I'm sick of all of the people who keep posting they wouldn't believe in God because their life isn't perfect.

Thanks. :oops: A few people on this board would disagree with you on that last statement lol. I'll be honest enough to admit that I'm opinionated too. But I try to back myself up. (I think) You are athiest/agnostic, if I remember correctly? Or is that not right? Well most of the posts by people opposing that there is a God, I thought that most of those people were complete morons. You are one of the only one of those people who's posts I have respected. You have been making some very good posts.. That is a good point about using the word Christian in this topic, but I think most people who believe in a God are Christians.. There aren't a WHOLE lot of other religions that believe in another god that really post here. Well that I know of anyways. I might be completely wrong, and probably am..

Thats the thing though, like jackalope said.. The 2 types of people you pointed out. The ones that don't believe in 'god' and you are doing good things. They WON'T get into heaven, because you don't get into heaven just from doing good things. You also have to believe in God. So, it DOES matter if God exists or not.. If God didn't exist would there be a heaven? It is important we all get along, but it isn't the most important thing. When you believe in God, you will WANT to do good things. While I am not sure if I believe this or not, some people say someone who isn't a Christian can't do something for the good of someone else without having some type of selfish reason for doing it. This is why a lot of people think Christians are 'hypocrites' That is kind of like the Christian stereotype. It is because some churches have bad theology, and they misinterpret(I blew the spelling on that) the Bible, and they preach that to get to heaven you only need to do good deeds.. So are you blaming your excess wait during your teenage years on God? Just because your life isn't perfect doesn't mean he doesn't exist. We don't fend for ourselves.. None of us DESERVE God's help, but he gives it to us anyways. You expect God to help all of us even though people hate his guts, and blame their bad lives on God? All Christians are "Bible thumpers"? Or just the ones that make posts here? What even is a "Bible thumper"? So basically you think God doesn't care about us because our lives are perfect? I don't know if you took the time to read previous posts, but would you get joy out of watching abunch of robots worship you? No, you wouldn't because they are programmed to do so. We would be like robots if God controlled every single little thing that happened. That is basically the only reason you guys seem to be able to come up with about why God doesn't exist. I couldn't believe how horrible this post was. Not only was it poorly written, but it made almost no sense. We don't make up God to explain for things like lightning.. That is mostly just mythical stories like the gods you mentioned, Zeuss and Thor.. About the last thing you said.. You would rather live believing that there is no God, so that you can look forward to getting eaten by bugs when you die and thats it? I don't know about you, but I would rather believe in God, and look forward to a perfect life in Heaven after I die.

Do you mean in elementary school(K-5th grade)? Or is that the same thing? By the way, they don't always teach you the exact right way to do things when you are in elementary shcool :wink: That was a horrible post.. The only reason you can seem to come up with about "bad grammar" in the Bible, is an excessive use of ands. It isn't even bad grammar first of all, and second of all it isn't even that much.. Only in a couple verses.. Like someone else said, the translations can't be exactly the same as the original Bible was written. Plus, who cares even if it was bad grammar? I know I should just be dropping this subject, but that post kinda ticked me off, how stupid it was..

Northern.. so basically You want earth to be heaven? That is absolutely ridiculus. If you want a perfect life, the only way you can go about doing that is by being saved, and going up to heaven. We can't explain every single question that relates to God, because are humans and we can't think on the level we are trying to. You can't figure out how Satan began to sin if he was in heaven. You can't even fathom how God here since the beginning of time, just because we are humans. Northern that wasn't a very well thought out post in my opinion.. Im sure God knew that it would happen, but DUE TO FREE WILL, he allowed it to. Like I said.. We, as humans, cannot figure that out.

Good post Gehjl.. Even if he is okay, I will stay pray for him that it will never happen again, and if it does that is okay, because God may have some other purpose for it happening. For example, September 11th.. Though a lot of people were angry at God, a lot of people started praying and worshipping him. I think one part of the reason that the terrorist attacks happened, was so that people would come closer to God, and a lot of them did. That was kind of off topic lol, sorry. I will pray.

