40 runecrafting
brainymidget replied to No_99_Melee's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
10/10 just for that clever little rhyme. -
Before doing any maging at Dagannoth Kings, the very first thing that you need to do is get 80 magic. 80 is the required level to cast charge which makes Claws of Guthix hit up to 30. Without charge, Claws of Guthix is just like Fire wave but twice as expensive. Also remember to bring a Guthix cape or it will still only hit up to 20. With your stats, once you get 80 mage, you would be able to Duo/trio mage with ease, although you would not be able to mage by yourself very easily. You could do it but you would be getting hit quite a bit. Before maging by yourself, I would suggest you raise your mage and defence up 5-10 levels, and get your summoning up to 68 for a bunyip. Summoning helps so much with Dk'ing that I never go there without a familiar. If you don't want to train your summoning up, then atleast use a spirit terrorbird to carry some extra Brews and super restores.

Antipoison(+) It just lasts a little bit longer than Super Antipoison, although it does cost more, so you can go with whatever. Also, if you want to spend even more, you can go for Antipoison(++)

Yep, I'll fix those in 1 second, it appears that Tif changed the BB codes used to embed a youtube video.

I accidentally logged onto a fake Runescape forums, and my password was stolen. I tried to change my password but I was too slow and the hacker was on my account. For the next hour or so, I tried my recoveries, I had my friends try and find the hacker and see what he was doing. They found him at the GE where he stayed for a while, just selling all of my stuff. Finally, my recoveries worked and I was able to get my password back but he was still on my account. Luckily for me, he had to hop to get to a Bounty Hunter world and I was able to log on, with very little items in my base, and about 100m worth of items in my inventory, an AGS, BGS, Bandos Plate, and Ranger Boots. That was a close one :P

What if you had more inventory slots?
brainymidget replied to HugeBrain's topic in General Discussion
As Jagex said in Behind the Scenes 2009, they plan to make the interfaces as flexible and user-friendly as possible, and when changing all this, they may add more tabs with more options on them, one of these new tabs could possibly be a secondary inventory, unlockable when you do the second grandmaster quest. -
Is Jagex meaning more behind their updates?
brainymidget replied to Natedoggygog's topic in General Discussion
I really don't think this is making a more mature community. I know a few younger kids, around age 10, who play the game, and the day of the update, a few of them constantly messaged me, using their new found swear words, and I feel that many younger kids seem to find it fun to swear excessively. I am hoping that some parents of younger kids will see this and not allow their children to play any more. That could deal with some of the annoying little kids. -
Where, pointer please :) I *think* on youtube. Search for "torfaz" It's tofraz, and yes, he has many guides on how to train the skill in the best way and he also includes exp rates.

I love my untrimmed hp :D I'll probably trim it in a month or so once I finally get some other skills up to 98. -
Brainymidget's 2008
brainymidget replied to brainymidget's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
those appear to be brawling gloves captain Ya, those are thieving brawling gloves, the green ones are ranging, and the two brown ones are hunter. Haha wow, I completely forgot about those brews. Back when I was doing a bit of merchanting on brews, I bought a bunch of 3 dosers, I made some into 4 dosers so they would sell for more and I guess I forgot I had all those :) -
Well, I haven't really been posting many of my achievements and I no longer have many of my pictures saved but I decided to just make a post about a few of my achievements this year and what my stats and bank are like now. Over this year, I don't remember too many achievements, but the major things I know are my Untrimmed hitpoints cape, and I have also gotten 1900 and 2000 total level. Here is my bank as of January 2nd, I would have made this post yesterday, on New Years Day, but I've had a horrible cold and been in bed all day today and yesterday. So ya, Bank: I think that my total bank value is somewhere between 100 and 150m. And now here, my skills: And last but not least, my level and exp gains for the 2008 year. Overall(+117) +62,930,504 Attack(92->98) +5,246,332 Defence(87->98) +7,961,035 Strength(92->98) +5,314,300 Hitpoints(94->99) +9,812,467 Ranged(91->98) +5,582,828 Prayer(74->78) +572,582 Magic(91->98) +6,627,554 Cooking(82->90) +2,935,337 Woodcutting(75->77) +307,226 Fletch(86->90) +2,018,481 Fish'n(77->78) +185,781 Firemaking(83->87) +1,257,293 Crafting(75->80) +749,254 Smith(70->75) +489,659 Mining(70->73) +278,245 Herb(70->75) +478,197 Agility(70->72) +153,081 Thieving(70->75) +446,151 Slayer(78->90) +3,720,230 Farming(71->78) +773,093 Runecraft(70->73) +243,510 Hunter(70->75) +466,459 Construction(70->71) +51,799 Summoning(1->93) +7,259,619 So ya, there's my year.

