Guide to making $$ in F2P.( pking, merch and more)
Try to use 100% correct grammar and spelling, and also add some pics. Not that bad, but you should also include how to merchant.. It's far better money.

Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
Wow, Paul Gower is on your friends list?! It looks more like it's edited today. Not trying to accuse cannnicus, just my opinion. bad quality :-# Doesnt got to be AMAZING quality, How many people in the world have the name Paul? :? Some people DO have short names like that on RS, believe it or not. :-s Well, since Paul was one of the two guys who created the game... :-k

Someone spilled coffee again? Some logging servers offlin..
Agreed. Not to mention, they would have booted everyone politely, warning us about a server update. Interesting ... as I'm (sadly) not a RuneScape Classic player I should be getting "Unexpected server response". I suspect there's definitely some Classic players who can go online though which is why those servers have players listed. Maybe those that can get online have their accounts stored a login server that is still reachable from the Internet. Meh ... agreed it's all speculation, until we see something official, which I strongly suspect will likely be at the same time we see the servers come up too. What worries me more is the spreading of wild rumours, rather than well reasoned guesses based on good observation (MechScape ... *sigh* ... come on people *if* that's indeed being developed by Jagex, it's an entirely different game and will have it's own infrastructure). We can only sit back and post on Tip.It meanwhile which is holding up admirably under unbelievable pressure from the player community. Regards, Fey. Problem is Tip.It apparently needs new servers... It's acting like I have 28.8k dial-up with a bad modem. But I'm not Classic either. I signed up 2 years ago this Saturday, as a matter of fact. I normally get "Unable to login. That is not an RS-Classic account." That webpage is waay out of date.. It's back up now though! :D

Probably not the Grand Exchange.. They would post an announcement on the main page, and it wouldn't take several hours.. I just hope they're able to put the Grand Exchange online... :| And they'd have RSC online too.

1.) I think it was 75 2.)I wen't from 75-99 all at once, it took about a month or so. 3.) the potions last quite a long time, I only used a few K's worth. About half of them were donated, Normal energies work just fine though, there cheaper and still last forever (it only takes 15 seconds to bank). I timed it at exactly 52k an hour with never failing and constant run, and no distractions (standing around). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ SO, I just got back from my friends 17th birthday party, I think I scored a few points with the girls at my school which is nice. Her step dad is hte biggest jerk ever though! The bonfire that we were making in a big bowl thing wasn't really going well so I went up to Kroger and bought a 4$ thing of lighter fluid, came back, put some on, got the fire going, and her stepdad see's me do this and takes it from me, I never saw it again   . He also kept giving me the evil eye whenever he saw me. Other then that, awesome evening :D Nice evening.. :P What course should I use to 75 for the fastest xp?

Almost Got Scammed? Want To Tell Your Story? Post It Here!
No, it's completely different from the real mod invite message. However, I have seen e-mail scams which use the message you get when you become a mod word for word, so it's not unheard of mods helping with those things.

By the way, if you don't mind, could you answer a couple quick questions? -At what level do you stop failing Ape Atoll agility obstacles? -About how many hours will it take to get to that level from 42 agility, and what's the best way? -How much will it cost for super energy pots to use Ape Atoll all the way to 99? (Thinking of going to 99 agility.) :P

Same with Vista's User Account control. Anything requiring admin access (Installing programs, for example) requires you to confirm it. Also, Wakka can't use the official RuneScape client with Linux... :|

