  1. Ignoring works sometimes. It never worked for me (elementary school here), and I had to settle it the hard way. One of them decided to smart off to me a lot that day, so he started yelling. I told him to come to my face, he did, and so I busted him in the nose. [hide=Short Story]If you don't feel confident about it, Martial Arts, Wrestling, Boxing, that sort of thing is great. Back in the 6th grade, there were a few guys doing their routine of taunting me and my friends (after I fought the guy; they kind of ignored me after that). Well, one of my friends told them to go away. So, they started shoving him and stuff. Then he said something, and after his friends had left, a guy stayed and started to threaten my friend because of what he had said. Back then, he was a little guy, so he was a target pretty much. Well, this guy took a swing, my friend jumped around and dodged it, tripped the guy, and when he got up, spun around and put his elbow into the guy's nose. Really hard. Knocked him off of his feet and down the small incline they were on. He got up, and his mouth and nose were covered in blood were he was hit so hard. Turns out my friend had been in Martial Arts for a few years. It helped him ;)[/hide] Yeah. Ignoring works sometimes. Going to a higher authority almost never works. At least, it never worked for me. The counselor always said, "Well, just try to get along and don't fight . . .", and the principal always said, "Get over it. Don't fight.", and the teachers always pretended they would talk to them but never said a word. If you're in that situation, it's best just to handle it yourself in my opinion.
  2. Hate to draw attention away from TIF, but the Xbox Forums (E3 '08 section) is full of rants about the new dashboard. Doesn't look like anyone's too happy about it...
  3. Is it just me, or does it seem like Microsoft is just trying to follow in the Wii's footsteps of attracting a more casual audience? I really don't like the new interface's looks. I like the changes of the Disc Copying and the Party system, but the new interface looks like crap.
  4. I got my phone when I was 14. 15 now. My sister (12 at the time) was begging for one. So when they went to get her a phone, they decided to get me one too. I never really use it for anything but making the occasional call and every now and then I'll use it if I'm over at a friend's house. Usually I just leave it off though. I'd say as long as you have a reason to have one and you use it, you should have one. I really don't think anybody under 10 should have one though. The youngest person I've ever saw with one was a second Grader. That's a 7 year old I think. Or a 6 year old. She had a Pink Razr, and she was texting one of her 'friends'. I know because someone else was asking her if it was her phone >.>
  5. As soon as my friend mentioned it would be a PS3 exclusive, I said 'It'll be on the 360.' Looks like I was right  I might give it a try. It looks decent, but after FF 12, I dunno. It was ok, but it could've been done much better.
  6. Google the company name, and see if they have a website. If they do, and they have a customer support department, then send a query there, try to find out the solution to your problem, or find an address to mail it in to. If you still have the warranty, that's pretty important.
  7. That's Microsoft for you ;) Too bad XBL doesn't get the updates. It won't stop me from playing though...it's an insanely fun game. There's few things funner than backstabbing an engineer, blowing someone apart with a minigun, or putting explosives on the very corner of a wall XD
  8. [hide=Quote Wall] K, this is how it's gonna work. We are gonna put you, and everyone else who wants to go along too, on a boat to an island. It is here where you will create your own society, with your own views, since it seems that you can't accept something that is clearly natural. Oh, and I'm sure there will be no sex or reproduction on that island because most females probably share the same viewpoint as Goddess. kthxbai. Ah, but one having their own views and opinions is clearly natural too, therefore, shouldn't you be put on boat? Why should people who have different opinions be condemned to live in solitude with each other away from society? Personally, I think mothers should go to the bathroom and take care of baby business there. Some places even have designated mothers rooms, how nice : [/hide] I don't think he was being literal about the boat. #-o I think he means that everyone else in the world believes breastfeeding is ok, especially mothers. He's just saying that it's a natural thing to do, and they shouldn't be told to go somewhere else to feed their baby. He also implied that if you don't learn, soon, that it's ok, then you're not going to be very popular among the ladies because "they share the same viewpoint as Goddess."
  9. Debating whether to go make a Hot Pocket, listening to Rush, browsing TIF, might get on the Xbox later, and am now more seriously debating that Hot Pocket. "Mom! More Hot Pockets!!"
  10. I really don't think you have to download anything to create a Windows Live Account. Are you sure Microsoft didn't ask you to download a program? If they did, most email providers have the option not to install their programs or toolbars.
