  1. Definitely, 99% of the beef I eat comes from the ranch I live on and is prepared locally, and I have to say it's some of the best stuff I've had compared to what you'll get in the average restaurant or supermarket. Now if we only raised our own bacon.... I mean pigs! >.>
  2. Common sense + firewall on my router
  3. Except in that game you only hear the word fleetingly, but the people who passed it down orally likely heard teh stories hundreds if not thousands of times throughout their lives before going on to tell the stories themselves.
  4. If you're still anxious about building your own, check out http://www.mysuperpc.com for a step by step guide :)
  5. And how do you know that Win 2k can support these technologies?
  6. That doesn't beat this at all, except by sheer stupidity... :P The jet in the beetle looks like something that might actually come out of a VW factory...if they made jet powered beetles, that just looks like a hobo found something he shouldn't have at the junkyard.
  7. List of what I think are the greatest of the past century, courtesy of Wired Highlighted ones are blunders, but I think you might find the rest interesting too. Nuclear Apocalypse Near Misses
  8. The US isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's got a horrible government, terrible civil rights (beat by both our allies, Canada and the UK currently), huge poverty problems, a rising crime rate, a horrible school system, and a falling economy, among other things. And we are not the richest. Maybe in physical dollars, but you can't measure that way, in GDP we fall shorter than Luxembourg and I can't remember the rest. And we rank in the 20's on the UN's best country list, alongside the UK as Canada places around third. Isn't Luxembourg more a novelty than a nation, like Monaco?
  9. There was a story in Wired about this last summer, here's an excerpt:
  10. I don't know where you're getting your facts from, but the last few halo parties I've had (2 xboxes, 8 people) always turn into "Let's play some Wii!", even with one controller to go around 8 people!
  11. Wii has backwards compatability too :\ Actually it's native backwards compatability, so it trumps the Xbox, getting the whole plethora of Gamecube games. And then there's the shop with older games. So, I really don't see where you're coming from with the Wii not having "classics". Do some research first?
  12. I've got to stop looking at TIF after I get out of the shower :uhh: *scuttles off to go get dressed*
  13. You would need to buy some. I could email him some by next week
  14. build your own pc it will be much cheaper For the highend yes, but last I checked it's not worht the extra trouble for mid to low end
  15. I've had a friend claim Vista doesn't play any games at all just because he's using integrated graphics and they weren't supported by Oblivion.... :P
  16. For college I'm primarily getting a desktop, but friends and my parents convinced me to get some sort of laptop. I'm just looking for teh cheapest thing out there really and so far Dell is the winner at $549, but that is still a bit high. Are there any places where there are cheaper laptops? (I want to get one new and not off of ebay)
  17. Apparently jagex changed the highscores format ever so slightly :\ However, it seems to be fixed now I should go find out what the fix was so I can fix my highscore grapher :(
  18. That seems to be the problem with 99% of people I've talked to about it :P
  19. Pretty simple when I did it, just Add Application and then click Runescape Info on the left side (might be under more) and then go back to your profile!
  20. I guess I get no appreciation for finding cool stuff for you guys? Finding cool stuff != advertising.
  21. I was in a facebook dev IRC channel last night and I stumbled across someone coding an application to pull stats from the highscores and I thought you guys might find it interesting :) http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2352288176 It's in "beta" now or so he says, but I've had a friend add it and he says "it works, hurrah!", so yeah! :P Just posting because I wanted to give back to the community (not every day you find cool stuff like this) :)

+1 What happens when you're waiting in line for lunch... and everybody is nude? Pushing in line isn't such a little problem anymore... And what if (for guys) you are waiting in line, and you have to go to the bathroom, and it causes you to... pop one? :? What then? Well heck, if you're still at the age where you're popping them left and right at the slightest breeze it's probably considered KIDDY PORN and will be placed on your permanent record XD (Reminds me of a news story a while back about two teens trading "pics", both under 18 and they both got kiddy porn charges against them and on their permanent record and they're now sex offenders :\ )
  23. And then you get to the very end and he goes all Heinlein on you :(
  24. Because it must be correct 100% of the time and external stimuli do not exist!
