I don't think the only actions people make are for 'selfish' reasons, but I guess that could be another debate completely. Just a little example, what about people that donate money anonymously? They know they aren't going to get any credit for it, and it will help others.

I thought about that while I was posting, but I just posted it anyways. I guess if you have fun wasting time to try to figure out the next update then whatever, but I personally think you should just play the game and not over-analyze everything Jagex puts up on their website. I guess the main reason it gets on my nerves is because in English I feel like we overanalyze a lot of things, and I hate it :oops: . Its almost the same thing here. I apologize. But cut the histrionics out. No need to freak out. As for "that pedestal that I've put myself on," I don't know what you're talking about. Just because I say "Rs2 products" doesn't mean I'm putting myself above these people. For the most part, they know much more about Rs2 than I do. I simply called people that complain about the lack of updates that because people who played RS before Rs2 came out, there were no updates anywhere close to every week or every other week. Like you said about this just being a "GAME," this is just a FORUM. Once again, chill out. Maybe you're the one that needs to do some growing up? A side note, I really like you writing style :) .

Yeah my dad showed me that a few months ago, and I used it one time. None of my friends felt like dealing with it so I had no one to talk to. Plus I don't have a microphone :x . Really neat though.

Agreed. Kind of ironic isn't it? They do these "good deeds" for other people, but only out of selfish motivations. Yes they are still doing "good deeds," so that's cool and all but if they are doing it so they can "get something good back in return," then it's almost like they aren't truly doing a "good" deed in the first place. When I thought of it in my head, it sounded a lot better :? .

Maybe I should have specified *protection prayers* but I figured that people would realize that since this topic is about protection prayers. The reason I said that is because the more prayer levels you get, the weaker you are at your combat level. However, as a few people have said prayers like ultimate strength do make your stronger, but only at a certain strength level. As for someone saying both people praying 1v1 is okay, would you rather fight 1on1 with no one praying and finish the fight in a couple minutes, or spend 5 minutes having both people pray, only to have one of the two players run (if you are going to use protection prayers 1v1, you are more than likely a coward, so you are going to run if you have a good chance of dying). As for the people that replied to me, sorry if I missed you. I had thoughts in my head, but it's too hard to quote like 5 different posts and make an intelligent response to each one.

Read the post. It is not "whining", it is speculation. Speculation on what may be coming... And before you say, "I dont see much speculation in there", it is more of a starter... Speculating is so stupid. Why not just be patient and wait for the update to come out? You people waste so much time trying to guess what the new update is going to be, and you make speculations on things that Jagex didn't even intend to foreshadow what an upcoming update is going to be. RS2 products are too impatient when it comes to updates, as zot said.

First of all, what a stupid suggestion I can. You say the bind spells and teleblock compensate for the removal of the 3-round combat system correct? If not you, then someone said that. In order to bind and teleblock, you need a very high magic level, quite a bit of money to waste on runes, and a ton of inventory spaces to hold several different kinds of runes. So in order to kill someone who will not fight you to the death, you either have to get an extremely lucky spec and the person has to be dumb enough not to eat, or the necessary things for casting binds and such. On RSC, you could go out with weapon, ammy, armor, and an inventory full of food, and still kill someone, as long as you had skill. You don't need skill to pk on RS2. "dood you need skill to no when to drink and eat and change weapons." That's easy. That's not skill, thats just going out and pking in the wilderness a few times or watch a few videos and you got it. On RSC it took a long time to learn now to catch, AND you had to eat/turn prays off WHILE you try to catch someone. Someone said something about the prayers on RS2. I agree they are okay, but they are lame in the wilderness. Even fighting NPC's, the way you could do it on RSC was better you. You just needed a little bit of skill, and no lag in order to kill a high level monster only using ~3 prayer points. You could put on paralyze monster as you got hit, and take it off when hitting. With a bit more skill, you could do this with multiple prayers. RS2 you just sit there and watch you hit a monster while he hits 0's on you while conserving no prayer. Overall, fighting RSC > RS2. Skils, RS2 > RSC by far.

When you say people that call you a "pray noob" are too impatient to train the "difficult" prayer skill, I am pretty sure you are mistaken. Several people that say that are pkers, who have mains to fund their pures. On their mains, they have prayer, but they choose not to WASTE combat levels on their pures. The reason people make pures is to be strong at a low combat. Getting prayer boosts the combat level up, and doesn't really make you much stronger. As for mains that call you a prayer noob, more than likely they have prayer too. Most of the time that someone calls you a prayer noob, they won't have less pray than you, unless they are pure. Prayer does not make you a stronger opponent. It makes you a waste of time to fight. It actually makes you weaker, just more defensive. It was a good first post =). We can always use members that make good posts like this :D .

