  1. Open Command Prompt and type "ping http://www.runescape.com". Does it get through?
  2. As a mod myself, I try to act as an ambassador for Jagex as much as I can. If I get overwhelmed, I don't call people noobs or swear.. I just add them to my ignore list. I try to act as much like a normal player as I can unless I need to use my mod powers.. And even then, I normally just throw off players who are rude to me. If they're rude enough to warrant a mute, I mute them. Simple. And on the other extreme, I don't really like it when people worship me. Even if I just muted an advertiser bot, the removal of the bot is all the reward I need.. Not a bunch of newbies following me around. (Half of them ask for free stuff too. :-k) My point of view may be biased because I am a mod, but I don't think we deserve any really special recognition. However, we don't need to be universally hated.. Stereotyping is one of the things I hate most. Especially when it's directed at me. :( Just remember I'm a player.. Not a god, a machine or a punching bag.
  3. You probably have a moderate level of addiction.. But don't we all? (28-35 hours/week is definitely addicted in a way) Personally, my parents are really chewing me out about my RuneScape addiction. I play about 10 hours/week at the most.. I think you should cut down a bit.. Get to where your real life is bigger than your RuneScape life, at least. Then you'll probably be fine.
  4. [hide=Quote Wall] Pretty old, but nonetheless still funny. That must have hurt for the reciever if (s)he got damaged hahahaha! =D Jagex... What have you done... Get a room you two! [/hide] ..I'm seriously getting tired of these pics, however "interesting" they may be..
  5. Because WoW has better graphics. Java games are for geeks. [/sarcasm] Because people who call us nerds can't be better than us at RuneScape, so they try to be better than us in real life. Too bad we don't have an ignore list there. :P And because they said so.
  6. Thanks. I don't get on much though because of school, so it might take a (long) while.
  7. Vista has better OS graphics, is almost as secure with good software, and a Vista PC costs about half the price for much better components (3gb RAM, Athlon 64 X2 4800+, 22" LCD for $700: My dad's new PC). And we can run Mac OS. It's just that Apple is so scared of people figuring out that it's possible that they make it illegal for anyone to actually do it.. Unlike Microsoft. I saw a video of someone doing it though. And we have more software and games, and common sense. Did you know Mac OS X ships with its firewall off, and doesn't ever tell users to use it or install antivirus software? Go to System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall to check.
  8. Haha from level 60-70, I got 1k tickets, then did wildy course for a few, agility = 70 in no time ^_^ But I'm only 47, and the difference between 47 and 60 is much greater than between 60 and 70 in terms of how often I fail obstacles. :P
  9. Try this: Press Ctrl-Shift-Esc, Click "processes", go to your browser process, right-click, and set the priority to "high".
  10. I am 100% sure it is a virus. I downloaded it on a Mac, and scanned it with Jotti: [hide=Big image][/hide] Plus, McAfee SiteAdvisor closed the window on me. :-s If you did download it, delete it completely, and whatever you do, do not run it. And here's McAfee's take on it: http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_138897.htm Essentially, it gets you to buy their product to fix errors that don't exist. It was interesting to see it "scanning" the Windows XP system files on my Mac though.. :XD:
  11. Essentially, it means your graphics chip doesn't meet the minimum requirement. Intel's integrated graphics are really bad.. That's about all I can say...
  12. I'll do it by 25 or 100 at a time. Waiting for 1k tickets would actually cost me xp overall because the higher my level is, the faster I get them. When I have 70 or 80 agility it might be different, but I still fail the lvl40 obstacles a lot, so I need to get my level up really high really fast.
  13. Eww, IE6? :ohnoes: Nice mining level though. Pwns mine. :P
  14. Wow, thanks everyone! I'm at agility arena right now, and I'll trade in my tickets after I get 100. That should get me a few levels.
  15. I have to agree. That or make her go to the makeover mage for a bit.
  16. Prayer pots, agility arena/barbarian course, and master farmers.

    He's crafting, not running..
  18. I think that the minimap area is so outdated that redoing the entire right side of the screen wouldn't be a bad idea. The minimap is one of the oldest pieces of the game interface.
  19. You were talking to Paul about me?!?! :o
  20. I'll figure out how to do it... sooner or later.
