  1. What needs moste work at this stage is the lack of pelvic area on both characters. the shading also needs allot of tweaking, before you start concentrating on dithering techniques and stuff you need to lay down some more basis, like shading it with depth and shape at the lightsource and how the object reacts to the light source. color pallet's need some work to. The breast plate armor is drawn as a one piece armor tho in reality there lots of linked pieces. i'll get into more details when it's at a later stage, theres lots of anatomic errors that it's to late at the moment to get into.
  2. i'd help, always did pixel tutoring ever since i started pixeling (tho lookt back at the start i didn't know what i was talking about). So i volunteer as tutor.
  3. Yea I just lost mine too, only linework and colouring but even so.. I'm such an idiot. #-o i didn't because i had nothing to lose in progress :P can't bother at the moment, got a couple of gigs and am recording songs at the moment :o (sorry it's completely off the point but i was to excited not to tell =P~ ) i'll finish it before time tho :)
  4. ya... im not sure what to do with them there are only so many shades of white :? any ideas? you shade snow with white to blue, not thousands of white shades.
  5. thats great, but you didnt tell me how to 'use them right'... as far as im concerned, i can use colors however i please... the palette clashes to much. using colors right shape, depth, harmony? in other words tone down your purples and use it in a way that is fitting and make it into a 3 dimensional shape instead of a 2 dimensional blob of colors. i hope that is clear enough for you.
  6. hey cool so is mine i really dig the piece man!
  7. the colors don't work, or your not using them right. experement some more with the colors and where you put 'em
  8. uhh i'm going to let this sink into me, because currently i don't understand a word of it
  9. it's a thumbnail, you have to click it :XD:
  10. that color brown is not a natural mountain color, that's what he means by nice color. :) use more natural colors :)

i love Version 2. it's inspiring! it rolls a film in my head :)
  13. I disagree... from my point of view it looks like the dragon is flying sorta at a 3\4 angle towards somthing not across it... therefore the dragon would be smaller at the end... espically if it was a large dragon... I pesonally think this is you best work yet... props to you! love the sky =P~ NO! No no no no! damnit man NOT at this angle! not THAT extreme! and NO that dragon does not look mighty or large! it looks like a [bleep]ing humming bird with a long neck and a weird head. sorry man your giving false critisisme here and are giving disregard to correct critisme. the tail would grow smaller in the distance, but only slightly because of the angle. i will no repeat my CORRECT critisisme, critisisme that i have done research for, yet was ignored? this Dragon needs a belly, yeah a belly and a big mighty chest, and muscular legs, because right now this dragon.. if it is a dragon looks like it's anorexic.. or a big sissy or not that big, it's how you look at it. plus i think the dragon broke his inexsisting back. sorry to come off agry but listen to me..
  14. you might want to work on your faces, it really is a weak point in the current progress not much else to say yet..
  15. are you by any chance some evil monster that has come down or uhh up? or from besides? diagonal angels? to taunt is with your evil "books" ? you can't listen to books man, it makes them utter silent and seriously that kills my brain.. + there's no energy in them! the scales on the neck need some work, plus the size of it.. naturally.. might do good with a bit moe of a belly? you want your dragon to scream MIGHT POWER! so you have to make it big muscular and well go wild on that.. the wings are at a wrong angle, considering your viewing from a diagonal view from bove, then what is now the let's say upper side of the wing, should be down!
  16. let Terley decide if he'll post or not..
  17. why do you all keep going on about the arm.. i mean Rayman could do it! why can't this guy?

  22. thanks you to, if you're in.. no the brackets didn't but they said it a couple of pages ago :)
  23. ...i have worked on pixel rpg's and pixel platform adventure games and i don't see why not limit yourself to 4 colors, if it is ofcourse for one object. Plus working on an rpg gives you no advanced knowledge over some of the people here, trust me on this one.. limited pallet's are what Pixel Art was born from, so it's sort of a tradition. not to mention that limited pallet's train your shading skills and challenge yourself to improve on that part aswell. since you have less colors you have to understand more how the light moves upon the object and where to place the highlights and where to place the shadows. (yes it's true limited color pallet's do train all that) So as result you'll see improvement in your work from this excercise or style or skill. it also brings with it that people are starting to pick more interesting colors compositions and with that improve there art. if you ask me, pretty good reason to atleast try limited color pallet's. (now i think i misspelled pallet, but i'm not sure and i don't really care) or atleast, you can respect it.
  24. your against Garrgoyle man and the deadline was yesterday.. so no i dont think your in..
