Trap, you rarely post around here anymore, but when you do make a thread, it really does count. Thanks for posting this! Google Earth..whoa. Looking at the screenshots and all the info on it, dam. What a cool program to have! I'm dling pro right now, 7 day trial tho. Looks awesome, ill edit this post when I've gotten a chance to look around.
  2. Lmao, I think we all have. I swear i've killed a few cheap ps/2 mouses and keyboards the exact same way. Put it in wrong, doesnt go in properly of course, take it out, a pin is bent, try to fix with something flat like a nailfiler or knife, and it snaps, damit. Thank god everything is USB now adays
  3. ^ Ah, but Dumbledore is old, and perhaps knew it was finally his time to go. He felt certain sacrifices had to be made to rid the world of Voldemort, and perhaps his death was one of them. As for it being now, this point in time, you're right. But...book 6 is over, and this is what we're supposed to be doing! Figuring out all the possible situations that could happen. We've got a heck of a long time til book 7, so might as well. It just seems way to straight forward for J.K. Rowling to kill off Dumbledore like that. He can't have just died like that imo, there MUST be a great story behind it all. For the greatest wizard of his time, the only one voldemort was afraid of, Dumbledore can't have easily been killed by a supposed death eater, just like that. It doesn't make sense. It's like Harry being killed by Neville one night in their sleep. Sure, its possibly, but why the heck would it be so simple?
  4. Lmao. Thanks so much for posting this! Hilarious!!
  5. Wait, news today is the guy wasnt a suspect in the bombings? Had nothing to do with it? Didn't Rizla say the guy had a bomb on his back? What the heck? Im confused. :?
  6. Ah, I'm so used to calling it the graphics card that I didn't even realize what he was saying  srry, my bad! But I'd have to agree. Didn't Microsoft release the supposed reccomended specs for it a while back? I'll see if I can find it. It was pretty crazy, like you should have at least 1gig ram, and all this other stuff. I think I even saw the word terabyte in there somewhere. Lol.
  7. Well if you think about it, you're perfectly correct Ryan. I believe that Dumbledore asked Snape to kill him so that he could continue to work undercover for the order, but who knows that? Only Dumbledore. Dumbledore has said he has his reasons for trusting Snape, but now that he is gone, how will anyone know? Noone else knows that Snape may have killed Dumbledore upon his own request. So then that just defeats the entire purpose of Snape being good?
  8. Hmm, I have no idea what you just said. Something about a video card being ejected and crying? Okay...great reason not to use Windows Vista, when you haven't tried it, and it's not even out yet
  9. Still not sure then. Should I go ahead and just move files, or backup and redo properly? Ahhh! Help please!
  10. Ah, the date keeps getting pushed back. Not too long ago it was supposed to be released within the first quarter of 2006 I believe. However, they're now saying that its aimed for the end of 2006.
  11. Just think of that awesome movie that will be in your collection. :P Lol, srry to say, but right now I'm picturing you (how2pk) out on a date with a girl, saying "Sorry, I can't pay for you. I've gotta save for this 1337 movie I want to get!" Lol kidding! Anyhow, funny pic! Family Guy, lol.
