That's one of the worst ways as it'll still make a lot of bubbles this way. Better to just do either the pea or the rice spot directly on the CPU and putting the heatsink on top. Usually it spreads it evenly.
-
That socket is probably too new to have many heatsinks yet. I'd probably check on forums to see whether people tried the specific one you want.

What's with you and gaming mice? Depends on what they do with their computer. Although this does look like a gaming computer.

Got a very good deal on a 2013 Toyota Corolla. Hope Nissan gives me a similar deal tomorrow night or else it looks like I'll get the Corolla since the deal is quite good. They give me $1100 for my 2002 Echo (which apparently will be sent to recycling because it can't be resold), with regular warranty and 4 winter tires and a good insurance. 0% interest and $200/month for 6 years.

True, units of time for that is quite vague. Thing that might annoy you again is that I'm going to use the metric system. I work at about 10 Km from my appartment, and it's a 40L tank as far as I know. When the light flashes for the gas there is still enough to brake hard or park on an incline, although I still have to take care of how long I go while it flashes, but I usually fill it when it just starts.
-
Well I won't be going to gas stations for a while, a quarter of a tank of gas in my echo lasts more than a week and the tank is busted so I can't put more than 3/4 without having gas leaking. Guess I'll have to wait until it flashes everytime before putting gas.

Going to start looking for a car pretty soon. Since I'm changing provinces I'd have to pay something like $4000 or $5000 to make it perfect enough for the inspection the province needs us to pass. And just to say, it passed the N-B annual inspection without issues just last month, but it wouldn't anymore. Silly Toyotas, they last for an extremely long time, but everything breaks at the same time.. I prefer putting that kind of money on a down-payment for a new car rather than repairing my current car. I just have to find that money.. Some of the parts that need replacing are still the original parts that came with the car (such as the clutch and stuff, but with 12 years and 315k KM I guess it's kinda normal). Once you get used to it it's not painful at all. Also with Win 8 it's good to know the shortcut "Win key + X" which I find very helpful. Also I personally never even use the metro interface unless I want to use one of the apps (although I never downloaded new ones), or when I want to open programs very fast (you just have to type the name of the program in it appears in a list). Just use the desktop interface and you'll be fine.

Got back from my work term in france this last weekend, Saw that I have the diploma already, and looks like I might be moving to Quebec City (8hrs drive since I don't even live in the province of Quebec) for a job, next week. This was so fast and it looks like I have the job, so that's why I think I'm going to be moving there as soon as next week. Considering my experience with job search, I didn't think any company would call me before August, but I already have a company from a town in New Brunswick, a company from Quebec City and a company from Montreal that called for interviews.

Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 (OC) or AMD Radeon HD 7970 (GHz ed.)?
Sbrideau replied to Jadchor's topic in Tech and Computers
I'm usually going for Nvidia as the drivers are much more stable and won't crash on you, but AMD seems to be getting better at it, at least better than when I used AMD cars. -
Temperatures took a lot of time to go up, but seems like they go quite high compared to what they should be. In southern new brunswick apparently it was 37.1 celsius at 9 AM, pretty sure it was higher than 40 near noon and into the afternoon. Here in the part of France I'm in (work term is finished now, just at the hotel for a night at the airport then tomorrow I return to Canada), it was probably around 30 too.

I think that'st too many tools to have installed on a single computer. I've tried SupwerAntispyware, and it's the same thing as MBAM but not as good. I was also waiting for the highjackthis log, but seems like the problem might be resolved since OP never came back.

Who uses an Xbox to play Netflix? Just get him to enter his password into netflix on your computer and have the browser save it (although it's not safe to do). You then have Netflix without paying for Xbox Live. I almost never use the Xbox for Netflix, I plug the TV on my laptop and watch it that way, and even better, the image is better.

T'was only $30 dollars. Also, I was being serious. I am now addicted to the game and have 5 hours logged since I bought it 8 hours ago. Only $30.. I wish I was rich enough to add that word before $30. Everyone is dissing on my purchase. The game is actually quite enjoyable. I play on multiplayer with friends and it is bomb. What game? I'm not dissing the purchase at all, it's just the use of the world "only". Then again it's true that it's much less than what games usually cost.