Exactly Praying one vers. one in a fair fight is pretty sad if you ask me. Basically you suck too much to fight without protection prayers, so you freak out and flick the prayer on like a sissy. The only time it's okay in my opinion to pray is fighting NPC's, when you are being teamed and you have an unfair advantage, or you get "pile jumped". You might resort to the "well Jagex put it in for a reason." While this is true, that doesn't mean praying 1v1 doesn't make you a pansy, and lame. On rsc, the only protection prayer you could use in PvP was protect from missiles(range). The reason they changed it is because of you whiney babies that complain about the wilderness being too dangerous. Well why do you think that some of the best xp, and items can be found in the wilderness? Because it is SUPPOSED to be dangerous. That's just my opinion

Yeah, a life in prison is much worse. I agree. I don't think the death penalty is quite the same thing as murdering someone lol :wink: As for those against it because the victim was willing, let me ask you a question. Would you want a psychotic freak like that walking the streets near where you live?

Look, I'm not trying to flame. I'm just defending Chewy. As for playing 4 months, that is when he REstarted Runescape. I never said you didn't know what you were doing, as I know that you obviously do if you got to the point that you are at now. I just said Chewy might know a bit more than you do, as he started playing way before you. If he didn't have "some genius scheme," he wouldn't have made a few hundred mill in a few months starting from a few hundred k, would he? I'm not saying he's like a super genius or anything, I'm just saying he obviously has to be pretty smart in order to be so wealthy.

Who says he ONLY merchants party hats, if he merchants them at all :) . Chewy's been merchanting for quite longer than you have played RS, I think, so he knows what he's doing. I think the way he gets so much is he does multiple things at a time, but I won't say what exactly I think he does. That's up to him.

Well I'm not on whole lot, but whenever I am on he is rarely on, so I don't think he plays that much. I can vouch for him; everything he says is true. He even made a thread with his starting bank pic when he had 150k or so, but I can't find it. Me_Poulin - :lol:

To the above poster: Only good merchants make a nice amount of money Money = (most)Skills I can't comprehend how people like you "value skills over money/items any day." Skills don't take any skills do raise, just a ton of time. Getting money requires luck, time, and skill. Skills are a time sink. Money also = fun. Skills are not fun. Money can get you things like equipment for castle wars, pking, dueling, monster slaying, gifts to give for friends, etc. As for the later part of your post, you say money is easy to obtain, which is true, but if you want to get A LOT of money it's not that easy. A few hundred k an hour is pretty easy, but you don't need a brain to make that much. And you say high skills are not easy to obtain? Maybe you meant they take a long time to obtain, rather than they are easy to maintain. Skills you do the same thing over and over and over again for days on end just for one level(depending on how high your level is). Sorry about the one paragraph :oops: Not like anyone is going to read this anyways.

Nice post Trapical =). It gets on my nerves that Playstation is ahead of Nintendo. In my opinion, Nintendo is the best company due to their innovation. I guess people just don't value innovation very much, because otherwise Nintendo would be number one. All Microsoft and Sony are really doing is improving their existing system, by improving the graphics and random things "techies" like. I had some other things to say, but now that I am here typing, I forgot :oops: .

I don't know if you did this on purpose, but it kind of sounds like you are bragging about having a lot of mods on your list, but whatever. You know what is more sad than autoers? People that brag about reporting them. If I was an autoer and I saw that you wasted your time reporting people like me, I would be happy. So really, you are partially satisfying the autoers, because it is a secondary goal of (some) of theirs to get people like you frustrated. Personally I like autoers not only because they keep the prices down, but because they make you people angry. So keep wasting your time reporting people. It's your time and the mods' time that you are wasting, not the autoers.

People value innovation. As for Xbox "copying" Sony, you're right, but Microsoft is just as unoriginal as Sony, if not more.

How could you guys like any kind of bands named like "Carcass" or "Blood Bath" or "Cannibal Corpse?" I know everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but seriously =|. You have to have something messed up in the head if you listen to that disgusting "music" if you ask me. Can someone please explain to me how that can be pleasing to the ears? I'm trying to be open to other styles of music I just can't comprehend how you could like bands like these.

This is kind of one of those things you just have to find out on your own instead of asking strangers who don't know the parents, I think. Every parent is different and there is no way anyone could predict what his parents are going to ask, unless someone knew the parents/kid. Like a few other people have said, just be honest with whatever they ask you. If you aren't up to their standards or whatever, who cares? They might learn to like you, and if not maybe your relationship just isn't meant to be anything special. It's not the end of the world :wink: .

I believe that Snow White was looked after by 7 dwarves and it offends me when people call that a fairy tale too :( I find it incredibly offensive that you compare Snow White and the 7 Dwarves to the Bible, which chances are you have probably never read and never will, but will continually disrespect people who believe in it. I'm pretty sure Anesthesia wasn't comparing Snow White to the Bible, unless you meant the person that pianofreak was refering to.
