That computer should meet all of your needs. The only thing I'd advise is to root around NewEgg for a better Video Card..the one Linked above should be almost perfect.
  2. The 360 is worth it...you don't really need many add-ons. I haven't bought a single one yet..if I do, it will be an Intercooler most likely. I've got an ethernet cable going to my room, so I just switch between my computer and the 360. The HD-DVD player is only needed if you want to watch movies...the Wireless adapter is as above, only if you cant get access to the cable.Headset and cable is included. Everything you need is right there. The only extra thing you'll most likely ever buy is maybe the Intercooler..and that's not including Xbox Live or Games. Live is pretty cheap also...it's like, what, 4$ a month or $50 for a 12-month card?
  3. Halo 2: My very first no-scope..and I'm not even going for sniper o.o Halo: *SPOILERS* Going through the ending sequence with the Warthog and then seeing the Pelican get shot down..that was an 'Oh crap..' moment for me Half Life 2: Ducking behind a car on Highway 17 as a Gunship shot at me, blasting debris, glass and dirt everywhere. I then took my last rocket, shot..and hit it dead on. Then, seeing it spiral towards the highway in a last effort to crush me, I jumped out of the way..only for it to miss me entirely and land where I was hiding, crushing the cars I was hiding near. THAT was epic. Oblivion: Crawling through the start-of-the-game Imperial City Sewers in an escape from the prison, turning the corner, and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Just knowing that I was about to see Cyrodill was amazing. Then, arriving outside and seeng the mountains in the distance, a long forest stretching between me and it, and then turning slightly and seeing the imperial city on an island tucked in a lake between the mountains was amazing. Guild Wars: Fighting through the Ice Caves of the Northern Shiverpeaks and then seeing the golden light of the sun shining over Kryta..I'd finally gotten to Kryta.
  4. Well, I know what I'm gonna read when I've got spare time..thanks!
  5. Alright, it's me again. The annoying guy with too many questions and too little patience to go online and look them up :D Anyways. Well, I made a profile for Xbox Live recently. Stupid me decides to give my real age and it's made a child profile..(14?! What the heck?! I'm not a child, Microsoft!) Normally I wouldn't care. Except for the fact that I can't access MSN/Windows Live Messenger through Xbox Live now because of my age (even though I already use it on both computers..and Microsoft knows that ) ...so..my question is, when this 1 month gold trial is over, can I delete my current gamertag, make a new one, and then go ahead and buy Xbox Live and create a new Gamertag? PS: My tag is The Adaminator if you want to laugh in my face for my stupidity..I kinda deserve it right about now :wall: #-o
  6. Halo 3 - I would only really BUY Halo 3 if you have Xbox Live Gold, plan to get it very soon, and plan to have it for quite a while. It's fun..but without XBL, It's kinda not worth buying. Oblivion - A must buy. Go to Gamefaqs and read some of these reviews. If you have a serious interest in the game, I'd suggest buying the Game of the Year Edition..however, if you're short on $$$, then you can buy those xbox points or whatever later on and buy the expansions through the Marketplace on Xbox Live when you're ready.
  7. ..Are there links to the online stuff? I'd be interested in reading those..unless it's illegal, then don't post the links so that you dont get in trouble.
  8. Try reading the stickies. 2 good programs though are Spybot: Search and Destroy and Adaware. AVG Antivirus can also pickup some trojans/spyware..but not as many as the other 2. I'd go with the above 2.
  9. Mines just 75..heh, I really don't see the point in it. But I do like tracking my own achievements.
  10. I'm pretty sure everyone who has played thinks this, lol. I'm with Nadril here
  11. Alright, thanks! Im gonna see if I can't put it in a better spot...if not, I'll just buy the intercooler. Thanks again. Please lock this..I'm done with it :)
  12. Ok, thanks. Just another question..how loud is the Intercooler? I've noticed that the 360 can be loud, but it becomes almost unoticeable after a while..is the intercooler a loud add-on to the 360 or is it quieter?
  13. I tried it standing next to my TV standing up..but it didn't have that much room around it, it's a crowded space. I put my PS2 there. Should I see if there's a place I can put it somewhere else? And how much is an intercooler? I might buy one if I can keep it where it is.