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... =M975-3260 My friend has a computer that is identical to this accept its a different brand of processor and this one has a screen that is slightly bigger. It seems to have just about everything i need on it. I'll just need to go buy a good mouse and possibly get a 500gb+ external harddrive for christmas (I DL alot of stuff lol). Anyone think this a good choice? I'm thinking of ordering it this evening because I can fully afford this one. This looks like a good computer, but the processor isn't the best: I would recommend a 5000-series processor at the minimum, unless you don't need that much processing power. Otherwise it looks good. MAKE SURE that you are ok with the processor, because it is almost impossible to upgrade. Otherwise, it looks good, especially in the screen. I don't think it has FireWire though, which is something definitely worth considering before you buy it...:| Most of my other concerns have already been said though. I'll look up some other possible computers when I get home. what about this one?: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... CatId=2511 It has all the same specs (for the most part), its not a refurbished computer, and its only about 100$ more. Also, I have no idea what a 5000-series processor is :XD: The processor on the first one is the T2350, which is in Intel's 2000-series. It's about the lowest end processor you can get, which is pretty bad. I would recommend something around the T5200 at the minimum, or AMD's TL-59 or TL-60. A good choice would be This one. It costs $1300, but has a good processor, *really* good graphics if you ever want to play any 3d games, dual hard drives, which allow insanely fast drive access, a 1-year warranty, and a 17-inch widescreen (HP's LCD screens are really good). If you're not in this casually and actually want to get a computer to last quite a few years, something like that one above would be a good bet.

well Mac's seem to be more of a media station which is more of what I'm looking for. The only game I'll be playing on it is RS, but I need it to run my music, a movie, and have the ability to browse the web all at once. My current PC can do this but its getting very old and very slow, it takes me about 10-15 minutes to get all my programs up and running now. I'd like to have a portable PC to take on trips with me for music/music/RS. Windows Media Center is really good for what you want and is a lot more full-featured than Apple's Front Row, and you get it with Vista Home Premium, which you should get with a computer in that price range. Macs are more secure to a newbie, but if you have any knowledge at all, and stay away from bad sites and keep a good security software suite installed, Windows is just as secure. I've never been hacked, and I go Windows all the way. Good security software, common sense, and a 20-character obscure password (Which I assume you have) should be good enough. They were for me. Moreover, Macs are completely dumbed down for newbies. Almost everything is so painfully simple that it's insanely frustrating to someone (Like me) who actually is pretty good with computers. Also, in my experience, Vista's Aero interface is much better than the Mac one. Much smoother and more elegant, and that's on a cheap computer, too. A ~$2,000 laptop should be even better than mine, which is saying a lot. Also, I made a comparison between a MacBook and my mom's new ~$1,100 Sony laptop a while back. The screen was the same, the MacBook won (barely) in processor, and the Sony won in RAM, hard drive, and graphics. And they were about the same price. You should get a lot more for your money with a Windows laptop. Important: I tried playing RuneScape on the MacBook my school lets me use. Assuming you use Firefox instead of Safari (Firefox is waaaay better), there are several problems: Namely when switching between tabs with the keyboard (Which you can't do in Safari) with ctrl-tab, the screen glitches until you manually click on the tab. Not good. In addition, holding down a key in RuneScape (Including Backspace) doesn't register, so you have to manually press it each time you want to delete a letter. If you mistype a sentence, you're really dead.. Takes 10-20 seconds to delete it instead of 2. I would NOT advise playing RuneScape on a Mac. Also, my Mac crashed a lot more than my PC ever has, and it didn't even tell my why - it told me "You need to reboot your computer." When my Windows computer crashes, it gives me a specific error code so I can find out what's wrong. These messages may seem cryptic, but "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME" (When my PC's hard drive crashed) is a lot better than a folder with a question mark (When my Mac's hard drive crashed). Also, my windows PC actually had a reason for crashing - a company that didn't write good wireless drivers.. :| One computer I would recommend would be the HP dv2500t, which, with the recommended configuration and a bit of customizing, costs ~$1900-$2000. That's with a LOT of upgrades, as well.. Look at his current layout. He already does this. Gratz on 96 farming btw. [/hide]Thanks ALOT for this, the main concern I have with a laptop is the screen size. You've seen my layout on the homepage but I'm wondering if that same layout would work on a laptop that has a 2 inch or more less on the screen size. Would changing ther resolution make it smaller so I can fit it all? If I can get something cheaper than 2000$ it would be nice, I've been looking at PC's that were 1200-1500 because thats much more affordable for me currently. 2000$ was more of a high end price I was looking at but would take me a while to save up for. also, I don't use a browser to play rs in, I use the official RS client because its small and doesn't have all the clutter, its much easier to fit onto the screen I use. I use firefox for videos and surfing however. You can't use the official RS client on a Mac, because it uses the Internet Explorer framework. If screen size is what you're worried about, though, a laptop will have a smaller physical screen size, but will still have a better resolution than your current desktop. No worries there. For price, I would look in the Sunday advertisements in your newspaper for bargains, that's where you get the best prices. You can get a pretty good computer there for an unbeatable price, although selection is limited. I personally prefer HP/Compaq computers, but other brands like Sony and Gateway are good as well. I would look for a processor a few steps down from the manufacturer's highest end one, such as an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 or an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58. Also, if you buy from a local store, you can try the computer before you buy it. It should be much, much better than your current one, probably taking about 7-10 seconds at most to load Firefox, the RS client, and a video player.

