    1. what do you think my charges will be? fine amount / jail time. just tell me what you think. I'd say you're gonna have a year or five of Jail Time. 2. have you ever been convicted of a crime? if so how serious was it? what happened to you? what did YOU do. Nope. 3. do you think i could ask the judge for community service hours instead of a felony / jail time? but i would still pay the fines? like im talking 1,000+ hours of service. Nope. -------- Anyways. Quite honestly, yeah, you need to go to Jail or whatever punishment you get. You just admitted over the INTERNET of all places that you drove the robbers away with 'The Stolen Goods'. Wow, if the police get ahold of this, you're done for..........sooner
  2. The Bold ones are the ones I consider Classics. The rest are just memorable for some reason. Island of the Blue Dolphins 3/10 Holes 8/10 The Giver 1/10 The Outsiders 8/10 The Hobbit 10/10 Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 8/10 The Diary of Anne Frank 9/10 The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers 9/10 Flowers for Algernon 10/10 The Gadget 7/10 Dragon's Bait 6/10[/b] Teen Angst? Naaahhh... 8/10 Be More Chill 9/10 Its Kind of a Funny Story 9/10 I hilighted Flowers for Algernon because, honestly, it was one of the best books I've ever read besides The Hobbit. It was amazing..I was always wondering what would happen next. It will definitely be a Classic in a few years. I Hilighted the LOTR Series because they are definitely classics. I picked the Hobbit as my Favorite...it's just an amazing book. I picked The Giver as my Least Favorite..because, I'm sorry, it just flat out sucked.
  3. That's the one thing I REALLY hate about Microsoft..they're abusing the average user, in a way. Yes, they do care about their operating systems. But, would they rather delay their latest OS and fix everything, or release it early, and make money off of new computers with their new OS installed? Big businesses, no matter what, are after money. Microsoft, for one, isn't taking all of that extra time to fix bugs for one simple reason...money. Your average user believes that 'Hey, this is the latest and greatest..I better get it'. Whenever a bug happens, they pay tech support to fix it, or they buy a new computer. They won't switch OSes, because oftentimes, people are too scared to try something new. And yes, before I get flames, this is very, very true. Apple also has these sorts of problems..but not so much. You don't hear about Macs crashing near as much because, from obsservations, Apple probably hires smarter, better, more dedicated programmers. Ever noticed how there are no Macs at places like Wal-Mart? It's because they want retailers who can help you with your Mac problems AT THE STORE. But even though they take extra measures like this, they still have errors. Nobody is perfect. It's almost impossible to release new software without having bugs or errors. But bugs and errors can easily be prevented..and can bring the dream of the 'Perfect Software' Even closer. So yeah...my basis behind all of the bugs and errors is Greed..the want for Money.
  4. Well, at least since you're using Win98SE, you don't need so much RAM for the main OS or much anything else, but the hard disk size is going to get you (You could use something a little larger, like 20 GB)... That and the video card (32 MB FTW?) and possibly a potential need for a slightly quicker CPU (Like 500 MHz) ........... But other than that, you're definitely fine. :) On the other hand (and to get back on-topic), I still have yet to hear what RazorAce's OS and ISP are... :-k ...once I know, I'll be able to go to the right spot in my brain. <*Walks out, dizzy and overloaded... He'll be back later, looking for RazorAce's reply.*> ~Mr. Devnull Lol, There's no way I'm going to upgrade this thing. It's about to die as it is...Windows is taking up so much stuff, I'm just booting off of the DS Linux Live CD anymore.
  5. I'm using the Compact Menu with Redshift V2 theme, no Menu Bar...as shown in the first screenshot. Leaves TONS of viewing space. And with small icons enabled, its even smaller.
