What game to choose for my PC?
I have 2 suggestions for you. [hide=Warcraft 3]Warraft 3: Battlechest gives you 2 games..Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, and Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne Expansion Pack...as well as the WC 3 Map Editor..used to create campaigns, scenarios, and even maps for use on Battle.net! It is an RTS, so you control individual units. [hide=Story]You start out the Tutorial as the Orcish Horde...you're controlling Thrall, the Warchief. Throughout the Tutorial, you migrate the Horde into the land of Kalimdor. Now, onto the REAL story :) You are in control of the Humans. Here, I'm going to explain the Human campaign as a whole..there WILL be spoilers. Sorry :( Anyways, you are in control of the Human Alliance. The Undead Scourge is trying to take control of the Human Lands. As Prince Arthas...your mission is to destroy the scourge and save his homeland. Doing so..he drives them into the Northern Wastes. He follows to settle Human civilizations there and to destroy the scourge. In time..his mission is slowly driving him Insane. Eventually, he takes up a legendary blade..and turns against the Humans he was once allied with. Thats all I'm saying :)[/hide] [hide=Battle.net]Battle.net is Blizzard's free online service. Using this, you can go online with some of their games..the biggest, besides World of Warcraft, being Warcraft 3. Using Battle.Net, you can play custom games such as Hero Wars, normal 1 on 1 battles, 3 on 3 battles, Tower Wars, Hero Tower Wars, and the awkward Sheep Tag. The only downside to this is, during most normal games, people will use tactics such as rushing quite frequently.[/hide] Well, thats just a little bit about Warcraft 3. I hope you enjoyed the review![/hide] [hide=The Elder Scrolls 3] Ok, get ready. This game is quite possibly the greatest RPG I've ever seen. You can LITERALLY do anything in this game. You can kill, steal, pillage, crawl dungeons, raid cities, explore tombs, join armies, become a mercenary, heck, even become a vampire or a werewolf! It is set in Vvardenfell...a large island inside of the province of Morrowind on the continent of Tamriel. The graphics are alright, and it has a heavy fantasy setting. In the feel of the game, you can tell something is going wrong in the world...but I'm not gonna spoil it yet. As for system requirements, the only one I would worry about is the Video Card. I'm using a 64 MB integrated card, and from what I can see, it's pretty much the lowest you can go with good performance. But don't hesitate to try the game. The best part? If you don't like something about the game, thee are thousands of user-created Mods available online. From clothing to weapons to cities to continents to characters to new races to pets and everything else you can imagine.[/hide]

is it worth going next gen if I don't have a HD TV?
Here's the question I use as a 14 year old without a job and all...do I want to work for maybe a year or so and save up around $1000 to look at pretty gr4ff1x, or do I want to buy the 360 and play the games on a normal tv without the shiny eye candy? I choose to buy the 360 and not look at eye candy....I'm messing with thumb candy ^_^ In all seriousness, buy the 360. Play it. If you love the games, love the consoles, and can afford the HD-TV you want, go for it.

Xbox 360: To Buy, Or Not To Buy
GO FOR IT!! WOO!! Meh, I'm bored. But don't buy it just for Halo 3..sure, it's good, but it's not the only game on the 360. You have Fear, Dead Rising, Bioshock, Oblivion, Mass Effect, GTA IV, The Godfather (great game IMO), Call of Duty 4, Fable 2, Assassin's Creed, Black, Half Life 2, HL 2: Episodes 1 and 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Gears of War...just to name a few of them ;) Sounds like a good enough reason to buy one in my opinion

RED X in litttle white box!
Do you have the latest version of Java? I'm not sure if this would affect RS or not, but do you have Javascript disabled? I'd suggest going to Runescape's official forums on their website (http://www.runescape.com, click 'Forums' on the left menu), then going to Tech support, and looking around there. Although you cannot post there unless you are a member (stupid jagex  ), you can still browse the forums. EDIT: Here's what Jagex says about the problem: [hide=What Jagex said in the forums]Java Problems - PC ̢̢̮ââ‰â¬

Firefox wont play Runescape
He's on a Mac. He can't. Does anyone bother reading and comprehending what they're replying to anymore? It sounds like it's some kind of Java related problem with the plugin Firefox uses if it's crashing any time the Java login or RS itself is loaded. Have you tried reinstalling Java? Oops, I missed the Mac part. Sorry

What is this?
I'm with Nadril here. That's a .zip file...a bunch of compressed stuff put into one smaller file pretty much. I wouldn't download it unless I knew everything and anything that is or could be in it. That's the way you get viruses. If you do trust the person, and download it, you can right-click the .zip/.rar file and SOME antiviruses will let you scan everything in it. Again, I'm not exactly sure about this either, but with WinRAR, you can double click and WinRAR automatically brings up a window displaying the contents. Just be careful.

Spyware and Malware help
I'd go with Spybot: S&D, Ad-Aware, and I'd also run a virus scan using Norton Antivirus or AVG. Both are great. I'm not exactly sure about any programs to fix registry errors, but I do know that they're available for free.

Firefox wont play Runescape
Have you downloaded an extension to block Firefox from running Java or javascript or something? I dunno, I'd say just use their Windows client.

