    Today...

Got Bell Fibe installed today, and 3 hours after I unplugged everything and plugged back the current ISP's stuff. Good thing I hadn't canceled yet with my current ISP. Bell service is so bad, and they don't know their own stuff. Also when I called technical support the tech didn't even know what I was talking about and didn't know his own ui. Going to try not having to pay for a month, for the 3 hours I used their service.
  2. If that's the case with playback, looks like you have at least a missing driver. I haven't seen a computer yet that didn't switch automatically unless set for it not to do it. For your keyboard I'd check if there's a program on the keyboard's support page that you don't have on your machine yet. Usually comes with drivers.
  3. Why? There's like 300 people in league play at any given time on BO2. It's a useless gamemode so why keep it?

I don't think the place has anything to do with it. For instance, Montreal Airport had awesome wifi and expensive prices, but the airport in Paris (France) had almost no wifi and you had to pay for it, and prices were higher than Montreal.

Welcome back! Looks like you had a bit of fun.
  6. I noticed a lot of changes, people don't seem to be accepting my requests as they used to, and not as many people are friend requesting me. I'm not getting unfriended though. I'm still pretty open and accept all the friend requests that don't look like scams. I have been experiencing the same thing as you. Even when adding old classmates, one of them asked me who I was before adding me. Seems like she didn't remember me being her classmate.. Oh well lol.

What's wrong with seeing weed in a game? We see some on tv all the time.

Ok, have it your way. It's like I said, everyone has their experience with their computers. Right now out of you 3, there's one that had a little bit of trouble. Then again maybe they make better quality computers for consumers than companies. I currently work with Precision workstations, Lattitude, Vostro, Optiplex.

As far as laptops go I'd pick a Mac over the current consumer competition, but would not run OSX on it. It and Windows are too restrictive. Why pick a mac for exactly the same hardware you'd get for half the price with the competition if you're going to use Linux on it? As for my anecdotal evidence, I don't care what you say, everyone has their own experience. I just know that I haven't seen a lot of Dells that didn't fail after a short time after buying them. Hell, even very recently I had a friend that was asking me to repair his 1 month old Alienware because they wouldn't repair it or put it on warranty, so I guess even their service (that used to be extremely good) went down.

The problem with macs is that you pay triple the price for half the specs. I found Asus (appart from Republic of Gamers) is pretty unbeatable. My 7 year old Asus laptop still runs like new, except the battery. Same with all the regular laptop's I've seen. I could say the same for Lenovo although I have never owned one. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Republic of gamers, seeing as my 2 year old ROG had some trouble already (but easy fixes).

HPs overheat like no other though. Always heard good things about Dell's stability. HPs don't overheat anymore. Better yet, go for pro laptops instead of regular/gaming laptops. Hell my coworker's HP laptop is better than my Republic of Gamers laptop (although he did pay $2300 for it compared to the $1200 I paid for mine). Dell being stable, that makes me laugh, with the experience I had with friends that had Dell and Alienware laptops for years, and now that I work, all Dells, and their hardware fails pretty often.
  12. Black Ops 2 was the first one that I didn't get on release night since MW2 lol. Won't get Ghosts on release night either.
  13. In Canada that's only one game as they are almost $70 each here. You guys get so ridiculously screwed, I work for a company that has branches in the USA and Canada selling products, unless one of our vendors has a supply house in Canada where our Canadian branches can purchase it, we purchase it here in the states, ship it over. And due to the costs to get it across the border, we take the USA Price and put it on a multiplier by x1.35 to make the Canadian price. Lol, that x1.35 really does fit the price difference.
  14. I think Ubuntu is too unstable and not enough hardware friendly for new users. Mint or Mageia are more suited for them.
  15. Got too excited with the internet on my phone lol. Anyway it resets tonight.

Mine is 4Kg too and it wasn't that bad, did my college years with it. To hedgehog, could have to do with the bigger battery, I don't know but it's the heaviest part of my laptop, it's larger than a regular laptop battery.
  18. Then you didn't try Win 8 enough. Also if you don't have a touch screen, there's no use trying to familiarize yourself with the tiles as they are useless anyway, I have Win 8 on my laptop and never use that interface except to seach for a program or something (just hit the win key and start typing the program). Win + X is similar to the old start menu. As for my favorite distro, right now it is Mint, but it always changes as time goes on.
  19. Imo $100 has always been a lot of money. People that think $100 isn't a lot are rich people. I still will buy the Xbox One but only next summer as there's always problems when new consoles come out, just gives them time to fix the issues.
  20. Apparently they're running trials of the dedicated servers for Ghost using the BO2 public matches. That's probably why I had insane lag in 3 of the 4 games I played and no host migration.
  21. I'm surprised that your ISP doesn't offer something to measure it. Both my ISP and my cell company provide this kind of service. That's how I know I used 60/125GB this month, and 98/100MB on my cell.
  22. Given the fact that trickshotters ruin S&D, I welcome the change they are making to ruin quickscoping. Don't get me wrong, I like quickscoping from time to time, but I mostly do it in private matches. Also I have preordered the game now.
  23. Still haven't preordered it but probably will this weekend. For the 360 that is, I'm not getting the Xbox One before next summer.

    Today...

Something weird happened today. Received a call on my cellphone that only had "10" as the caller ID. No idea what that means and is suspicious so I did not answer. They didn't leave a message.
  25. +1. Also it's always better to get a heatsink since it really cools the processor down much more than the one that comes with the processor (usually).
