I don't think it's really necessary to have paid though it can be extremely useful. I think it more depends on the forum tech who runs it that makes the forums better or worse. I don't know much about audio but if you have a large enough clan not sure if free servers would host enough slots.

I don't think a clan has to PVP. I can see why clans PVP but there is really no reason they must. Unless of course you're afraid of the opinion of someone on the internet.

Good to see the community or at least some of the community making an effort. It will become more active AND interesting if there is at least some level of intelligence behind each post. Those short little internet phrases that are so common don't really promote either activity or anything at all really. What happens is really up to the community, this topic already seems to have created an interesting discussion (aside from some of lack of intelligence posts aforementioned).

Beef or rivalries make the clan world the clan world. It motivates people and keeps a lot of people playing Runescape. The biggest rivalry I remember was WG vs Distortion. They told us they would hit us every time we stepped into p2p. It was pretty fun as they were really bad so we would spend hours making bank. :P That had to be the best as I think I got the leader's kill a few times and the most I've ever made from a raid.

We'll probably put most events on hold like we did last time. I doubt I'll be doing DG though, probably smithing or runecrafting.

PVP Guardians :P Never been too good with the creating names business. I'd say Red Menace though.
