For now GE is not really working well for me. I know I can try and sell my items the old way, don't tell me that. I just observe that GE is not as usefull as I would like. What is happening - I set various items (6 types) at minimum prices and after 10-12 hours no item is sold and in most cases the 'price' has gone down. So i relist them for the new minimum and again after 10-12 hours it is the same. This happens to both uncommon and common items. examples: uncommon: blue dh body trimmed - 'price' does not change, nobody buys. I want to offer lower, but cannot do ... snakeskin chaps - 'price' goes down before i could sell, then I relist and the same thing happens again. common: rune baxes, maple logs, black dhides, mith arrows - 'price' goes down before i could sell, then I relist and the same thing happens again.

There it is - the perfect answer to "why didn;t jagex done it yet"

I liked that :) The article is good (although a bit harsh), but the responce of EugenyG is the best read (for me) in the whole topic. Hopefully Jagex will loosen a bit the grip on the GE once they feel more comfortable with the situation. When they have more feedback on what is going on in the GE. Maybe they just started conservatively to avoid big abuse loopholes.

couldn't you just search for offer of the item you are interested in? for example you want that air staff. could you see what offers are there for air staff? or you have to make buying offer? what if I say I buy staff for 1300 and there is a sell offer for 1100? I cannot check those things at work, but i am curious :)

Then how a new item will be valued? a new slayer or dragon weapon/armour, items for summoning ... jagex will predefine prices? blah! +-5% is too tight for my taste.

I didn't say I want all those things to happen. I just meant that the path they took might lead us there ...

more: unable to drop gp, unable to drop anything more valuable then Xgp (according to player value) or when you drop gp or anything more valuable than Xgp they are invisible to other player when you die to a monster your items will be invisible to other players. (at least gp and items more valueble than Xgp) when you die to a pker - your gp will be invisible to the pker and to be consistent - items more valuable than Xgp also whithout eleminating every possible way of exchanging valuable items or gp the duel arena change is pointless. maybe even make valuable items (value more than X) unable to be sold to shops ...

The day barbarian training was introduced i went to check it out. Because of full bank space and eagerness to go and see i did the stupidest thing ever in my RS career - went in the dungeon with all my money (5.5M) and forgot to take a antidragon shield. Got firebreathed twice by a brutal green and woke up in falador (in shock). The dungeon was full of people then and surely someone had a nice present. See where i am going? How can anyone draw a line if I was RWT or just stupid/unlucky? And there are many scenarios how to make that less suspicious ...

hmm, I am 71 hunter currently and my observations are: alone 50-55k/h someone around my lvl (4 traps) <40k/h once a guy put all his traps in a line and the exp looked like 60k/h for me, but he left soon. all those are estimates, as i never had the chance to hunt for an hour in the same conditions. + i do try to set my traps around the spawns I do not know what kind of trap formation could be mutually benefitial. And even if i knew - how do i convince the other hunter to set his traps in a speciffic way :) ?

I was thinking of some kind of sabotage, but ... it will be even more irritating and ineffective sulution. I was never able to hunt a whole hour without someone intefering. If i try to kill the chomps it will be a total disaster of exp. Even if I make one go another will come. where is the other good spot? and another funny story : We are already 2 hunters on the west wall and a third one appears and starts laying traps. Then the second one goes - "Omg! Noob!!!" and leaves ... Maybe i shuold start inviting friends to come and scare the 'intruder' :D

I am talking about the infamous red chinchompa spot. Very popular, you have to world hop a lot to find a clear space. And when you find an empty world - here is what happens(3 typical cases): The good scenario: Someone arrives. Sees the spot is taken and leaves. The pro scenario: A 99 hunter (with cape) arrives and start laying his traps according to his pattern right on the same spot. One of my traps is placed on a spot that he likes. So he stand there, waits for me to pick mine up and lays his before i can. I was in the high 60ies hunter lvl, so naturaly Most of the chinchompas went to his traps and i have no choice but to leave ... The noob scenario: A hunter around my lvl arrives, laying his 4 traps around mine. Asking hunter lvl, bla bla. I don't even try to be friendly, basicly i don't talk. Then after a while he asks me to leave because I was there first and it is his turn to be alone at this spot! And then the top dialogue: - Can i have some chins? - Sure. trade offer - 900ea - Noob they are 800ea! - ok 800ea then. - No, i want them free. I tried to measure the exp gain (justo to be sure) and according to my observations when two people are using the same spot the exp is really going down (except maybe if one of the hunters has a lot higher lvl then the other). And everyone understands that, but still a lot of people prefer to try and annoy you to a level when you just descide to leave, instead of searching for an empty spot. The discusion here is: Is that the way it works? Like f2p hill giants - ruthless competition? If not - how do you manage such situations?

you write Godwars in almost every post in this thread (hoping someone will approve :), but - no I don't think you can be effective there with your stats(even with group). GWD bosses are Hard. You might be able to get a few kills with a grop, but chances are you will spend more than you will gain

hm, i would not say it is that bad ... maybe it depends on your timezone.

i tried to solo the boss 2 times - failed. might try again short advice - use ruby(e) bolts to some point and then switch to diamond(e) use protect from range and eagle eye. and range pot make and bring tuna potatoes (soloing you will not have time for drinking sara brews). you can use sara (+super restore) before the boss fight to just rise max hp and def. eat a lot - be safe. i dont think that you will be able to solo him even once, but i might be wrong. the problem is that you recieve too many hits from 3 of the monsters and have to eat too much, thus loosing time from the actuall killing of the boss. maybe with your high mage and reasonable def you could do it, but it will be down to luck. anyway - don't hope for a special drop. it will require many many kills or an extreme luck.

granite items are very heavy (especially the plate) -> you run out of energy quicker. as for the shields - obby shield is an alternative to rune/granite. Same defence as granite, +5 str and is lighter by both.

some estimation of tickets per hour? or even exp/hr depending on how much tickets you cash in ...

I am afraid of the GE for several reasons. one of the most frightening one is : BOTs autoscannig and aoutobuying all bargains ! a huge change to the shops to remove autobayers and now the GE - autobayer's paradise ?!

from my exp 37k-41k with super energies. (while you are in the 60ies of agility) depending on lvl and need for occasional world hop in case you feel unsafe.

for the people done Varrock diary - they can bring the armour (at least second lvl is needed for granite). you drink more frequently (no desert robe top), but you get 2 ores on occasion - and experience is given for the extra ore. the guide sais - granite is the best exp/h, but i am not 100% sure. tested both granite and iron powermining and both methods were pretty close. (I could not do an exact measurement due to several distractions) do you have exp/h for iron? one plus of granite powermining is - less clicking, because it is a bit slower than iron and in the end less stressfull on the fingers :)

bows got a serious blow Cb's are cheper, better, give more options (with all the enchanted variants), onehanded ... before noone was using a cb, Jagex shifted the power so much that now noone will use a bow. (I am not talking only about the bone cb, but about the big tunning that metal cb's got). Even crystal bow is almost useless now (and it costed a lot of people a lot of money to get it to reasonable recharge). No balance - it does not feel right :\

hmm, how fast is the dorgeshunn crossbow ? as hunter? as msb? as regular crossbow? (never used it, but i might start to)

Last time i went for onyx, the shop in tzhaar was giving me 9 tokkul per chaos rune (after saturation). Is that changed to 10 now?

Things i ?learned? from RS: Weight can actually be negative, but gravity still applies. (how is that possible?!) The world has a fence of black fog. Cooking a shark takes around a second or two.