  11. I prefer to have a versatile character in TES games. My character right now is primarily a powerhouse, but if I need to, I can equip and use Light Armor, Daggers, and I even know a few Restoration spells and can cast a few low/medium Destruction spells. That way I can just do whatever I feel like. Then again, I'm pretty much limited to blades or magic. I'm not trained for any other weapon types :geek:
  12. Point is RB2 ... Was bound to happen .. I caved in and got this game and its bloody epic. Completely different from the guitar hero experince and its aimed at such a bigger group .. And less little prats. Yeah, I've played RB. I don't own it, but I played it when my neighbor had it over. It was fun, but not worth $200 in my opinion. The point I'm saying though is that it seems that they're trying to milk the whole music industry and the whole...whateveryoucallit that Guitar Hero (most recently) started. I think they should focus more on DLC for the games instead of releasing new games. And for the people who don't have internet access, maybe discs for $20 or so with DLC?
  13. Wow, and RB didn't even come out that long ago. I guess they're milking Guitar Hero and Rock Band for all they're worth now..there's a lot of GH games to be coming out. They just released GH: Aerosmith, then they've got GH 4 and the DS one, and there's been rumors of GH: Metallica for 360, PS2/3, and Wii. :geek: And now Rock Band 2? It's starting to get pretty old now. :shame:
  14. The only MMO for the 360 (I think) is Final Fantasy 11..but I heard it's not that good. That's the only next-gen MMO I know of though.
  15. I really don't see the problem with it. I mean, the baby is hungry, she's able to feed him, so she did. Nothing offensive about it. If it disgusted you that bad, you should have ignored it or left.
  16. I dunno what will come next. Maybe some other FPS? If Halo stays though, it might be likely that they might even make a prequel, to cover the events of when we first met the covenant. Or they could go with Halo 4. Either way, Halo 3 will be around for a long time. What, with the Forge, Custom Games, and the huge Xbox Live community. I doubt it's going anywhere.
  17. If I had to pick one, I'd go with Mass Effect. Brilliant story, excellent combat, great graphics, and it's one of the only 20+ hour games I've went through multiple times.
  18. Me and my friends, around 4th + 5th grade, started using the school computers a lot for crap like papers and essays..well, we all ended up getting done quickly, and we did it right. Eventually we kind of saw that the teachers were giving us these weird corrections to let us kill time :P So, from there, we ended up slacking off with the Internet and Solitaire. We always had to use those cheat magazines and stuff for games. When we used the internet, around 6th grade, we would routinely somehow sneak onto our teacher's computer (it was in the back, away from her desk -.-) and look up our cheats from there. :ugeek: About 6th grade also, I started RS. That's when I first used the internet constantly...so much time wasted. I quit in 8th. From then to now I've pretty much used the internet every day..
  19. Gah, does anyone know if 360 users will get the Pyro/Medic updates? I love TF2..but I dunno if my computer can handle it or not. I've got it on 360 anyways.
  20. Heh, I remember the big Furbie thing. My sister's friend next door got a furbie for her birthday. About 3 months later, it had been broken to where it wouldn't stop talking. So, Me, her, and my sister ended up digging a hole in her back yard and burying the furbie there. Hilarious..we could still hear it talking by the time we were done
  21. Final Fantasy 10 Half Life 2 + Episodes 1 & 2 + Portal + Team Fortress series
  22. Heh, I was born in '93. Man, I miss the old Nickelodeon. Best Cartoons that were ever made..Doug, Catdog, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy..not to mention Kenan & Kel. Of course, Kenan went big. He's on SNL now. Now all they have is different cartoons that last for a month or so. I also remember the big Pokemon Craze..LOL! I was maybe anywhere from 5 - 7 then. To this day, I still have 400+ Pokemon Cards, all 4 original games, and all 3 from second series..Pokemon was great. I've even still got my old Gameboy Color. The 90's were great. Oh, and Nadril, I do remember Surge..it was like concentrated energy. Lol
  23. Hm. Must be on your end..My Firefox 3 is literally loading pages the second I enter them, it's very fast, and the actual program loads within 2 seconds of when I open it... I still think Firefox is better though. When I used IE, I had to keep scanning for spyware over and over and over again. I got Firefox, the Noscript and Adblocker Plus addons for it, and I haven't had a virus/spyware problem since. Well, better end this post. I just got a notification that I have an update for one of my addons ^_^
  24. *urinates in the toilet, like most normal people* Now that that's finished..hopefully this will be less of a fanboy war?