Morrowind or Oblivion (Elder Scrolls III or IV)
I havent played Oblivion, but Morrowind is a heck of a game. It has a dark storyline, you can literally do almost ANYTHING in the game that you want. It's the most open game I've ever seen. Right from the start of the game, you can steal simple items and sell them for a cheap profit. You can hack away at villagers, trying to kill before the authorities take you down. You can sneak into a City late at night and break into someone's home. Whatever you do from there is up to you. You can sneak around and loot the home, or you can go to the owner and kill them, take anything at your leisure, and declare the home your own even! But then there's the bad about Morrowind. The only real thing I dislike is combat. It's SO melee based...which, im a meleer anyways, but Archery is out of the picture completely. As for actual fighting, I hope you can click the left mouse button. A lot. You'll click more times in 5 battles in Morrowind than you do with 5 hours of RuneScape :wall: Other than combat, Morrowind is an amazing game. I've yet to try Oblivion, but hopefully I'll have it soon :)

Good for RS?
Well, at least since you're using Win98SE, you don't need so much RAM for the main OS or much anything else, but the hard disk size is going to get you (You could use something a little larger, like 20 GB)... That and the video card (32 MB FTW?) and possibly a potential need for a slightly quicker CPU (Like 500 MHz) ........... But other than that, you're definitely fine. :) On the other hand (and to get back on-topic), I still have yet to hear what RazorAce's OS and ISP are... :-k ...once I know, I'll be able to go to the right spot in my brain. <*Walks out, dizzy and overloaded... He'll be back later, looking for RazorAce's reply.*> ~Mr. Devnull Lol, There's no way I'm going to upgrade this thing. It's about to die as it is...Windows is taking up so much stuff, I'm just booting off of the DS Linux Live CD anymore. In fact..I take that back. I'm seriously considering formatting this hard drive and installing Linux. If you are upgradng it, it may be worth just buying an old machine off Ebay or something, and pinching it's RAM and Hard drive. [/hide] Nah. I'll probably end up just formatting, buying a 20 GB Hard Drive and then installing Linux on that. 4GB just isnt cutting it. Even better, stick the 20 GB drive in, copy the 4 GB drive's data to proper matching partitions on the 20 GB, set up a dual-boot with Linux and Win98SE on it, and then wipe the 4GB drive and use it for backup caching or pictures or music or something like that. This way, you still have Win98SE if you need it for any reason (category of "it just won't work on Linux for some really good reason or really evil reason"...) instead of being like "Oh [bleep], I don't have it and I need it!"... :) Any which way you go, good luck. :) ~Mr. Devnull Meh, it's been a bit. I formatted Windows off of the computer..I backed up the only thing worth keeping, which was a game, and took off the rest. I nstalled DSL verson 0.9.3...I reformatted and upgraded that to version 4.0 last night. I'm very happy with it right now ^_^

I'd go with Firefox. But don't try to uninstall IE 7...just trust me and don't do it. You can download many extensions and stuff to make firefox even more secure anyways. There are extensions that block Banner Ads, ones that let you view whatever scripting the site is doing... As for Firefox not being able to render some IE 7 sites, I give you some other guy's latest invention..the IE Tab! Click it, and it renders how the page would look in IE 7. Enjoy

Fastest browser w/ 56k dialup?
Out of those, I want to say IE 6...but if you decide to use IE, go for 7 anyways because of security..I know it's IE, but 7 is more up to date security-wise than 6. Personally, I'd go with Firefox, despite the browsing speed. But that's just me..lol

If you could make your own console...
I say we make a super console, and call it the PlayareaNii70...a complete rip off of the names of all 3 consoles, but it has all of their games, all of their internetz, all of their features, the Ps3's power, both Blue-ray and HD-DVD and then normal DVD, as well as any other uber thing you could think of. Oh, and the PlayareaNii70 was MY idea if it becomes a success.....

Playstation 3 - Failure?
That's the whole thing though. A lot of the good games on Ps3 can also be found on the 360. As for Microsoft trying to take the Ps3's exclusives, even though I dont like Microsoft..they're not trying to take exclusives. The 360 is easier to develop for, so the developers are making the games for the 360 also.

Is 2GB of RAM important for Vista? CHANCE FOR FREE COOKIE
You could probably get away with 1 GB for a little while....but eventually, you'll most likely want to buy another GB or two.

jagex hates pkers
That's the one reason I quit....the players can't stop griping long enough to learn to cope with the most minor issues. [hide] Why, and have everyone at risk of PKing constantly, even if they're simply trading items? This does need to go. Would you like to spend quite a few hours hacking away at a big dungeon only to have the ultimate reward taken by some PKer who simply popped a few potions and grabbed a weapon? Yeah, those need to go also. And people with less than 200k can also buy/get lobbies and PK...is that unfair also? Being able to heal yourself? It's as fair as being able to alter your stats legally in the game. Such as? That's kind of why you kill them before they can run that far  Why are you griping about this, you're not going to get the kill or the stuff anyways. It's also one of the highest levelled spells you can learn. It takes effort to get and use. I'm neutral here.. Again, they earned protect item. And any decent PKer should be able to kill a 1-itemer and get away before they can return. Again, if you can't beat them, join them and better your own strategies. Also, sounds like someone got PKed  Kinda neutral here.[/hide]

Do i need to upgrade?

Do companies REALY care?
Yeah, good luck finding a company that actually, deep down cares. From a business perspective, yeah...they care about you as much as the most beloved icon in their lives.
