Need advice for getting into programming.
The Torque Engine is also a good one (also at $100 available from http://www.garagegames.com, but a demo is available). It was the engine used to power Tribes 2!

Quadradius, a Game of Strategy
Not at all! And it wouldnt matter in a member versus guest battle, since only member vs member battles get special powers such as Orb Spy, Switcheroo, and Invisible.

Quadradius, a Game of Strategy
Lately I've been playing Quadradius, it's a checkers type flash game where the objective is to eliminate all your opponents. It's a little bit more difficult than it sounds however, because of: Powerups! These nifty little things can recruit pieces from the opponents army, change the height of the game board, steal opponents powers, and all sorts of nifty stuff. With these the game is 90% luck and 10% strategy for the unskilled person (yet, strategy wins 90% of the time, so no worries once you get it figured out). The game itself can be found at http://www.quadradius.com, just sign up as a guest and hit start! You can find me there under the name Eclipsor. Here's a screenshot of the game after it was pretty much won, but we were fooling around: Screenie Also, another great feature is that you can talk directly to the dev and get stuff fixed. For example, today I "fixed" an infinite powerup exploit and got a cap put on powers! :P (Not in effect yet though :( )

General Internet immaturity
I think this post is proof that situation will never occur. I've been at this forum five and a half years. The small fish never run out. They spawn at a far faster rate than the large fish ever will. :anxious: Well yes, generally because the small fish do stupid things and eat something poisonous and leave but the big fish are smart and avoid them so they can grow. Meaning -------> \O/ | /\ ^^ You WHOOOOOSH He's saying the opposite of what you're thinking. The little fish are spawning (breeding) faster than the big fish and frankly some big fish now prefer to live on land :)

General Internet immaturity
After being on IRC today and hearing someone say "your mom" when I was being serious... and from someone that it seemed like it was below them to say something as stupid and old as that, I wondered why people that are normally very intelligent would do such stupid things on the internet. Sure there's a place for fun and all that, but mot people can tell where it is/when it is in real life, but on the Internet apparently everything goes, eh? For everyone that does that kind of stuff because it's the Internet, can you please take it in mind that some people (me for one) come to the Internet to get away from all the people acting like morons in real life? Side note: I've felt TIF has been falling down this slippery slope faster than usual lately, so I've decided to put tip.it in my hosts file and take a break... if this post seems very scattered, that's because I'm writing it in lynx on the computer that doesn't have TIF blocked. Heedless to say, lynx isn't very fun to compose a post with ;) I might be back and check this post in a month or whenever I decide I've built up enough mental defenses to journey into the sludge again.

Has anyone met someone on TIF that they know IRL?
I don't think anyone other than maybe Crimsonking lives in Kansas :P Not that I've ever met him (if he does)

The Birth of Tip.It
You can't make sigs for money anymore? I remember a debate about that a few years ago, didn't ever think it would actually be enforced. Right about the time I quit runescape for good earlier this year there was a big thing and all the media boards were changed around and selling of sigs on TIF wasn't allowed.

Stupidity, can it be helped?
No offence but that was a little off. Atleast respind with a normal answer. That was a little spammish. It's funny laugh. If you don't understand it because you are one of the aforementioned people, I'll explain. You see, average room temperature is around 76ish degrees Fahrenheit. Now, there are other countries in the world who probably use Celsius, so that would be 24 degrees Celsius, making the comment even more harsh against those people he mentioned. Of course, some scientists need to use the Kelvin scale and room temperature is roughly 298 degrees Kelvin, making them possibly absurdly smart. Get it? I assume anyone with an IQ higher than average room temperature in Fahrenheit would understand this and chuckle :) not necessarily, if you are below Kelvin, you could be 297.9999999 or 1. :P Anyway, I'll stop : You can go back to topic. Which is why I went back and edited 'possibly' in there :P (seems the be the one you quoted too)

Nintendo Wii vs. Xbox 360
Lucky :D I haven't decided whether or not I am going to get one as soon as I can, which will be sometime in January, or if I should wait for the different coloured systems and price drop that is expected in March. Ooh, forgot there'd be different color systems... what colors? And does the price drop also drop Wii Sports from the package?

Chemistry.....Chemical Reactions
I like N2O+Lungs the best :P Best thing that I've personally seen (through the reflection on glass cabinets) was the teacher lighting a rod of magnesium on fire (I think it was mg). Other than that our classes were boring :(

Finals...O.M.Geezies
Exam exemption based on attendance? That's odd. Our school used to have exam exemption based on marks going into the exam. Then they realized that exempted people from exams didn't make any sense and made them mandatory. As for me, I finished on the 15th. Calculus: 77% on the exam, 75% final. Linear Algebra: No mark back yet. Advanced Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis: 93% on the exam, 90% in the course. Programming Theory and Object Orientation: 80% on the exam, 78% overall. Machine Architecture and Assembly Language: No mark back yet. Attendance rate went from mid 80%s to 98% this year (they started doing this my freshman year... before then there were no finals)

Christmas is..?
So I suppose you'd say the same about an Atheist who's studied all sorts of theological religions? Celebration. Studying. Very different. Although in his case, I'd say yes, he is [developmentally delayed]ed

Christmas is..?
But if it was started as a "religious" holiday why take the religious backgrounds out? Nadril- If you have seen some of my previous post on other pages you will find out that this is nothing more than a rhetorical question. Here's my guess: The modern day gift-giving evolved from the three Wise Men bringing Jesus gifts. Over the years, as new religions developed and Christianity itself changed, Christmas became less and less of a holiday to celebrate the birth of Christ. Sure, some people still do celebrate it for that reason, but now there are more reasons why people celebrate Christmas. Quite a few non-Christians celebrate it as a reason to get together with their families and exchange gifts to one another (three Wise Men). This idea probably came from some of Christianity's teachings such as loving everyone and all that stuff. People just celebrate it in a more general way instead of just celebrating the birth of Jesus. Things evolve over time. We really couldn't expect Christmas to keep the exact same meaning forever :P Again, just my guess :P But my question still stands..if it was a religious Holiday why take the religios background from it? I think that Christmas should be celebrated for its true meaning. Because not everyone has the same beliefs you do. Many non Christians find it a good idea to take some time off and spend time with family and give gifts too ;)

No finals :D My school works on a system of absences 3 excused absences and you need an A in the class to be exempt 2 and a B 1 and a C

What new gaming system do you want?
People are stupid, but that isn't a problem with the Wii, just people ;)