Aah memories... Let's see, back in October 04, I was hanging out with my friend at the library and he showed me Runescape. I was told that Runescape would give my computer AIDS so I didn't want to play it at home. I basically only ever played Runescape that one day in the library and then I quit, although I'm not sure if you consider it quitting if you never really played. About 1 year later, I actually think it was 364 days, I came back and started playing Runescape. I was Non-member for a little while and then sometime around 6 years later, in Spring 06, I got members. A little bit later, November 13th 2006, I joined SoDB. At this point, I was a level 98 combat who wanted to slay some dangerous beasts. At this point, SoDB was closing down for a bit, so I wasn't an active SoDB'er yet. In 2007 though, SoDB was back open. In early 2007, I started my goal to 85 slayer, and I went from 67 to 68 before giving up on that. In late March 2007, I started Dk'ing a bit. I made a fair bit of money but then I didn't do that again for a while, got doing other stuff, it wasn't until later that year that I got really hooked on Dk'ing. In May, I achieved a goal I had been working on for a little while, 60+ all skills. A little bit later on that year, August 2007, I became an Event Organizer for SoDB. I finally continued my earlier goal and in November 2007, I finally got 70+ all. I planned to have 75+ within a few months but I still haven't achieved that, although I'm working on it. Nothing that I can really remember for a little while, atleast nothing too important, but then in July '08, I finally finished another long term goal, 85 slayer, and then a few months later, in November '08, after being within 200k exp, I finally got 90 slayer, haven't done a slayer task since. Then just a few weeks ago, December 15th, 2008, I became an admin for SoDB. And... that's my story.
-
Because no matter how fast you are, you can't make 100k+ an hour doing it, that's why. Also, you don't lose cash runecrafting unless you use talismans, and as I have already proven, talismans are almost no faster than the ZMI. Yes, so you would have to be completely idiotic to use talismans to train runecrafting. Calling runecrafting buyable because of talismans is like saying you consider woodcutting a buyable skill for you because you drop 1m cash every time you get a level.

Genius93's BOB---Added Stats
brainymidget replied to genius93's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Could be better 3/10 -
Well, first off, Fire wave is better than slayer dart. Hits better, more exp, and cheaper. Also, godstaff is annoying having to always click it, it's worth it to get the void mace. Also, it definitely does not cost 1.1m and 2 hours to get claws. All you have to do is cast 100 claws of guthix in the arena, that costs 60k and takes 10 or so minutes. However, if you don't wanna spend time and money on 80 mage, then you can always just stick with fire wave.
-
Well, claws is only good if you can use charge. If you can't use a wave, preferable fire wave or earth wave, but I guess air wave works. Also, are you suggesting that you weild AGS or SGS and then just click to cast. Because that is horrible to do, you need to use a staff that auto-casts it or it is just annoying and not really worth it.

09-Dec-2008 Achievement Diaries Hairstyles + PVP Improvement
brainymidget replied to Toad's topic in General Discussion
And your RC level is 8 levels too low. -
Well, the obvious answer is to go and get both of em on you, and then run down to him. But the problem with that is that they are both on you now as well, and as soon as you leave, they get off him. My suggestion to avoid getting crashed is bring claws of guthix, that way you can beat him to all the drops and he'll be forced to leave.

[*:2hyqom3d]Verac and Guthans are both good for solo maging. Verac is better because it is easier to do since you don't have to switch weapons and find Spinolyps to kill, also it costs less than Guthans and some people can't afford Guthans. Guthan's is better because you use less supplies and can have a longer trip. [*:2hyqom3d]I honestly don't know what the experience per hour is, but I'd guess it's around 40k, but it depends on what spell you ues. [*:2hyqom3d]Gp per hour can vary so much it's hard to even guess. I've had 4 hour trips where I make 14m and I've had 2-3 hour trips where I get only enough drops to pay for my supplies and even a few trips where I don't get anything.

A Grandmaster Level
brainymidget replied to 3PointMan's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
When did you finish it? Me and about 4 other TIF friends all finished sometime between 3 and 4 EST, Olav338 was the first of us to finish it, I was second, then I think it was Dopey 06, Sheynara, and Uaexkiller. -
So if these are the drops from one Grand Master quest...
brainymidget replied to Socc's topic in General Discussion
I loved the quest but I feel it should have been a bit harder. It only took me 4-5 hours and that was without a quest guide. They should have made it a multi-part quest in which each of 3 or 4 parts took as long as this quest did and some parts were even harder and required more epic fights. That is when they could truly label this THE Grandmaster quest. -
5 noted diamonds. ?? Lava runes. Don't remember any other drops except for one drop which I got 3 crimson charms and about 10 different herb seeds and other kinds of seeds.
