  1. that was painful just to read. your employers treated you unfairly by underpaying you during your time off work and also by pinning a petty complaint on you. i would try to seek some form of compensation, but not take it too far. is your knee okay now?
  2.
  3. pokemon will never have a chance to be remembered as a 'classic' because it will never stop making new versions.
  4. at younger ages, the gap is more noticeable and awkward, but when you get older it doesnt matter as much. 20 year old with a 15 year old...strange and frowned upon. 35 year old with a 30 year old...no big deal. any ideas on why it works like this? i guess its related to maturity.
  5. going under the anesthetic is a pretty cool experience. the doctor puts it over your nose and mouth, tells you to count to three, and before you even get to two you're out like a light. you'll wake up in what seems like a second. remember, if you see a bright light, its just the operating lamp above you.

when talking about michael phelps, i think someone forgot to mention that his height is 6'4 but his wingspan/arm-length is 6'7. also if you want to watch videos not found on youtube, go to nbcolympics.com

dont get me started on jeans. living in southern california, i can tell you that any poser that thinks he is cool will be wearing Sevens, True Religions, Rocking Republics, etc. that are around $300-400 for a single pair.
  8. finally i dont have to hear rich white kids complain about their expensive suburban homes and fathers that dont love them
  9. i hate griffball with a passion
  10. there is an "E" grade in britain? i always wondered why some systems skipped E and went straight to F. i doubt the letters stand for anything, besides maybe F being Fail.
  11. ^ i don't even want to try reading that post. its a shame, because your argument/opinion may have been insightful. unfortunately, at a moments glance the dizzying array of smilies, bad grammar, and unnecessary font effects provide stunning reasons to disregard your post.
  12. if i were going on a plane i would only bring a friend named Jack. can anyone figure out why? hint: there are certain words that you cannot say, under any circumstances, on an airplane unless you risk jail-time.
  13. i can tell you that my first posts were far less sarcastic than they are today. also, i used proficient smilies back then. the only smiley ive used for a very long time has been this one: . best one.
  14. old news, but interesting. its more 'cloaking' than invisibility. the article i read a few weeks ago pointed out that this technology does not make one invisible, but merely reflects and bends the surrounded light to create an illusion.
  15. exactly! guns dont kill, they simply increase your chance of being hit by a bullet.
  16. africa's net worth as a country (natural resources included, of course) is insanely high. your suggestion to give each family several hundred dollars is, to be honest, very juvenile and naive. given the time we're all living in, it should be apparent that throwing money blindly at a problem will not solve anything. on top of that, giving money to families, no matter how much it is, wont really do anything for the country as a whole. before thoughts of flinging millions of dollars to africa come into play, there needs to be a stable government to handle it.
  17. back in my day we didnt have language. you kids these days are spoiled.

^ true. if they spend over $300 million on the opening ceremony and $200 million on the "water cube" then i doubt they are strapped for cash or viewers.
  19. $300 will make a family of four completely self-sufficient? For maybe a few weeks or months you mean, right?
  20. it depends what you mean by "near". because i live next to the prime minister of malaysia, the queen of england, and the great and powerful warlord, george w. bush.

i watched that video three times. not because i wanted to - i had to. that is amazing, but the amount of time she spends practicing that might depress me. by the way, i bet i can speed-knock-down faster than she can.
  22. a liberal murdered in the south? go figure!
  23. glad i live in america. the good 'ole grading system has been dumbed down year after year to help students pass. ...wait, that could be bad.
  24. soccer is boring with or without a shot clock. unless you're playing it. any sport is boring to watch (especially baseball), but are fun to play.
  25. my console is cool enough for general hardware failure. i feel cool by association.
