Why XP? It's such an old and primitive OS.

Doesn't mean every card is bad, just that I've seen too many of them.

In my case, I know that where I live TomTom has a big reputationfor being good, but apparently the Garmins surpassed them. I own a Garmin nuvi and it's awesome. Even after owning it for 2 years I still found something that I didn't know was there, this week, which is the speed stats and stuff, I thought it only showed the speed we were currently going. I do have to say that the speed it shows is pretty accurate when I roll though.

I've seen so many fried XFX graphics cards that I don't trust that brand as a whole.

Playing a game wirelessly is never a good idea. Did you try using a wire and seeing if the issue still persisted? Rs doesn't use much bandwith and usually wireless is enough but depending on the strenght of the connection this can occur.

I have a lot of Logitech stuff and you can't go wrong with them. I have a Laser mouse, although it's at home and I can't give you the model, and can use it on any surface.

Not sure about what you say for HP. I remember buying an hp screen 6 year ago that only lasted 2.5 years, but the HP I replaced it with (wasn't my choice as it was a gift) still works like new after the 3.5 years I've used it. I wouldn't be stuck though if it died since I have it in dual screen setup with a 2 year old Acer screen.

Problem might be McAfee, it's one of the worst antiviruses and it's heavy as well. You should probably switch to something that won't slow down your computer like MSE, Avira or Avast.

Looks like you have a nice ping if you get hitmarkers at least with every single bullet. The reason I don't play with snipers (although I was very good in mw2 for quickscopes) is in black ops my bullets just go through the guy I'm shooting, and when it doesn't it's just a hitmarker that I get. Only the treyarch games have inconsistent hitmarker issues, and that is why black ops is my last treyarch game, even if I said the same thing in the WaW days.

^ I lol'd. I do think it's nice to see where the guys here in OT are, and now that we got a system that will prevent the kind of trolling we had we can have fun with it.

It really depends which games you will be playing with the laptop. The intel GMA HD will have trouble with even some light games.

I wouldn't go for any other brand than these named in the comment I quoted. My preference in there is the Corsair one.

Defenitely the Asus one. Primarly because of the lower price, but also for their extreme quality. My almost 4 year old Asus laptop still works like new, does not have any problems either and the battery still lasts a few hours (compared to about 20 minutes on my friend's Acer of the same age). The only problem with it is the intel gma. If you want to play a game though you'll have to go with the MSI one as it has dedicated graphics. Even small games will run much better on it than the Asus you listed there.

While on the twilight subject: Where I live there was quite a lot of talks about it, about the movie, so I decided to watch the first one. Never finished it as it was excessively boring and I don't understand how it can be so popular.

Usually you should be able to get to the recovery by using F12 or another button. You will then have the option to format before installing, which you have to choose instead of the option that keeps the files.

I do not own the Deathadder but I do have a few friends that made very good comments about them. I have never seen anyone using the R.A.T.5.

I don't know about other brands, but Asus is even easier than the Mac notebooks as you just have to unscrew the 2 screws on the hard drive compartment. Don't even have to unscrew anything on the previous unibody Macs. :P Just made an observation, not trying to start anything though. I know, we won't start anything. I was just mentionning it because on the guide you posted it says to remove 10 screws.
