false fireworks, false singer, false athletes. doesnt seem like a longshot.
  3. 1000. i only play halo 3.
  4. i had both my copies of halo 2 and halo 3 buffed at game crazy, but it still froze and red-ringed, so im sure its the xbox. funny story about the buffing. im not a member of game crazy or anything, so the original price was about $2.00 per disc. no problem. so i go into game crazy and give the guy my disc. while he's buffing it, two of his co-workers and him start joking around about some game, talking really loud and using funny voices. then once he finished he came up to me and said it was on the house because he was off the clock and couldnt really charge me for it. good experience for me. (the voices they used were really funny).

"This Guy Is So Dead" - title of an article about a chinese olympian who missed his heat and got his team disqualified. he actually might be in for some rough patches given china's obsession with perfection and image. link: http://withleather.uproxx.com/post.phtml?pk=6620 (also found on digg.com)
  6. i noticed that bandminton really is an olympic sport. next WoW will also be included.

  9. i wont pretend like i understand much of what you said, seeing as i am not much of a computer person. what i did understand though, is that there is a lot of data involved. what kind of computer do you need to run this, and are there many practical uses for day-to-day life?
  10. first i called 1-800-4MY-XBOX, which is a microsoft hotline, for these xbox problems. after talking to an annoying automated voice, i was patched through to a dude in india, go figure. after about two minutes on the phone with him, i realize i cant really understand anything. maybe it was his accent, or maybe because i was on my cell, whatever. so i tell him i have to go, and i hang up. so then i called overstock.com where i bought the 360 and told them about the problem. they lady there helped me set up my warranty information and then told me to call another number. i called the number, and gave them my warranty information. the woman there told me my problem was part of a microsoft recall, and therefor their warranty didnt cover it. im sure it does, but they are too lazy to have me ship the 360, then they in turn have to ship it back to microsoft. so, she gives me a number and tells me to call it to recieve a new xbox. guess which number she gave me. you got it. 1-800-4MY-XBOX. damn.
  11. If I were stranded on an island I would bring three of my best friends. Now if you're talking about Fire Island, then that's a whole different, disturbing story.
  12. id like it if BS'ing was an olympic sport. now that id watch!
  13. quiznos! i get the roast beef with everything except onions whenever i go there. subway and quiznos have the same food basically, but i like the way quiznos prepares it. anyone heard about the woman that found a knife baked into her bread at subway? it was a while ago, i just remembered it now.
  14. i hope some of the local asians use lines like "damn pig-dog americans, coming into my town!" it would be pretty funny. i used to say that when i played Medal of Honor: Rising Sun as one of the japanese characters.

phelps is a beast. 200 meters in 1 min 42! wow, thats amazing. i can swim 50 meters in about 25-30 seconds but i couldnt keep it up like he does.
  17. red ring of death! it only lasted for about 10 seconds, then i turned the 360 off in panic. whenever i try to play halo 3 it freezes after a few seconds into a game. when i had no disc in the system and was in the dashboard, it ran fine at least for a few minutes. i dont know if its the disc (which has a few small scratches) or the system that is messed up. i have a 2 year warranty for the 360 that is still valid. tomorrow im going to try to play the disc on my friend's 360 to see if it works. if not, ill just buff out the scratches. any input?
  18. WWIII, i can see it coming.
  19. cheerleading please dont tell me it is already an olympic sport
  20. i just got an old copy of halo 2 from my friend! time to buff out the scratches and let the ownage commence. i love the halo 2 br. its devastating. also i cant wait to try out some of these glitches: bxr (duh) rrx (duh again lol) auto-stick with a plasma grenade auto-headshot (bending the shot)
