Y'know, most of these p2pers who are falling over each other to declare that they don't think that 100% f2p is an achievement prove in the best way possible that it is. If they really didn't care, if it really didn't matter, would they make such a big deal about it? Human jealousy, among other things, will always tell the truth, even if it wasn't intended that way. 100% f2p is an achievement, simply because of the greater effort required. Rather or not it is a respectable one is ultimately a matter of opinion.

So basically you're mad because you think that people who've played for longer than you and people who played during classic are jerks? And because some of them like a game that you think is stupid because of the graphics? Even though the game is the way it is at least partly because of the influence of Classic players? Sounds to me like you're just being childish. Why do you dislike people who, at least for the most part, are fairly mature, nice people who have never done anything to you? So some guy made an arse of himself to you, or you're just biased, and you're using either your biase or your experience from one or two people to condemn an entire group of players as arrogant, selfish trash... Yeah, that sounds logical. Forgive me for being a little rude, but when I see a thread that bashes people for no reason, I'm not going to be polite.

If I'm going to be doing something dangerous, I'll wear the best I have. Otherwise, whatever looks good. So basically when I sat on piles with a dds and waited for people to attack me because they thought it was my kill, I wore the best stuff I could use. Got decent loot from all the would-be pjers.. But yeah, my standard outfit for noncombat is usually black naval + legends cape, white boots & gloves, glory/fury, Ss or rod of ivandis with sara book. So not exactly the highest stats.. ;)

Item lending as RWT will never become hugely successful, simply because there is too much effort needed to get items that are popular to lend, and because of the one item lend limit. Even if someone tries this, it will be a small time operation that affects noone beyond the rwter and the idiot who buys the service. I really don't understand why people are comparing potential rwting through item lending with old-style RWTing, where bots and goldfarmers flooded the economy with cheap resources. Who else would be affected by item-lending RWT? In almost every case someone could make the gp to get an item lended in less time and with less effort than cash to buy the lend, without running the risk of being banned. Where is the incentive to buy a lend with cash, rather than gp? And even if by some wild chance people started doing this, it would still be an extremely small scale operation which would not affect the community.

Anywho, here are some of my more disturbing memories: This kid, Robert in my kindergarten class was [bleep]nuts crazy. Once, he stood up in class, dropped his pants, took a crap into them, and then threw it at someone. Thankfully, I haven't seen him since. Also, there was this guy in 9th who thought that he was a vampire. Literally, he thought that he was a vampire. If you threw water at him, he would scream and run away shouting something along the lines of 'IT BURNS!!!'. He was also terrified of sunlight. Of course, it goes without saying (Oops, looks like I said it anyways...) that much fun was had at his expense.

Y'know, I'm by no means a fanatic for either side. I enjoyed a little pking, and the current pvp is pathetic. I'm a little upset that the wilderness is gone, it kinda ticks me off. But I'm not the sort of person to riot or make stupid clone rants. Pking is gone and all we have are shoddy substitutes, so I'm going to do pretty much the same thing, except without pking. But when people make rants like this, basically a zombie of every '0mg get oVer it n0b cheet3rs' rant ever written about pkers who want the wildy back... As far as I can see, the only purpose of these pker bashing threads is to give the op and supporters a chance to sit back and make arses of themselves by telling anyone who posts a different opinion to 'get over it' and '0mg if u dont like it, quit', while they spew clouds of smug. And these sorts of threads were annoying enough when they were actually up to date, but here you go posting one something like eight months after the fact... Don't you people ever get bored of insulting people who support a different point of view?

This is not true. They disproved this on Mythbusters, as I recall it was an almost perfect 50/50 chance of the toast landing spread side down. Proof Hate to burst your bubble, but its not true :| Spoilsport. I say that we forget this whole thing and go light a few cats on fire. Then tie them together and drop them off of an office building. I honestly don't see what the problem is. Some, if not most of the objection to nudity seems to stem from religous taboos, though.. So that probably explains a lot right there. The only legitimate reason for wearing clothing would be local climates, obviously you wouldn't want to be walking around the Artic Circle in the nude. I really don't understand why people have such objections. And no, I don't accept 'We've been doing it for so long, why stop now?' as a real argument. Let me say this again: Tradition is NOT a reason to continue a practice that serves no real purpose. In temperate and tropical climates, clothing is not necessary for the majority of the year. Give a logical reason for wearing clothing when you don't need it. I understand that some people are ashamed of their bodies, but that is their problem. Let them wear whatever they want, and we'll do the same.

That's terrible advice :| All that will do is make his parents frustrated and angry, worsening his situation. Although I believe the padlock thing is a joke, it's likely to seem the most appealing thing to do no matter how logical and sound the other advice is. It's standard teenager behavior and there's nothing you can do about it until you are simply out from under your parents' scrutiny. I turn sixteen in three weeks, and I can very much sympathize with Powman, although my problems stem more from tension with my dad. (Two males butting heads can get ugly, especially when they're polar opposites.) As much as I know what I should do, I'm too stubborn, proud, and typically rebellious to buckle down and do it. But never despair, for once you get older you'll have to deal with them less (my parents are pretty trusting, as I said before that's not where my trouble is) and after you've made a few more stupid decisions that will hopefully be instructional you will be fine ;) Yes, it was a joke.. :roll: Just try to do your best to make your parents trust you, make sure to let them know when you're going to be gone for a long time, that sort of thing. They'll stop eventually, once they've realized that you are your own person. That, and you will probably be moving out ~4-8 years from now, and then you'll be able to do things without them bothering over every detail. Remember, they do honestly think that they're doing it for your own good.