  12. I know, I know, there have already been several threads on Windows Longhorn, and there is even one on this page. However, I believe that this subject now deserves a topic of its own. Windows Vista. Thanks for the heads up lordhathor, and as of today, Microsoft has announced the official ending of Windows Longhorn! That's right, the prelude to the actual beta is over. It is now out of production I believe, and will soon enter its official beta stage. Thus, the codename has been removed, and replaced by the next generation Windows Vista. First of all, thoughts on the name? Initially, it sounded kind of cheap to me. Windows Vista. Hmm... However, after looking at the Microsoft release video, I'd have to admit it does seem quite appealing, and really makes me want more. Windows Vista, Windows Vista, Windows Vista. I can get used to this name.... Next up is the product itself. Since its out of initial testing and production, will we soon see the true capabilities of the next generation Windows? I'm sure we haven't seen anything yet, as some Microsoft workers are claiming it to be the release of the decade. Wow. Beta testing begins August 3rd, 2005. Thats a mere 11 days away. I bet it'll be leaked within the first few hours. Beta 1 is being aimed at developers, and IT professionals. Should be interesting. I found info at CNN, along with the Microsoft homepage. http://money.cnn.com/2005/07/22/technol ... tm?cnn=yes http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/default.mspx You can also find the link to the video clip of the name being revealed. Everyone seemed so excited! Bmw
  13. ^ Really?! I was sure it wouldn't be called Windows Longhorn when it was released, because as mentioned, its just the codename for beta right? But Vista? Windows Vista...sounds kinda cheap! Eww! :? Edit: Just saw it on CNN, released today. http://money.cnn.com/2005/07/22/technol ... tm?cnn=yes Thanks for the heads up lordhathor! :P
  14. You know when you click device manager? See each category? Next to it, there is a little + box. Click it, it'll expand into smaller devices. Right click each device under a category, and click Update Driver.
  15. Well poll after poll, and review after review reveal that none of the mentioned Operating Systems are better than the other. It all depends on your main purpose for work. As Rick mentioned, the iBook would be a lot more useful if you were doing multimedia, such as video editing or something. I, personally, love the look and feel of a mac computer. However, Windows is a lot more mainstream than Apple. Therefore, I would use Windows, for its compatability.
  16. What I meant to say was, that if rick only mentioned shortcuts and registry being altered, why would it be simpler to re do the entire computer?

Ahh, a friend goes to Seneca for Computer Sciences. That's a College tho, right? If you're looking for a U of T scholarship tho, good luck! They barely give out anything worth considering, a couple thousand for the absolute most. They expect for you to bribe them, for allowing you to come. I guess they don't see it as the other way around. :x
  18. Ahh, the good old system. How2Pk is correct from a legal stand point, imo, but from a "common sense/emotional" stand point, hes completely wrong. The Police should have restrained the man, from the sounds of it at least, but who really cares? If I were one of them, I wouldn't hesitate either to shoot the moron, for lack of a better, appropriate word. Good job to the cops for not following the system, and doing what was truely correct, sending a message to all of these terrorists causing havoc amongst innocent civilians. Thank god. Bmw

Ah, this is not the wrong forums, if I correct, Magekillr. He's correct posting here. I'd probably change my name on the forums, if I could. Bmw is so cheesy! Lol. What kind of forum name is that anyways...Bmw. Eww. I'd use AviD, which is my real name...Avi, last initial is D. AviD sounds like avid, as in "An avid gamer" :P
  20. Hmm, care to explain a bit? Sorry, thanks! Bmw
  21. Yeah, I agree with the thought of Harry being Gryfindors heir, and being a horcrux, marked by his scar. That would definitely conclude the book perfectly, rather than a happy ending, but a sad, dramatic ending with both dying.
  22. Ahh Merc, but wasn't it a jpeg that he opened? He surely wasn't expecting a virus from a jpeg? Well, from being a member of tif alone, you should know what to do. Dont log into msn first of all. Simply run an antivirus scan, preferably something like norton, avg, or trendmicro. Run a spyware scan also. May want to do all of this in safemode, so you are sure its all out. Uninstall and reinstall msn, change msn password.
  23. Ahh, unfortunately I don't know much about reading hijack this logs, but i'll learn to do so, eventually. So I can't help you there, but realized you mentioned the BSOD. Chances are, spyware isn't the main cause. After someone helps you in cleaning out your system of spyware, run an antivirus software, so that you are sure you're all cleaned out of harmful processes. Next, i'd suggest to update all your hardware. Right click my computer>properties>hardware>device manager. Right click, and individually update everything. After that, install all windows updates. If you want you're computer to run nicely, you're gonna have to maintain it in working order! We'll see where to go from there if problems still persist after all of this has been completed.
  24. Ahh, I believe this is in need of a bump. Most of my problems are fixed, thanks a lot guys. However, everything it still italics
  25. Hmm, will a simple program in Norton System works clean out and properly update the registry?