  6. She had a Sket Shooting license, for one. Getting that license is a sign of knowledge of how to safely use and handle a firearm, and having the utmost responsibility doing so. As for the Shells, there were 2 unopened boxes in the back of her car. She clearly said that she had a busy schedule with the Clay shooting...and I don't doubt that. It's a time-consuming activity. Besides, the Shells were locked away in her car, and there was no Shotgun around, let alone *A* gun, to fire the shells. I say they overreacted to the ammunition. As for smoking, do what they will.
  7. Ok, let me summarize. -Switched CD drives to CD-RW -DSL boots fine. -Puppy USED to boot right up (On CD-RW)...but now it skips and doesnt boot. -Before I switched drives, Puppy would start to boot, but then freeze during startup. Yeah, I have another computer. Much better one...lol...this one's like, 1 year old maybe. I'll reboot and try in here.
  8. You'll be fine. I used to play RS (USED TO...now this computer's in my room, barely playing RS) on the following: 433 mhz Intel Celeron Processor (ack, Intel >.<) 160 MB RAM 56.6 Kbps Dial-up internet (I have a good broadband connection now) 4 GB HD Space 8 MB Integrated Video Card Windows 98 Second Edition ....yeah....I'm CERTAIN that if I used to play RS on THAT...yours will be perfectly capable
  9. The Ring of Death is fixed by calling Microsoft for a brand new 360. Free. No charge. Only time. Overheating, I'm not exactly sure but it's probably the same as the RoD. And I'm pretty sure if you don't play 40 hours straight, it won't overheat. As for damaged discs, they're coming closer to fixing this problem. Even then, I think you can still use resurfacing tools to fix it. Even then, I'd rather spend my hard-earned money on a good console, all the while taking a small chance at console failure, than buy a console which doesnt perform near as well as the company claims it can (PS3).
  10. Well, your computer is pretty much optimized for the game. I don't really have another suggestion..but is anything eating away at available RAM? Are you running different applications in the background while playing? If you're not, try a spyware scan. Hate to say so, but quite a few good anti-viruses dont pick up spyware. Try Spybot-Search and Destroy...or Ad-Aware. If you find a bunch of spyware listings, there you go. Spyware eats away at RAM like no tomorrow. If you dont have any spyware...I'd just say go to a different server, or make a temporary switch to high detail.
  11. Reality Check: NOD32 is an antivirus, Not a FireWall. (Ugh, I just realized the 'Star Trek pun'. d'oh! ...) Did you mean to recommend ZoneAlarm for the FireWall? Eh? ~Mr. Devnull That was a weird night, lol. Yeah, I did mean to say Zonealarm. I was thinking about NOD32 at the time though...so..I guess I mistyped or something. For Anti-virus, I say go with whatever you want. I'd go with AVG, Norton, NOD32...whatever you think seems good I suppose.
  12. XP SP 2 Runs fine on 1 GB Ram. I even hear t runs acceptable at 256 MB RAM. Heck, I have 448 MB RAM and It's running smooth. I REALLY don't suggest the downgrade to SP 1. Yes, it's still Windows..so it's still vulnerable unless you have and know how to use the right software...but Downgrading to SP1 at this point is about like posting an ad on the internet saying 'I have no security on my computer...gimmee your worst'. It's not a RAM issue.
  13. I'm not sure. My dad was the one that burned the ISO...we had been wanting to try Puppy on mine for a while, and he got around to burning it. We switched out the CD-Drives, because my former drive had some problem reading certain parts of discs..therefore we could not boot puppy at all through that one, although it ALWAYS recognized the disc and started to boot. I dunno, I'll see about that..thanks

...I take it this is the Pokemon online game thing...? Uhh...yeah, I HEARD about it....but I decided to ignore it.....
