How is vannaka too easy and Chaeldar too hard? Vannaka isnt easy if chaeldar is hard.. :| Still, slayer is great. Someone being easy wouldnt/shouldnt prevent you leveling it. You also dont use much money on tasks unless you have to use sharks cause you suck badly. Anyway to the point; Ghostly warriors are good. You could try cockroaches. They may be mostly ftp but they drop so many crimsons, laws, deaths, sometimes rune items/snap seeds, and pretty dang good xp.
