    Nice guide! :)

  3. Well, after completing the quest, I geared up and ran over to do my favourite sport; killing metal dragons. I use Protect melee + Piety normally so I was a litle excited to see if the curse prayers worked as good. I selected a new set of prayers; Deflect melee + Turmoil and started killing irons and steel. At first I thought that it was no difference, but after awhile I noticed that the prayer drained slower then normal plus I every now and then manage to recoil hits back to the dragon (+1 to +8; they do have high defence though). Usually when I sell my bones (I send bones to bank via my Pack Yak) I have managed to kill between 180 - 195 dragons, but today I had killed 233 in one trip. I must say I think this new prayer shows promise =) Also, I do keep my new prayer even if I recharge at an altar; I get a choise "want to revert back to normal prayers or stay on cursed?".
  4. The idea that the universe is a product of chance requires belief in what scientists describe as many "lucky accidents" or "coincidences." For example, the universe is made up of an abundance of the simplest atomshydrogen and helium. Life, however, requires not only hydrogen but also an abundance of more complex atoms, especially carbon and oxygen. Scientists used to wonder where such precious atoms come from. Is it just a coincidence that the complex atoms necessary to sustain life are manufactured inside certain giant stars? And is it just by chance that some of these giant stars explode as supernovas, spewing out their treasure chest of rare atoms? Sir Fred Hoyle, who was involved in the making of these discoveries, said: "I do not believe that any scientist who examined the evidence would fail to draw the inference that the laws of nuclear physics have been deliberately designed." To avoid extremes of temperature, the earth must orbit at the correct distance from the sun. In other solar systems, planets have been detected that orbit sunlike stars and are considered to be in the 'habitable zone'that is, they are capable of sustaining liquid water. But even these so-called habitable planets may still not be suitable for human life. They must also rotate at the right speed and be the right size. If the earth were slightly smaller and lighter than it is, the force of gravity would be weaker and much of the earth's precious atmosphere would have escaped into space. This can be seen in the case of the moon and the two planets Mercury and Mars. Being smaller and weighing less than the earth, they have little or no atmosphere. But what if the earth were slightly bigger and heavier than it is? Then the earth's gravitation would be stronger, and light gases, such as hydrogen and helium, would take longer to escape from the atmosphere. "More importantly," explains the science textbook Environment of Life, "the delicate balance between the gases of the atmosphere would be upset." Or consider just oxygen, which fuels combustion. If its level were to increase by 1 percent, forest fires would break out more frequently. On the other hand, if the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide kept increasing, we would suffer the consequences of an overheated earth. Another ideal feature is the shape of earth's orbit. If the orbit were more elliptic, we would suffer unbearable extremes of temperature. Instead, the earth has a nearly circular orbit. Of course, the situation would change if a giant planet like Jupiter were to pass nearby. In recent years scientists have uncovered evidence that some stars have large Jupiterlike planets orbiting very close to them. Many of these Jupiterlike planets have eccentric orbits. Any earthlike planets in such systems would be in trouble. Explained this, I wanted to compare sciense with the Genesis, because so many people (christians especially) think the Bible state that God created earth in 24 hours. It does not. The Genesis account opens with the simple, powerful statement: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) Bible scholars agree that this verse describes an action separate from the creative days recounted from verse 3 onward. The implication is profound. According to the Bible's opening statement, the universe, including our planet Earth, was in existence for an indefinite time before the creative days began. Geologists estimate that the earth is approximately 4 billion years old, and astronomers calculate that the universe may be as much as 15 billion years old. Do these findingsor their potential future refinementscontradict Genesis 1:1? No. The Bible does not specify the actual age of "the heavens and the earth." Science does not disprove the Biblical text. What about the length of the creative days? Were they literally 24 hours long? Some claim that because Mosesthe writer of Genesislater referred to the day that followed the six creative days as a model for the weekly Sabbath, each of the creative days must be literally 24 hours long. (Exodus 20:11) Does the wording of Genesis support this conclusion? No, it does not. The fact is that the Hebrew word translated "day" can mean various lengths of time, not just a 24-hour period. For example, when summarizing God's creative work, Moses refers to all six creative days as one day. (Genesis 2:4) In addition, on the first creative day, "God began calling the light Day, but the darkness he called Night." (Genesis 1:5) Here, only a portion of a 24-hour period is defined by the term "day." Certainly, there is no basis in Scripture for arbitrarily stating that each creative day was 24 hours long. How long, then, were the creative days? The wording of Genesis chapters 1 and 2 indicates that considerable lengths of time were involved. Contrary to the claims of some fundamentalists, the book of Genesis does not teach that the universe, including the earth and all living things on it, was created in a short period of time in the relatively recent past. Rather, the description in Genesis of the creation of the universe and the appearance of life on earth harmonises with many recent scientific discoveries. Because of their philosophical beliefs, many scientists reject the Bible's declaration that God created all things. Interestingly, however, in the ancient Bible book of Genesis, Moses wrote that the universe had a beginning and that life appeared in stages, progressively, over periods of time. How could Moses gain access to such scientifically accurate information some 3,500 years ago? No, I do not support a big bang theory, I belive in a Creator.
