  1. "kill" was used as a broad term, and i should have elaborated. it is hard to shoot another human, despite if its a fatal shot.

you guys have 10 periods a day? i feel sorry for you. i have 5 classes total. i take 3 classes a day. the zero period class is daily, and the others are every other day. this is what my schedule looks like: 0 period: 6:30-7:00 1st period: 7:10-9:00 tutorial (period to do homework or other academic things): 9:10-9:40 2nd period: 9:50-11:40 home!
  3. trained to shoot, but not conditioned to kill. giving guns to teachers is not a totally bad idea, but it will only stop the dramatic kids looking for attention by bringing a weapon to school with no intention of using it against others. most students that committed school shootings killed themselves afterward. i doubt they are scared to die and would just like to take a few people with them.
  4. The system in place at that tiny little town is that it's okay for a teacher to do it, and I wouldn't doubt they had to have had training. I don't even think anybody has even signed up for it, as its optional. Who says they have to kill them? In places where school shootings are more common (urban areas) a teacher with gun training will easily be able to disarm a teenager without said training. A shot to the leg will easily disable a teenager. Ever been shot? Yeah, it'd be tough to take aim and kill that jerk that called you a buttface yesterday. my point was that a teacher would most likely not be able to bring himself to shoot another person, and would probably miss. no student serious enough about a school shooting to bring a gun and unveil it will be stopped by a scared teacher holding a gun he doesnt know how to use. lionheart, i dont know if you live in america, but if you ever go there you views will change. we already live in an age of fear and are completely occupied by it. one of many examples is that i, a young persian male, am constantly stereotyped at any airport and selected for random screening.
  5. i was just watching the daily show with jon stewart and he pointed out something very funny and ironic. in a speech on the russo-georgian conflict, condolezza rice said something along these lines: "it is not 1968. Russia cannot threaten its neighbors, invade, conquer the capitol, occupy the country and get a way with it." stewart then proceeded to agree with her, saying that "a country cannot invade another country, occupy the capitol, knock over their statues, etc." while showing slide show of pictures from iraq.
  6. that blows. now, would it be worse if she won gold or came in last place?
  7. i dont understand your logic
  8. giving guns to mentally stable teachers would be a good idea, if they knew how to use them. if some of you dont know, gun handling is not a prerequisite to teaching. with an already low budget for school supplies and salaries, adding a gun training program is very unlikely. even a teacher who knows how to handle a gun will be reluctant to shoot a student for fear of the repercussions. plus, its much harder to kill another human than hollywood makes it out to be.
  9. the crunch wrap supreme. i wish i could give you the recipe, but no one outside of the taco bell elite knows the secret. even wonder why del taco doesnt have one? exactly.
  10. i love canada im going to try out for the 100m hurdles.

what kind of car do you have? i love my car. limited edition 1989 mercedes 300CE with a custom paint job. the cool part is that this car was made in germany so it has many features that didnt appear in america until the late 90s like power windows, an alarm, memory for the seats, etc. i bought it for $4000 and my dad's friend, who is a used car dealer, said it would sell for at least $8000-10,000.
  15. most teachers ive talked to complain of having 3 months off, and usually get other summer jobs.
  16. ever heard of depression? teachers dont make much and most of them arent married. especially if the students in the teachers class are disrespectful, its easy to be pushed to the edge.

if you watch any track and field race you will notice that most of the racers slow down at the line. usian bolt jokes around a lot. if you watched the race early this morning on nbc, they were filming him before a race began while he goofed around with his friend (ie: making funny faces at the camera and putting bunny ears on his friend). stop the arguments about sportsmanship. edit: michael phelps never showboated either. all he did was cheer with his teammates when they won the relay.
  18. i wouldnt trust a teacher to be alone with a student let alone have a gun. a week or two after this law is enacted there will probably be a school shooting.
  19. ^ yes! thank you for reminding me about that Lipoderm commercial. "Lipoderm has found the secret to weightloss!" i have as well. its called a treadmill.
  20. well, id say computers have a long way to go before being "too advanced". but i would say it is redundant when my computer asks me for permission to run a program i just told it to run.

your first pair of jeans, really? how old are you?
  22. i recently played cod4 on pc. to my surprise i enjoyed it for a while. im used to playing halo games, so cod4 was very different. i dont like the scoping at all compared to the zooms in halo.
  23. nintendo DS never appealed to me. seems like an overdone attempt to bring back the gameboy glory days. get a psp. even though its a little more money there are better graphics, more available games, and ability to surf the web (i think?) and download movies.
  24. well my preferred program is AIM, but i only use it for a few minutes a month.
  25. you forget that after his company takes most of the money, then the government taxes him on the rest, he wont have very much left.
