It could be worse, I am unfamiliar with how hard police crack down on speeding outside of the USA Its hit or miss here in the USA. It depends on how good of a mood the police officer is in. The one who pulled me over had someone pee in his cheerios that morning I think. I was hardly going 70mph :? I think it's the same here. He probably just gave me a warning because he was either in a good mood or didn't want to do paperwork.
  2. You're just jealous Leik kills the [bleep] out of everything in CoD No, I just noticed that there are multiple shots where he was at a disadvantage and the enemy didn't shoot him. I never seem to get in games with enemies like that. In the games I get, try even running through the middle of the map like he does a lot of times, and you get shot almost instantly.

So I guess I'm the only one that got lucky by just getting a warning after being caught doing 143Km/h in a 110Km/h zone? (For you americans that's 89 in a 68).
  4. Although I personally like Intel better, I've used AMD and I think they're pretty good too. I've used an AMD processor and that computer lasted longer than most my Intel computers. Just goes to show that they're the same in my opinion. (not performance wise but durability)
  5. I don't know, I've always been a fan of the build quality of Apple products, but I'm not very happy with my recent purchase: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpSf8qiRa30 That said, I'm happy with it in every other way. But if you have a limited budget, I'd put what you have towards a non-Apple machine, especially if that's what you're already used to. That's not a screen glitch, the problem's with the OS. You might want to check if you have updates that would fix that. Reinstalled the OS twice now using two different methods. 99% sure it's not the OS. If you reinstalled twice, means it's probably not a driver problem. Not sure what the problem is though since it doesn't look like a hardware issue either. It is possible that the graphics card has something to do with it though. I'd put your laptop on warranty if it's still valid.
  6. That was a great watch and I was kind of analysing it for myself, you're pretty good, with the way you were playing, but both the other team and your team were pretty bad, that's what made you get such a good score :P.

  8. I think you have a pretty good price for that computer. Also my laptop is nowhere near the power of your computer and can run skyrim at ultra and rs at the same time, although I wonder why you would want that as you can easily forget Rs even if you're afking a skill and get logged out after the 5 min autologout.
  9. You should call them to tell them to update their proxy server. Anyway how do you guys zoom out. People are so huge in html5 rs.... Setting the size in the browser only changes the size of the menus and such (and minimap etc).
  10. Why would I need to list the specs when I said they had the same specs? I think you're just an Apple fanboy running out of arguments.
  11. Still about 5 fps on my computer. How do you guys zoom out like that? When I do the ctrl+ mouse wheel thing it only changes the size of the menus.
  12. What's the problem? The problem is that you pay 2 and 3 times the price for the same thing as a computer that already has Windows on it. And it's not just apple products that last long, my old Asus laptop is now 6 years old and still runs like new. In fact, most brands last as long as a macbook because that's the amount of time they're designed to last, which is about 5 years nowadays since they know people will probably have replaced it by that time. Do you have a source for that claim? Where could I get a Windows laptop for 2 to 3 times cheaper that: Has the same specs as a MacBook Pro. Has the same, sturdy build quality (anodized aluminum, trackpad made from glass, NO bezel around the screen that sticks out, etc.) I get to talk to a person that speaks fluent English perfectly well, whenever I need support. -- @@Miss Lioness There's a reason Macs are typically the choice for university students. Go to your nearest Apple Store, try one out. Look up some of the features of the operating system. It allows you to be very organized. I have however, heard good things about Lenovo, too. As a student with student needs, you can't really go wrong with a Lenovo laptop. Wouldn't almost any choice/model do? I don't have to go far. My $1300 Asus ROG laptop has the same specs as my friend's $3000 Macbook Pro. Also, even if it's very small, I've never seen a macbook without a screen bezel. My Asus might not be completely in Aluminum, but it is hard, thick plastic with good quality. Also, I spoke with someone from Ontario which was fluent in english when I was doing some warranty stuff. We both upgraded our laptops later though, both added a SSD, and my Windows loads in about 10 seconds before being ready to be used, which is shorter than my friend's macbook pro. And where did I buy it? NCIX.com. Also the reason why OSX seems to work better than Windows is that all laptops of the same model, with Apple, have the same hardware, which means the same drivers, which isn't true when it comes to Windows because they have to support thousands if not hundred of thousands of different hardware specifications. When it works good, like on all the computers I've had, it never crashes.

  14. Lol at installing Windows on a Macbook. Doesn't work better than a regular laptop either lol.
  15. Anyone else noticed a memory leak? Started playing with 3GB of RAM being used on my computer, after about 30 minutes I was up to 7GB of RAM being used, went back down to 3GB when I closed the chrome window that had Rs on.
  16. Double Gun XP? Nice. Since most of the guns I used are already diamond/gold, I'll have to level up tonight as I don't have many guns unlocked since prestiging last time I played.
  17. Not only that but I think it's the best cod since cod4. It's also the first cod that I don't have lag in, since cod4. Except for the rare times that I play TDM, I don't see many campers either.

With the current console gen, hardware IS a limiting factor. They're probably fitting 5L in your 1L bucket with the current games on consoles. Although with the fact that they do that kind of optimizing on the games means that there is a lot of space for performance improvements on computer games.

Yeah we had some new snow here too, although it has melted. Takes a lot of time for the old snow to melt too. It's normal to still have snow at this time of the year here, but I'm tired of it too lol. And last year was pretty exceptionnal for us as we could be in shorts and a t-shirt too at this time of the year.
  20. They give the requirement to scare people from applying for the job. They do that so that they get less applications. As far as I know. I got a job in which I had no experience, when they were asking for 5 years experience.

I see, but still, I thought this kind of DRM was already effective on the 360.
  22. Sbrideau replied to Lep's topic in Off-Topic
But aren't consoles already always online? They connect as soon as we start them and the xbox360's case it continues downloading after you shut it down, if you started a download (which means it just goes into low power ot do it until complete shutdown).

Went to an all nighter lan party, and had a lot of fun there. I usually don't win much in these kind of events, but I won over $200 worth of stuff (including a 500GB USB3 external hard drive).
  24. Have you installed the virutalbox Additions? Devices > Install Guest Additions VirtualBox isn't made to run games so I don't think you'll be able to run it without issues.
  25. Sbrideau replied to Lep's topic in Off-Topic
Lol, Lan parties, I have one tonight and if it's like the last we'll probably be around 30 or 40. As for Powerfrog, Eww, Pentium. Asrock makes good motherboards, yes, but they're not high quality. The PSU is suitable, yes, but not part of the good PSU brands, they're better at making Cases. I would rather go with an AMD processor and a good motherboard (that will cost less than the stuff that runs Intel). The hard drive is good, but too small for most people. The RAM is good as well. I haven't had any experience with Powercolor but as far as I know the graphics card is also a good quality.