  5. Wheter you are a beliver or not; the fact is, that a simple table can not be made by it self, even if you put a bomb inside a furniture factory and hope all the parts in there magically assemblys its self after the smoke have cleared. "Intelligent" scientists are trying to convince us that the more complex universe, the planets and the living breathing humans are infact from a "big bang". Well, Im not falling for that :)
  6. In the guide, under the recomended equipment (tank), you underline and link to; 1) Torag's platelegs, but when clicked it leads you to Torag's platebody. 2) Torag's helm, but when clicked shows Verac's helm. :)
  7. I am lvl 71 rc, and tried to fill and empty my giant pouch after up'ing my level to 75 using spicy stew; it did not work, so you can not use skill boosters for this task (darn it). <_<
  8. Welcome back old timer! Couldn't stay awat huh?
  9. Magesplashing spiders, for instance in lumby basement, with low mage stats are great training, but sadly many many players do this the illegal way by afk'ing. It is against the rules to be away from your keyboard for hours, and if a jmod or a playermod suspect a player of afk'ing they will check him or her up closer. If the player who is suspected of afk'ing doesn't reply to a jmod or a pmod's questions/querys (you can't ignore jmods or pmods) after a reasonable time, they could risk permanent ban (which have happened to thousends of accounts already).
  10. Cruising forums, reading a book or watch television while playing is ok, as long as you stay at the keyboard. Like the above mentioned; leaving the keyboard for hours/days while a macroprogram or other means of cheating, do the playing for you - thats a bannable offense and will be detected sooner or later.
  11. Well I have only one thing to say; about bloody time! PS; who the heck made this possible? I can tell you guys, we admins from them olden days wanted this switch many years ago. Freakin awsome! :
  12. As did I  Excellent rewards for such a short quest :
  13. Here are the color's you should choose when riding the cart in the dungeon when veldaban is managing the controls: (Y= Yellow - G= green) - to get to the other side of the winded-up bridge; [hide=]Y - G - Y - G- G - Y - Y - Y - Y[/hide]
  14. Umm g4ses, I think you might have misunderstood a litle; noone here is claiming that girls are better then boys. Girls and boys are equal in that sence that we all have 1)brains - 2)a functional body - 3)capability to do the best for our circumstances, wheter you are a boy or a girl. True? The debate here is merely about wheter girls play games in general or Runescape in particular or not. The declaration from the wast majority on this thread (thanks guys : ) is that there are. We gals posting also proves it.
  15. Im late into this discussion (*waves to Meili,Sluggy and Magey*) but I felt the urge to give my 2 cc. Im not only a girl and play rs, im a WOMAN - I even did sports when I was younger:p The reason so many young boys think that girls dont do sports, girls dont play games, girls dont swear or spit, etc, comes from the fact that the world has been centered around men since the dawning of time. We women are greatly underestimated =) Take the female fighter pilots during WW2 for instance; the american "wasps" and the russian "black witches". How many of you have heard of them? Try googling them! You will have great trouble finding them even there! How about female soccer? female sports at all? Pay attention to the sportcasts on the television; 99% of them all are about men. No wonder young boys dont think we do these things! Heres a newsflash; eventhough our activities arent commented or prioritized on TV or radio, we are doing the same as you guys! If its to fly a plane or play a game; it has nothing to do with testosterone. It requires a brain, eyes and hands to do those things - and dont both sexes have that in common? Well, to be honest, I have only seen a couple guys play rs in real life - does that mean they are rare? :-k
  16. For those into that kind of thing - more incentive to spam.... *Tries to hide poscount* :P
  17. New meat for the offerings! \ Ahem, no, I ment to say; Congrats to the new modlings-to-be!

  21. Just a question; do you have win vista? And do you have MSN running while you are online/plays? I have the exact same problem as you do, and I discovered that it stopped as soon as I closed messenger. For some reason messenger messes up my connection. Someone told me this is common with vista.