November 13th: Guaranteed Content Poll - Graphics
Vannaka and TzHaar. Both could use an update, and also seeing that Vannaka is the first combat-related person new players see, this could help a lot..

Merchanters aren't Real Characters
I have made 10-15m from merchanting. I don't rip people off, I just buy at the low end of the current price and sell at the high end. It's a completely honest way of money-making, and I don't see why people hate us merchants so much. :( Seriously... Calm down. ......Right. 1246 total and 6.2m xp is nothing, right? Quit it with your stereotypes. You're just trying to get attention.

Grrr - I was unfairly muted/banned!
No, they do not read every appeal. It's automated. My friend did something terrible on his account, him as the sole owner, Jagex banned hi, he appealed, and he got appealed. "Sure you got a premade message but it's not done by computer" I don't understand...premade in terms of RuneScape CS is automated...automated is done by a computer system... Being a Forum mod and Jagex Customer support work in two completely different ways. Don't expect that you are correct in what you say just because you are a forum moderator and nothing more. Specific queries, no matter how many times repeated, should not be given a premade/automated response, since they are not all caused under the same circumstances and factors. Jagex is corrupt in their work. The paying members themselves that give Jagex their time and money get no more support in exchange than that of F2P. If you were Jagex, would you accept this appeal? --Deleted-- I think it's probably automated... Also: Yeah, I'm a player mod also, and when I read this I was surprised as well that you weren't stripped of your title. I think that if a moderator breaks a rule, no matter how minor it is, their mod status should be taken away. No offense Bac_Talan... So you're saying I should be demodded because my immature 9-year-old brother grabbed the keyboard and typed something? [/hide] yes, you are responsible for what goes on your account. also my pmod friend was telling me you arent meant to brag about muting, nice "i have muted under that for many times before" at the top. TBH i think you should be demoted from pmod and either temp banned or muted simply because of them 2 offenses, and also saying "jagex blocks your pass" on your noob acc, because a pmod should know better than that. also bragging about muting. I said he grabbed the keyboard. Not that I gave him the keyboard. Big difference. And why does a brother grabbing the keyboard and saying cyan:@ to help get rid of bots deserve a ban? I already got a 1 day mute for the second part.. And the noob account ban was (I think, this was really long ago) because some guy was saying "Jagex doesn't block your pass, try it!" and I didn't think and contradicted him.. And that was a couple years ago. I wasn't a mod then. Judging by your attitude, I'm kinda glad you got banned from TIF. I saw your post of that appeal in another thread, I am EXTREAMLY worried if you are still a moderator, that type of attitude it totally unfair/ insensitive/ rude. I find any kind of abuse of the whole suicide line in very poor taste. I really do hope that your signature is out of date and you are in fact no longer a moderator, I certainly expect a certain level of professionalism from a community representative. That's not my main account... I heard that kind of appeal worked and I tested it on a different account. I don't ever seriously use that kind of attitude toward others. I can assure you that, when I represent Jagex ingame, I try to be as professional as possible.

Luring vs. Backstabbing-The same?
Luring- Tricking someone into the wilderness so you can kill them. They have no intentions of bringing their items into the wilderness. Backstabbing- Attacking someone who is already in the wilderness so you can kill them. They had every intention of bringing their items into the wilderness. Main difference is that when you backstab someone, they intended to bring their items into the wilderness..

Spyware and Malware help
A rootkit is software that hides other software on your computer. If you know you have one, delete it. I would use Spybot, Ad-Aware, and Spy Sweeper. The first two are free, and the third one has a free trial.
