Recently I made a script to log certain ranks to a database in every skill. This script runs 3 times daily. It includes the rank, name, and experience of the player at the rank 1-20,100,1000,10000,100000,1000000 (and of course the 1337 variations inbetween). For overall it also records total level, since that's not easily calculated. Now, if anyone would like this database and have a plan to utilize it, contact me and I'll get something set up. I'd really like to see pretty graphs and whatnot :) Also, I have a script that collects world status every 10 minutes and gives me the world, a member/f2p boolean, offline/full/online status, # players, and location of the world (as in US West). I would also gladly give out the database if you have a plan to make those pretty pretty charts :) As of now, I have no one working on either project!

Not every cop out there carrys a tazer, but regardless these cops made a bad decision and deserve to be fired (assuming it went down as said). Funny how many times this point needs to be said,....

Too true... cops aren't your classic videogame character with a deadly arsenal shoved in their pants :) And like Lion said, not all police carry tasers, because believe it or not they have budgets like the rest of the world, especially in a smaller town like that.

Yea, my schools just as small, maybe even smaller (650 kids in Middle School and High School combined, 250 in high School), and we don't really have this sort of thing, everyone accepts everyone pretty much. :| That's ****ing massive! My graduating class will have 18 kids...

At small schools like mine you don't really have to worry about that crap :) Sure there are different groups of friends, but its too small for people to completely abandon one group for another :P

There are games you can play on a Mac - World of Warcraft for instance. Do not confuse Mac (Macintosh) with MAC (Media Access Control - a sublayer of the data link layer of the OSI model - most commonly associated with an ethernet address, or MAC address). I can vouch for Mr Putter here when I say he knows what he's talking about. See, he's a gamer. He likes games. Lots of games. Mac doesn't do Lots of games. Just a few :) I think Mr Putter is also a bit past runescape :) You're basing a whole operating system off what a guy in the store says? Do some research and don't be so shallow ;)

You can also minimize *anything* to the tray using Freemod. Just open it up, select send to tray and then hit Mod it! It's a pretty fast and small tool and it also does transparency :D

The game will absolutely positively render without a connection. The positioning data for your character is clientside and frankly it'd be rather stupid for it to be sent to the server and back again every single time the client polls the server.

I think you're just going to have to live with the fact that you can't play Runescape :) Just because they're minimum specs doesn't mean you'll be able to *play* at them

that kind of made me laugh: sure anyone can make a game that will be played by 6 million people and bring in tens of millions, yeah its so easy :roll: Id like to see you try. Eh? I just said I have no intention of ever doing anything like that...

@crimsonking: I hope you have no notion in your head that I was criticizing runescape because I think I could do better. I have no intention of going into the games industry unless it's just a coincidental thing. I have looked into it at one point, but I decided that level of coding just wasn't for me and I'd rather pursue Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering.. However. To take this into terms everyone can understand, you don't have to want to or be able to be a President of the United States to see flaws with George W ;)

There will always be flaws with games, its to be expected, you can't exactly make anything perfect, there will always be those that wine and complain about this or that, I mean, heres your proof, Runescape is a perfectly decent game, yet everyone here seems to have made it their mission to make it look like crap. Mainly because it is crap. How many other games are you expected to click click click and swivel the camera around and believe it's "fun"?

Games like runescape can't just be made with cookie cutter game makers and engines, they have to be carefully crafted if you want it to stand out and be mildly successful :)

Well, the whole thing about lunar eclipses is that the earth gets between the sun and the moon :P Therefore: Don't look at the sun.

Argh, would be taking pictures of it (I'll be able to see it just before its in the middle of its eclipse), but my mom took the 300mm lens >.o

Quads are a bad idea without you really want a fast pc and don't give a damn about money. Nope, no overclocking for me and @cyco: Yeah, and they're ridiculously expensive :P

although an amazing processor... in a short while they will have quads... maybe wait for a quad? Because when they do come out they will be a ridiculous amount of money for a while, which I can't afford to wait.
