  1. Look at what I found by illegally poking through Jagex's cache files! Haha fun! Its also funny that Sailing was never suggested as a skill until after the fake screenie circulated, then all of the sudden every other sentence was a clue and every Jmod post had a hidden meaning. Well actually awhile back when I was a new member I suggested something along the lines. Looking back on it now I see how stupid an idea it was though. I'm sure that lots of players suggested sailing long before the fake screenshot, but it was only after the screenshot that people "noticed" clues all over the place

  3. Andrew's not fired or anything, and he was never CEO, or hasn't been CEO for a long time. He was and still is on the board of directors and is the primary stockholder. So he still is "in charge" because of that.
  4. I don't wanna sound rude or anything but... who are you? You always post a bunch of inside facts about Jagex as a company, so do you work there, or are you just resourceful? :-# In any case I liked all the articles this week, but my favorite one was the invisible History Article written by yours truly.
  5. Read the Tips Tricks and Notes section of the Summer's End Quest Guide. He also has an entry in the Shops Database
  6. And how! P.S. OMFGOMFG IS THAT A QUOTE BOX?!
  7. I don't think that sailing is in development, or that Jagex ever plans to develop it. I just think the people who say it COULDN'T be developed or who say if it ever WERE developed that it would be a terrible skill are ignorant and narrow-minded.
  8. Completely random question, but why did you have 820k cash on your person?
  9. sounds like it would take forever, and like there wouldn't be much point to it. i can't imagine how you'd get exp for sailing. Would you have imagined that you'd train prayer buy burying bones? Would you have imagined that you'd WOULDN'T train summoning by summoning monsters? Just because you can't imagine how it would work doesn't mean you should dismiss it. That's why you don't work for Jagex. Jagex has a team that does nothing but think about creative solutions to these kinds of problems. I'm sure they'd think of something.
  10. ^ Going to be angry < Posting just to make who_am_i wrong v Not gong to be warcraft53
  11. You can see it as viable? I can't. Seriously. First of all, what could it be used for? Modes of transport are redundant, as any town on RuneScape can be accessed with one or two instant teleportation methods. The only exceptions being Rimmington (disregarding Home Teleport) and Burgh de Rott/Meiyerditch. These are the only places you actually need to walk to. Second, exploration of what? New islands? I'm interested in what the content of those'll be? Sure, you could add new trees, but what would the logs be useful for? Firemaking? Fletching? Fletching would be really difficult, as Jagex certainly doesn't want to make Dark Bows redundant in favour of a mass producable bow, but that'll also instantly shoot down the interest. Mining? What to mine? What could the ore/rock be useful for? Smithing seems unlikely seeing it's already filled to the brim. Crafting is a maybe. High result gem rocks are unlikely, seeing as this island will be able to be visited continuously, so it'll devalue gems in the long-run. Fishing? Well, honestly, I can't complain about this one. There's always need for good healing items. Though I can see hundreds of people complaining if a new fish, easily fished, would beat out the hard-to-make Tuna Potatoes and the Trawler-only Manta Rays. Combat? Sea wars? You'd basically centre a skill around a minigame. Even if you didn't, Sailing won't do the fighting. Your cannons (Ranged), you (Melee) or whatever would. Thieving, Agility? lol. The ONLY possibilities I see are Farming patches and tropical Herbs for Herblore. -------------- Archaeology is equally bad. The concept is nice and all. However, from what I read, it doesn't offer anything even that'd even make it remotely interesting to train. Slow xp, barely any money and frustrating waiting periods due to being based on respawns like Mining and Hunter. -------------- Sorry, but I don't see potential for either of these. Summoning had a ring, it had potential. You could basically visualise what useful things those summoned beasts could do for you. I simply don't have that for Sailing/Archaeology. Such a narrow view you have... Not every skill has to add new items for other skills. I like the suggestion made that it would take you to random generated islands with goodies on it. Each island would be visitable by only one player, like quest areas. They couldn't control which island they were taken to, so they couldn't continually raid one particular island. What would be on the islands? Anything really. A couple of magic trees that no one else can reach? You could cut a full inventory then leave. That's like 50k. Or you could happen across an island with some adamant or rune rocks. You'd mine them then be on your way. New items aren't needed for a skill to be worthwhile.
  12. Proof that Pepsi drinkers are smarter than Coke drinkers!!! Anywho... To those of you who say you have random numbers and letters for your passwords, how do you remember them? :?
  13. I Stringed from 85 till 99 magic myself. Just buy a Mud Staff, some astrals en unstrung gold amulets. (If you completed Summers End a npc will buy the stringed amulets back)! You lose like 3.94 gp/xp there..and its 130k+ xp/h. who buys the amulets? and where are they at? You can sell unenchanted strung amulets to the rogue trader, who you unlock as part of the Summer's End quest. He pays the GE min price I believe.
  14. I have a lot of desktop backgrounds that I like a lot. Right now I manually change mine every month or so. It works, but its kind of a hassle. Is there any way that I can set up something that will change my desktop background every time I turn my computer on or every day or something? Thanks!
  15. Think big! three letters... ME3  you forgot the P? Also, 3 isn't a letter ;)
  16. Prayer bonus' stack :? Not the same skill. I.E. two attack prayers
  17. The most critical part of laying out your house is putting the most useful things right next to your portal. I put 2 portal rooms, a chapel, and my quest hall flanking my entrance portal, and then built the house out from the quest hall. I love this layout and highly recommend it because it puts the most useful parts of your house in quick reach right when you teleport in, portals in the portal rooms, an altar in the chapel, and a mounted glory in the quest hall.
  18. There are 3 basic types of boosts: visible, invisible, and prayer Two boosts of the same type will never (or very rarely) stack. Visible boosts actually change your level in the stat screen (i.e. 105/90 strength) and include things such as spicy stews and potions. Invisible boosts are things that give boosts that do not change your stat screen (such as void and salve ammy) Prayer is prayer :P Visible + Invisible; Visible + Prayer; Invisible + Prayer; Visible + Invisible + Prayer = stack Invisible + Invisible; Visible + Visible; Prayer + Prayer = no stack
  19. Hopefully this clears up some rumors
  20. We need more updates like this. Much more.
  21. The Dragon Riders rode them. They are assumed to be an entire different race. I've yet to see any convincing evidence of wyrms. Yes Dragon Riders are mentioned in the Ghostly Robes Transcript, but there's no mention of wyrm anywhere in any form except the Desert Wyrm summoning familiar. They are mentioned, *hunts about for his old post* Evidence alert! I'd like to see one of those one day. Oh hehe forgot about that... I will now edit my post to make me seem like I remembered this. Edit: OMFG why are you misquoting me?!

  23. That player right there is epic... And you named it Nubgotownedrofl/disgusting? That's under appreciating the humor. :shame: no, no, I didnt name it "nubgotownedrofl", thats my username (a very old inside joke XD) the file name is "disgusting", honestly because i would think people would be a little more mature in-game then this..... whatever it is. I don't think you noticed the level of win the other player possessed. But its absolutly disgusting! I know its not a children's game but thats waaay over the line for "older content" what would you do if you were in my position? Tbh I would probably be in his position; but if I was in yours he would be on my friends list before our interaction ended. I guess you both have similar goals, then.