  14. Ok, so most of you know I recently bought my 360. It's going fine so far..but it's getting quite hot sometimes. Not warm, HOT. I had it standing next to my T V...so I thought that the problem was not enough ventilation space. So I moved it elsewhere..now it is horizontal on top of my VCR. I got done with an Oblivion gaming session (woot)...and decided to check. It wasn't hot at all, barely even warm, on the side facing my ceiling. But then I lifted it up..it was warm on the side sitting on the VCR! I checked, the VCR doesn't vent from the top. So..what's my problem? I have 6" in the back for it to ventilate, everywhere else has a few feet. Does it vent out of the side it's sitting on? Do I need to put it elsewhere?
  15. Get Xbox Live with it and I'd say Yes. I'm having a ball with it.. :P

Honestly, I'd just go buy a new one. You can get the original (Big) PS2s for about $80 at EB Games or Gamestop...probably cheaper at a more local store around you. Repair would probably cost more anyways.
  17. 285 MB RAM should be fine for RS...your Processor is good enough to run it also. Also, has the lagging JUST started? I would perform a virus scan and a spyware scan if that's the problem. But generally, I'd say it's time for a new computer.
  18. The Adaminator I rented Halo 3, and I have 3 days left on it at the time of this post (before turkey day). I have Forza 2 and Halo 2 also.
  19. Prove to them that you're mature enough to play it. I proved it to my parents when I was..what...10 maybe? The first M rated game I played was Vice City if I remember right.
  20. Having just bought it, I'd say go for it. I've already burned music to it, the Dashboard allows you to play music, access xbox live whenever and wherever in a game, and basically do whatever you want to do. It's like a computer in a way...it's great.
  21. Having just got my 360 today (IT ROCKS.)...I'd say it's noisy for about 10 minutes. It's kind of annoying...but once you go through it a couple of times, you have to listen for it to really notice it. It quiets down as you're playing, also.
  22. [hide=Doom 3] Concept: You are in one of the scariest places you could be in...a dark, lonely, unstable space station after it has been brutally attacked. You are one of the few survivors. Gripping your submachine gun closer to your chest...you hear it. You hear the rusty creak of the beat-up door across the room slide open as something walks in. You hear the footsteps of something you can't see. It lets out a low growl...it knows it's not alone. Then, you take the chance. You leap out from behind the corner, and all you see against the opposite wall is sparks lighting up the surroundings. Bullets dance off of the metal walls as you squeeze down the trigger. You hear a loader roar..and then...*click*...you must reload. You hear the beast break apart a wooden beam as it makes it's way towards you as you are fumbling with the clip. Yeah, that's the concept of Doom 3. Survival Horror. You're a Marine on a space station. You're on normal duty on your first day...when something goes wrong. People turn into the undead..demons tear apart the labs...you're left alone to make your way through the facility and find a way out of there. 20/10...nah, 10/10. Graphics: The graphics are amazing for the Xbox. Gunshots flash light off of metal objects, blood spills out as shots connect, demons look as if they could jump right out and kill, doors look as if they were in a warzone, blood is splashed along some areas, indicating a struggle to survive...they're great. 9/10. Gameplay: The game is fairly easy to control. My only complaint is the PDA button....come on, ID, I'm fighting a fricking PINKY DEMON...I dont want to draw out my PDA when I'm trying to reach for my gun!! 8/10 AI: The AI is great. If you walk into a room, almost instantly you see the demons go from looking around for items, to finding strategic places to cover themselves, give you a hard time, and fight effectively. 9/10 It's worth at LEAST renting. OVERALL: 9/10[/hide]
  23. I like the 360 commercials better. Honestly, I think the Ps3 commercials as well as PSP commercials are [developmentally delayed]ed. I don't like the 360's either, but they're better than the PS3's. I do like the Wii commercials though..I kinda laugh everytime I hear 'Wii want to play'...although the 360 is my favorite console.
  24. Post your speedtest results. I'd also goto start -> run and then type 'dxdiag', no ''. Post your system specs. If these aren't the problem...are you running too many background applications? Running IM, having an anti-virus doing background scanning, keeping a firewall running, listening to music, and playing RS at the same time uses a bit of RAM, as an example.
