  1. I agree with all of this, although I have only just started the campaign. Almost did a prestige this week though and enjoying the game so far. There are also classic playlists if you don't want the abilities and the jumping. I've been using that one perk that prevents you from showing on the map when double jumping and that kind of stuff, which is very useful in S&D and other objective modes of the kind.
  2. All the drivers are here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/ca/en/cabsdt1/product-support/product/latitude-d830/drivers You never want to go somewhere else than the manufacturer's website for drivers. Or you can use their update utility which is on the same page, under System Utilities, but from experience (at work it's all dells) it's faster to just download or use your laptop's service tag to get the exact drivers you need on that page and download them then install them. I was on the canadian webpage though, but the drivers should still be valid since it's the same model in both countries. They probably don't have new drivers, as they don't update them for very old laptops (and yes we still have some at work of those, but they're used as a last resort when there are no other laptops available).

Yeah, Intel is a bit more pricey than AMD, but nowadays they outperform AMD by quite a bit. I am personally starting to plan a full new build, but as it seems, I'll probably wait at least till next spring so that the current component's price get pushed down by the new parts that are coming out lately (Haswell-e, DDR4, all that stuff). In the meantime I've already started replacing outside parts, replaced my old Keyboard with a Corsair K70 (with Cherry MX Blue), and the mouse with a Logitech M500, as well as the router (because the old one was giving up) by a Linksys WRT1900AC (although they failed their open-source promise, but still is a beast of a router).
  4. Here in Canada it depends what store you go to, although those that have people there to bag your food for you are more expensive than stores where you bag your own food. You do have to either pay for bags or bring your own though.

I've personnally never seen the entire system paralyzed over an inch of snow...You mean they don't close all the public schools, for example? Maybe they do a better job in Canada than in our country.Need a good snowstorm or promise of 10+ cm to close schools here. Here it takes 30+ cm of snow to close schools, and in New Brunswick it's 35+ cm and they don't even close college and universities at those snowfalls. Thinking about it, I should probably get my winter tires put on before the rush which usually start at the end of October, but I'm expecting it to be sooner this year seeing as we had some rain/snow mix today although mostly rain. In Canada they don't do much of a better job, people actually know how to drive in winter conditions and that makes all the difference, although the first snows there are always quite a lot of accidents. It snowed a foot (~31cm) overnight last winter for me in here (Minnesota) and they didn't cancel college classes. In my six years there, I got one full snowday. In my last college year I had 2 snowdays although they were caused by the same snowstorm that dropped 68cm of snow in a span of 2 days.

Both the cars I had, had the power in the front wheels. That said I have never owned a 4WD car and never had any trouble driving in the long Canadian winters. Especially with the fact that NB is so broke that last winter they didn't clear the ice on roads unless there was freezing rain coming down, which means a good layer of snow/ice on most streets and highways for weeks before it melted under the sun. Yes they cleared snow but only after storms and only passed once on roads and streets leaving a layer of snow still on the road behind them.

What iPhone did you have? I'm switching from my android over to an iPhone for the first time because of battery issues, but I don't wanna get an iPhone that can't handle iOS 8 because I assume it'll come installed with it. Not all Android phones are like that. My 2 year old LG Optimus G's battery lasts twice as long as my job's 6 month old Iphone 5s. Yes I have 2 cells right now but am cutting my personal one as soon as it's less expensive than keeping it.
  10. Weird, I have a ton of EVGA products and have never had a problem :o Same with friends What seems to be the problem? Yeah I'd like to know as well, I've never had any issues with EVGA products and same with my friends, we pretty much even choose that brand because of the reliability. Will probably post my rig sometime this week.

I can't believe that it's been 1 year I lived in Quebec city and that I never went out. Tonight I went clubbing and it's so much better than in New Brunswick, and not just by a little. Probably going to do it every friday night if I can afford it now.

Lol I don't but this is the best keyboard I've ever used as of yet. My keyboard was a Logitech Mk710 but it's one of the worst keyboard I've ever used a well lol. Went from the worst with keys that would get stuck and the keyboard that would lag to a high performance mechanical keyboard. Best move I made in a long time. Now if only I had the money to build a replacement for that 6 year old computer I built for $600 back then... Lol but that's going to come later I guess as I'm probably getting a pretty big salary increase in january.

Yeah they're still a thing, and they give the best customer service and internet connection quality I've ever seen. Other ISPs fail at giving costumer service.

That used to happen when modems were broken at my parent's place, or when someone was downloading torrents. Could be either of those. Here's mine, pretty much what I pay for:
  17. I'd stay away from Razer, friends and I had a lot of razer products and they don't last. My current headset which is a razer is already starting to wear out after 6 months of owning it, while my Logitech headset lasted 4 years before breaking. My friend replaced his razer keyboard on warranty 4 times before going to another brand. For that price you sould get a Logitech Mouse, I've used thier products for a long time, and my current wireless mouse is 3 years old and I just replaced the first set of batteries. Still works like new. Nexxtech is known to be a cheap brand that either doesn't work or doesn't last.

Talk about spoiled dogs and cats. All of the dogs in my family had dry food that you buy in big bags at the grocery store. I personally don't have a dog right now or any other animal, but I know I would still buy dry food if I had a dog.

Back on the rent topic, I pay $535 rent, $140 for tv/internet (but am cutting the cord on tv so will cost $80 for internet), $52 for phone (also getting rid of but will cost $400 to close the 3 year contract with Telus) and $10 for insurance. That doesn't count $250 for car and $50 for car insurance and the $400 for student loan and $200 for food. No wonder I don't have money at the end of the month.

Wow that's so inexpensive compared to here...
  21. The difference between the one you linked in the first post and the Asus I posted in the first link is the graphics card. It won't be as strong as the one you chose, but for small games like RS and Facebook games, it's more than enough.
  22. The specs of the laptop you linked to are way more than what you need for what you state you need it for. Unless you render videos for your youtube channel, and not just keep them on the hdd, you don't need the power of the i7, an i5 is more than enough. Here are a few other ideas that might interest you: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231312 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152568 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834317601 Only 500GB HDD and 15.6 screen but still http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=94291&vpn=K550LA-DS51-CA&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1111
  23. Wow that is a store I would never buy a computer at, if they're so stubborn. And if you have the proof of purchase still, you can use that an claim warranty, unless it's written on it that it was the demo laptop and not a brand new one.
