plan" ads cost more than the Liberal's sponsorship scandal and failed to create jobs. They're even spending on ads for a program that still doesn't exist. How about the criminal investigation going on currently in Harper's office? Not saying that LIberals or NDP are better, we never know what kind of spending they'll do, but what I believe is it's time for change from this government that's not environment friendly and only believes in oil. Think what you like, but I probably won't continue this debate as political debates never end well.

You're joking? Only gametype people camped on in BO2 was SnD. And it's not even considered camping then. Unless you consider Anchoring in HP/CTF as camping? BO2 Competitive was probably the fastest pace game we're going to see for a very long time. You don't get 40+ kills in a game of HP by camping, haha. Got bored of competitive before BO2 even came out. I haven't seen competitive in BO2. I guess I generalized too much and thought the same thing as the previous years.

Right now anything is better than Harper's government. At least that's what I believe. Never seen a government spend as much as this one and with this many scandals. I believe we better not get on the political talk though, always ends up badly.

Cod has been dull to watch competitively since maybe MW2. They just camp and there's no action at all. I prefer public play than competitive play. Then again I consistently have 2 KDR games even though I don't even care about KDR.

I realize the error of my ways, but I don't have ms word on my dads laptop and he didn't have open office for some stupid reason. I put it on there just a moment ago to prevent this from ever happening again. For the record, my paper was analyzing religious context in Harold and Maude. Last night I went to the bar, dropped $80. Had the best burger ever, and a lesbian told me to never stop being sexy. My friend also nearly shattered a glass after trying to match my irish car bomb. Fun night. Sounds like you had a fun night! I don't get out enough. About that paper, even something like notepad would've worked, but I guess it's better now that you have an office program you won't have that problem.
