Is it me or these boards are having some trouble lately? Currently extremely slow for me but couldn't even load a few days this week.

The client doesn't use Java. My advice is to upgrade Java and the graphics drivers. It usually solves most problems. Also you might want to check the settings in the game to see if it's openGL or DirectX. On Windows it usually prefers DirectX but switching to OpenGL can fix some problems. I agree that the power supply is a bit low for your specs though. I personally have lower specs (core i3 first gen with gtx 550) but my 550W power supply serves me well. Glad it works on the client though. Devnull, if your computer has so many problems, it's not supposed to. The situations you named, I've had them all, and it never caused me any problems, and I've never seen anyone have these cause problems. Then again you're the one that's probably still at Firefox 2 while it's now on version 29 (although I'm reverting back to an old version as I was using Firefox from not liking the Chrome look, and Firefox looks just the same now).

Noise. And I'm already doing what I can to not make any, even to the extent of using headphones to watch tv. Apparently I'm the third one that she drove crazy like that and I'm her last chance, if she does the same to the next tennant in the appartment I'm in, she's going to be kicked out. In other words she's complaining about me because I'm going to bed later than 10 at night. I guess it's for the better though, it's an old building and everyone is crazy quiet. I like having some freedom and it's not something I could have here. It's an appartment I had found in a day when I moved to Quebec City, so just the first choice, which is a mistake I don't think I'll make again.

That's it. I'm moving out and finding another appartment. Tired of getting complaints against me and that tennant also came to my door shouting at me. At least the landlord is on my side and won't charge me if I move out before the end of the period I'm supposed to be here.

There are no need to worry about it and Rs, as it's not the same SSL that they use, and not even the same versions. Also this is an old issue that has already been fixed by a lot of vendors.

Agreed. There wasn't even a summer between Christmas 2013 and 2014. Kidding aside though there are places that aren't seeing any melting so far and are even getting another 15 to 30 cm of snow this weekend. Snow banks on the side of roads are electric wire high in some places in New Brunswick. Yesterday there was someone singing christmas songs at work.

Statistically speaking, happiness is correlated with income until around $75k/yr. Beyond $75k/yr, having more money won't make you much happier. Though that $75k/yr figure is based off a sample of people who are married with kids, so if you're single then it'd probably be closer to $30-40k/yr. I'm single and I make between the amounts you named there (30k to 40k), and it's not enough. Single and living alone, the expenses are high enough for me to struggle to have enough money for food. Of course that's counting my new car (from last year) that still costs less per month than what a used car would've cost me, and the money I have to put on my student loan every month as well ($300/month). With these amounts and being in a couple, just splitting the rent would make me happy as I'd have a little bit of money at the end of the month.

It's really weird about haircuts. I myself got my hair cut tonight as well, and so did about 10 people at work. Why such timing? Lol

It's funny how I had this much trouble getting a job as well, and even moved out of New Brunswick (a Canadian province) to find a job, and now that I have one, I get job offers. Last week alone I got 2 job offers, one job I didn't even apply for, and the other was my last employer that let me go 3 years ago that wants me back. (I've been working 8 months at my current position).

The Dream Theater show was really awesome, money well spent! Also, that moment when they make a joke about Canadian Spring and then say they went skiing today. Was one of the best days this week to ski too, they had fresh snow, also with the 5cm that fell today.

My brother has a waterproof cellphone and actually texts while in the shower. I personally wouldn't even risk it even if I had a waterproof phone.

The calculator is a fail and probably should've been tested with more items first. Although I haven't done all the quests needed for the miniquest, I will make it a goal to get to it and to do it. Sure divination slows it down but it still looks like a good miniquest.

I wouldn't be able to last on 25GB. I currently have a limit of 125GB and already used 102GB with another week to go before the reset. I don't even watch that much netflix anymore either. Probably going to pay for unlimited soon and remove HDTV from my bundle, I quite rarely watch tv these days.

Only one week left before I go and see Dream Theater here in Québec City. This is going to be so awesome!

Looks promising, but I was disappointed when I saw the video. There are so many games like this one already out, I think he's trying to compete on a market that already has a lot of games of this type.

I usually keep the temperature at 19 (66F) during the day, and 17(63F) during the night. Being a Canadian I'm quite comfortable with those temperatures, and sometimes even feels too warm. The temperature in my apartment that is.

I don't think the issue has to do with the game engine, I think it has more to do with directX itself.

I don't have this problem with the client. It's been happening for weeks on the french servers though along with lag spikes lasting as long as 5 minutes that are unplayable. Hope they get a fix soon for this. A quick fix is to put the game on OpenGL, but it'd be fun to have it back to DirectX soon.

Actually a lot of developper tools and such are given free of charge by MS. You never have this kind of deal with Apple though.