Torlen.. I know you said 'half of the people' but that is kind of like a stereo-type just because a couple people try to know what they are talking about. A lot of Christians might not have matured enough. A younger kid can't read the Bible and get a lot out of it, so you can't blame them for trying. Also, there are the "Christians" who go to church and their outward appearance says I am a Christian, but in their heart, they really haven't honestly accepted God. Some people do this just to have the image of being a Christian, and some people's parents MAKE them go to church even if they don't want to. I know there are a lot of people at my high school that go to this "Young Life" thing, where there is a group of Christians that have basically a youth group, and they go on retreats and stuff like that.. But, I know that a lot of the people that go to this drink, have parties, and at school act NOTHING like Christians. You don't always know that the person you are talking to is really a Christian. Like I said before, a lot of people(along with myself) aren't mature (whether it be age, or maturity in their beliefs) enough to understand a lot of things that are in the Bible. Don't make fun of them for trying. I like the top of your sigs =p

Okay, where to being... Eric, I think I understood where you were coming from, though a lot of your post confused me, but thats my fault I think.. Im not thinking clearly or something.. Going back to your original question, "God let us sin to begin with instead of having made us unable to sin?" Or something like that.. At first, there was no sin. Everything was perfect. Until Satan came along, and introduced temptation to sin, and Adam and Eve couldn't resist temptation, which basically caused there to be sin in everyone. Im not sure if this answers your question at all, but oh well.. I would like to make a few comments.. If you don't believe in Christianity because it can't be proven by science, then answer this question for me. Think of someone you love. Can you prove that you love that person? Same thing with God. You can't scientifically prove it. I think that it is evident that God is real, because just think about this. A non-Christian has a wedding. There is still mention about what the wife's duty is as stated by God, in the ceremony. Why do even non-Christians have readings from the Bible like that if they don't believe in God? The Bible is the word of God. Also, say a non-Christian's close friend or relative got hurt. Why does he/she tell other to keep them in their prayers, when they don't pray? Sometimes even non-Christians pray to a higher being even.. Im not saying all non-Christians do this. But since some do, doesn't that show you that there at least has to be some sort of higher being? And if there is a higher being, it would be God because he shows himself even in non-Christians. Gehjl, I like that quote in your sig. And to DaN, grow up you immature moron. As a Christian, I believe that God is going to come down, and take all of the believers up to heaven, then give the rest of the people a chance, and take the remainding believers and create a "new Earth". A guy who rapes and murders 200 people can get into heaven as long as he accepts christ as his savior, then he's washed of his sins. I can live my life doing nothing but helping other people never doing one thing wrong, but if I dont accept christ as my lord and savior I can't get into heaven. Heaven sounds like a racist country club to me I know this is kind of late to reply to this.. Anyways So if this murder guy GENUINELY started believing in God, you expect God to turn him down? This is a big difference in a lot of denominations.. Some people believe you get to heaven just by doing good things, and not by faith. If you believe in God, you will have the desire to do good deeds. Why would God accept you into heaven if you didn't believe in him? That makes no sense. Like jackalope has been saying the whole time.. Due to the amount of corruption and sin in the world, and the original sin commited by Adam and Eve, there is pain and suffering in the world. Your question is one of the main reason some people don't buy into Christianity.. "Life is unfair" Is it fair that an innocent victim gets shot in a gang fight? Ah, where was I going with this lol? Why should jagex update for you guys, when you aren't directly giving them any benefits, other than making them waste more money ono buying servers? Yes, I know that getting people to become members (usually) requires them to become f2p first so they can see if they like it.. But if you aren't paying for the game, you don't deserve updates. A suggestion is that Jagex should sell gamecards or something like that, where you can buy them at a store, and it gives you a c.d key type thing that you type in. You could buy a 1month one for 5 bucks 3 month one 15 6 month 30, etc. This way kids who's parent's don't want to deal with putting in their credit card info on ther internet can still be p2p
