---------------------------------------------------- Explanation of convo: I was talking with a friend about price changes in stuff, like guthans. And this guy came to said he could trim armour with lvl 51 smith. I ignored him and chatted with a friend whose grave was worth 500k - the angel of death gravestone. the scammer insisted that he could train armour with lvl 51 smith and 82 mining. he soon gave up on trimming armour and asked to wield another guy's dharok axe - that guy had full dharok. okay, now the scammer turns to me and asks to wear my party hat for a few secs. he claims he's a jagex mod. here's where i made my mistake. with my friend beside me, and after he having attempted to scam those around me, i began to get impatient and switched to teasing the scammer. i joked with my friend that i was a jagex mod as well ... and asked for the scammer's password. there ... and a passerby reported me immediately after seeing that i had a red partyhat. i believe that conversation / evidence was not complete and was authored. to frame me lol. it was "cut off" right after "dont report me" because the next thing i said was "im jkin" ... i'm sure the mod did read that. what's wrong with being rich? ---------------------------------------------------- There ... I got FIVE black marks for imitating a scammer who claimed that he was a jagex mod. IMITATING. joking with a friend and teasing a scammer ... and i got five black marks with six days mute. I'm not angry about the mute punishment. I'm furious however, that they denied my appeal within two minutes, and gave me an earlier trade restriction. I have 300m+ locked in my account now ... I'm buying santas ... but they are going for 19. 5 to 20.5 when the "market price" jagex assumes santas to be are 21.5+ i'm buying two santas. so that means paying four million more. i'm being punished for something i did not do? Password scamming? My foot ... FOUR years of clean slate, of zero marks, and this is what i get for my first time? Five marks for innocence? Only five black marks? You are insanely lucky. The last (bold) part of the evidence should have given you an instant and permanent ban.

Powerleveling's been a service on those RWT sites for as long as I can remember. It's actually potentially safer than gold buying, because the RWT sites would lose customers due to complaints about lost accounts is they stole the peoples' accounts. Also, it's really easy to track the trades, but Jagex might not give the player an insta-ban for having logged in and playing 24/7 for a week or so.. Then again, maybe they would. :P But it's just about as safe, anyway. The sites don't scam people for gold, so why would they scam them for accounts?

The thing is, there is no more way to reliably RWT. If they were getting rid of pures, what's with the trade update?

They just can't make millions an hour by fighting.

Considering all the people spamming that, I'm not that surprised. I've seen that ~25 times in the last few days. People posting things like that have almost killed my *legit* rant about 50 times. Keep it to the sticky. And don't copy-paste others' work. Please? Right now, people doing things like that make the rants forum a spam forum. Not a very desirable place.

Try using Firefox and see of that does anything. Or try a P2P server, like already said. After that, upgrade your computer. Seriously. That thing is worse than the one I had 7 years ago. :shock:

And now the story: Yesterday, 8 December 2007, 8 pm my time, it was time: Multi Site Steel Wars 3! I was on the last one (With my Main that is) and as soon as I saw this post, I was really excited about it. Well, since I'm 1 Defense, I have to wear Iron, even though it's the Steel Wars, ohwell :XD: Made my Iron Armor myself, I want the best Armor, and did everything for the Green myself (together with Aggie that is) since I want the Greenest Green. Nothing good enough for Tip.It. I went to grab my SoS Boots (Fighting ones) and the Leather Gloves, I picked up from the ground from someone who just died, this had to be good :D Also had an Iron Scimitar, is good with the Outfit. And then it was time. To be honest... I'm a Pure, and it's the first real time I went in the Wilderness... Here is a picture from when I entered: Got the Swordies from Sir Hartlar, thanks dude, better then my Salmon Now I was just waiting in the Ruined Castle when I got there. Surrounded by my fellow Tip.Iters. Almost didn't see a single different Cape. Good job killing them all :thumbsup: I must say, some of the fellow Tip.Iters are real noobs aswell -.- Here comes the fighting part: I still wasn't skulled, it's hard to fight some levels 80 when you're a level 51, lol. So I was just waiting, and suddenly, I had a visit from my good friend: Genie. Well, this was fun, I was ready to get some free Hitpoints Experience, but looks like some people were jealous... And some Green Capers started attacking me. I was able to escape, you should be ashamed attacking me in the first place, and you should be even more ashamed you weren't able to kill me, lol. Then I was on my new place, being able to use my Lamp, getting my inventory full food from people who died, and just waiting. A bit later, I went back to the centre to see if some friends were there. And this time, I got attacked again without reason... Someone started yelling 'Tip.It on 51'. Hello!, I have a name you know... 4 or 5 people started attacking me, you should be ashamed. But again, you should be even more ashamed you weren't able to kill me. Lol again. I moved again, getting new food, and waited again. A nice level 53 was near me aswell (Don't know the name anymore). But he got attacked several times aswell, poor guy, but lol, he didn't die either. And he got called a 'CapeSwitcher' for no reason. He got attacked by some people, and away he went. He wasn't capeswithing btw. A bit later, a Green Caper named 'Zogroach' called my a CapeSwitcher aswell. If he reads this, I'm not a CapeSwitcher! You should be ashamed, but even more ashamed because you couldn't kill me, lol! Guess he just wanted a kill. Xanotex later came protecting me Anywho, by now I was skulled, and I left. While walking away, I saw a victim, 'Should I do it?' 'What do I have to loose?' 'Full Iron' 'I'll do it!'. And I attacked him, and killed him. Mith Longsword and 1.5k Iron Arrows. Well, Mitril is better then Iron, so 'Whee!'. It must have been the adrenaline... But I went back to the Castle to get more kills, not banking... Oooh... Getting some more food, no one around my level, so I went to the Hill Giants, picked up 2 Str pots in my way there. I was just standing there, and suddenly... 'Eeh? Is that...?' 'Yes it is!' A Rune Scimitar appeared on the floor next to me! And I picked it up. Together with the Teleport Runes, Yeah... A ranger started attacking me, 1 level below me, I sipped my Pot, and started hitting (owning?) him: 10, 8, ... And so on. Suddenly, 16 'Wow, I can hit that high? :shock: ' An 11, 13, and he teleports, aw, but that was cool! Back to the castle, I needed food... Yes I went to get my food in Level 48 Wilderness. Weird-o... Back to the Hill Giants, some attacking, some running. And then, again? Yes, again! Another Rune Scimitar appeared! Picked it up, and off I went. I went in with Full Iron, I came out with: 2 Rune Scimitars, Mitril Longswords, Power and Str Ammy, 1.5K Iron Arrows, Teleport Runes, and a few junkie things. It was great :D And here is my first Player Kill ever: Lucky! :o :shock: And too bad that people tried to kill you. Shouldn't they recognize your name? -.-

In the interest of defending level 3 mods: Level 3. You probably know who this is.. And don't discriminate against mods in general. Please. Assuming your best friend in RuneScape just became a mod, would you delete them because of it? Most likely not. Would you hate them forever? Most likely not.. Unless you're kind of insane. -.- Just remember that there's a person behind the crown. Don't be like the level 4 at Lumby yesterday. :(