  15. *Gets back up* *dusts self off* *PHEW* Well, I just got rammed by a Wall of Text. *Angrily shakes fist as he throws tags at the wall* Anyways. I REALLY think he's over exaggerating. The whole 'The world's gonna end by 2012' crap is just that..crap. [hide=Completely Unrelated Rant]I dont know the full story behind the 2012 theory, but who cares if the Mayan calendar only went to 2012? They're normal humans. Saying that the mayan calendar predicts the world's end is like me saying that if I close my eyes and pick a number, that number is the number of years humanity has left....it's completely ridiculous.[/hide] Well, dont comment on the pointless rant I just made. If you do, the Wall of Text will come after you. Anyways. I seriously doubt that Global Warming would push us back into the Middle Ages or whatever.
  16. Diet Survey 1. How often and how much do you eat Meat/nuts/eggs/fish? Almost every day. 2. " Vegetables? Again, almost every day. 3. " Carbs? Probably as much as meat. 4. " Candy/Junk food? Not a lot of Candy. Not much Junk Food either..but there is some Junk Food every now and then. 5. " Dairy? Not as often. 17. Alright, so I have a CD-RW drive on my computer. Not our main computer, the decent one..but *my* 7 or 8 or 9 year old ancient mummy computer thing. Anyways. I have a CD-RW drive. I'm still running Windows 98 Second Edition....and this old computer still kind of runs like a slug. I scanned for viruses, spyware..and it's getting older and slower. It's clean. Anyways, I've been trying to run the Puppy and (Sorry, I'd rather not say the name) D**n Small Linux Live CDs. I can usually run DSL just fine. But whenever I put in the Puppy Live CD (yes, it's before it has the chance to load Windows), it will say 'Searching for boot record from CD-Rom' and sit for a minute..then skip to floppy and HD, therefore booting Windows. This only happens with the Puppy Linux Live CD. The CD-RW drive is a Memorex CRW 1622...yes, it's ancient  If you could help me, I'd really appreciate it. EDIT: I bet it's time to go rooting around for another CD-RW drive for this old box of dusty parts. Dangit..lol
  18. Goto Tools/add-ons/Themes/Get Themes in the bottom right hand corner. By the way, that particular theme is called Redshift V2 or whatever.
  19. If it's solely a network/internet problem, the only thing I could tell you is go annoy your ISP or something..lol But if it's an overall performance drop, such as your computer is running a LOT slower....scan for viruses/spyware. Yes, it's the generic answer, but one scan can work miracles. Oh..and I doubt it..but have you downloaded any PTP programs lately, such as Limewire? I had Limewire..and because of constant uploading into Limewire, my computer suffered a heavy performance hit. I deleted it, and *insert generic sound effect*!!!! I had my old computer back ^_^ Seriously though, I'd say scan for Spyware.
  20. Well they were most defently lying about playing runescape on a psp. The psp does not support Java, does not meet the minimum requirements, and does not have a high enough screen resolution. Meh, I heard them talking about playing it on the PSP. I doubted it too...but I've never owned a PSP..lol, shows what I know :wall:

You can do whatever you want..as Nadril said, you don't need to know C to move on to C++. Myself, I'm going to learn Visual Basic before I move on to C++. You can go with Java, Javascript, CSS, HTML...do whatever you want to do. I'd recommend buying a book or looking at an online guide to help you. There's no real order in which you need to take the classes. Do what you want to do. If I could make a suggestion though, I'd START with BASIC or Visual Basic if you've never programmed anything before. I've learned a whole lot going through a Visual Basic course at school.
  22. Here's my amazing schedule: 6:30 - 6:50 Wake up...wipe off the sleepiness and wake up 6:51 - 7:05 Prepare for school. Watch 5 minutes of the news. 23. Wow...tell me, why are companies like this allowed to do these things? It's a complete and total invasion of privacy.. And the worst part? I knew NOTHING about this until I read this. If I was on Verizon, I'd be pretty ticked if some company like Google ended up with all of my info somehow.
  24. I haven't, I dont own a wii >.< But back when I used to play it, people all over the official Forums were saying 'Im playing RS on my Wii/PSP'...I really dont know how, sorry You could play RS through the Wii, PSP, and the Xbox (using Linux as a desktop on the xbox, however) though...
