  1. Even my friends and I, wittle, bitty, 13 year olds get glared at in stores and movies. Sometimes, if there's a big movie showing, and they have like people at the doorway into the actual theater (the mall near my house has a movie theater with about 12 different theaters, down two hallways), they usually wave most people past, but I am always the one who gets stopped and told only to go to that movie. I've been kicked out shoe shopping when my mom goes off to look at something, and I'm trying on different shoes and hats and stuff.
  2. A volcano erupting under your house in an area with no recent history of vocanic activity? Ok... I guess adressing your fears is the first step to overcoming them.
  3. The 'negative thing' is called pessimism. I am more neutral, and would rather take in a stiuation and examine it from an unbiased point of view. My idea is that if we are on the positive side of things, everything gets bumped up the scale. The normal things seem better, the good things seem great, and the bad things don't seem that bad. If we look at things negatively, it is the opposite. Bad things seem horrible, good things don't seem all that great, et cetera... So, yeah, I'm nutral depending on the situation itself.
  4. That would be nice to have a hot topic from off-topic, as I rarely venture out of there and the gallery, but I would rather keep the off-topic community as it is, and not flood it with people who know only how to type in 1337 5p3ak. Imagine: The religion topics usually grow fast; if one of those gets hot topic, it is spammed with pointless discussion and people who have no idea what they are talking about.=, and the quality of the thread drops entirely. For every thoughtful, meaningful, and well opinionated post, there would be 20 of them that are pointless, one word sentences.
  5. No, it was more of my stuttering rage, and laziness to get the actual memo, rather than hers. :( It said, word for word: "Mr. and Mrs. xxxxxxx, I need to schedule a conference regarding internet safety and the video your son 'posted' on YouTube. Does Wednesday morning work for you?" Yeah, I screwed that up.
  6. Whenever I look at a clock at night, if I glance up at the one on the cable box, it always says 9:31 (24-hour time, pfft), and during math period, it's always 11:35, I gues thats just my natural time to look at the clock or something? I really doubt that supernatural powers are telling me to look at a clock. Don't they have better things to do?
  7. I can stick my leg behind my head :
  8. I'm almost glad I stopped caring about this thread long ago. I have not gotten one of the half page flash ads in a while, and am perfectly happy. Tip only uses popunder windows sparingly, like, if I've been browsing around for a while, and close out, and there is an ad for screensavers, I really don't mind it. The ad on the page right now is for Crest Whitestrips, nothing is wrong with it. The popunder I am seeing right now is an advert for "Monster". It is easy to close, and directs me to their website, not some third-party site. Chill out and live with it, you guys.
  9. Well, actually, she requested to have a conference with my mom. One of the other teachers handed me this envelope, which said "To the parents of Sean xxxxxxx", which was my cue to open it. Inside it basically said: "Mr. and Mrs. xxxxxx, I need to speak to you about the awful content that your son has so carelessly and illigally placed on the internet. Is Wednesday morning good for you?" I showed my mom, and she said that it was none of her business what I do in my free time, and that she would go, and tell the teacher just that. So, again, I wait.
  10. Be careful, Jordin might be browsing this very forum :uhh: :) You know, I really hat it when they say a show is running live, but somehow all of the other time zones get to see it before me, and I live near LA where they shoot it :notalk:

    Hmm?

Actually, I was just thinking about how cabbagy your thread was. Just pick a name and stick with it, that's one of the bad things, your stuck. Just pick something already.
  12. What is and average SAT score? I took the PSAT, it was being offerd by the local university for kids, and my parents wanted me to take it. I got: PSAT Score: Math: 52 Critical Reading: 56 Writing: 57 PSAT Total Score: 165 Estimated SAT Score (from PSAT): Math: 520 Critical Reading: 560 Writing: 570 Estimated SAT Score Total: 1650 and my ring finger is distinctly longer than my index, but I'm pretty even on them all.
  13. I already mentioned it in our "open forum" digression in literature class. Somone brought it up, and we got into a big discussion. I don't want to take the DT, because I will be kicked of as student government president if I get it. That would suck, I worked hard for that. :(
  14. I actually thought it was a long-belated yahoo april fools joke at first. Devoting your whole life to analyzing the comparison between finger lengths and SAT scores, lovely what I have to look forward to, isn't it?
  15. I just saw that on yahoo, didn't even bother to click on it, it looked like a load of BS, I'll read it later.
  16. I'm going to bump this up again because she is going to give me a detention to morrow, if I don't remove the video, which I flat-out won't. Who was it that there was an orgainzation that will sen a letter to the school about it? I remember reading that somewhere.
  17. I'm going to bump this, but disguise it as a "Thanks for the support, guys!" comment. Thanks for the support!
  18. Woah, ummm... don't listen the above person... :uhh:
  19. Your little puppy should be fine, but you shouldn't purposely feed them pork or chicken bones, as they do splinter. If your dog stars couching like, horribly, then you should see a vet.
  20. ^I'm not sure what you are getting at. Are you going to combat that, restate it for truth, what?
  21. I think you may have "letters to the editor" confused with a "Q & A", or maybe I do? Versus: I would still like to see this feature, but don't let it be flooded with only questions about the identity of the editor, please.
  22. Technically...yes. :-$ (My parents are fine with it though, so, meh.)
  23. 1) Do you mean just plain out scream? 2)If they are those licht, plastic coins, use a leafblower from behind the curtains :D
  24. I would enjoy some "letters to the editor", but having them three out of four weeks, with a times only once a month would get kind of boring to me, after a while. My suggestion would be, if the Times went to be once a month, I would prefer letters to the editor once a week, instead of thrice. That would leave two weeks to fill with whatever. Maybe "guest article" week, once a month, and one week with something else. My Idea: Week one: Guest Article Week Week two: Letter's to the editor Week three: Whatever, maybe just white noise while we all wait for the times article? Week four: The Editor's Times article. How would that be?
