short answer: no If you are that concerned about your screen real estate than you could up your resolution if you haven't already. Another possibility is getting a duel monitor setup. Editing the html of the specific web page is more trouble than it is worth.

Windows shuts off at random! What's Wrong?
kelerps replied to Aurthor1234's topic in Tech and Computers
Normally the first thing you should do with this type of problem is to restart the computer in safe mode. If the computer continues to reset than it is possibly a hardware issue. If the computer does not restart than what you are experiencing is most likely a software problem. -
Runescape died? I was on last week and everything seemed to be normal. It looks decent but it was too soon...

Go to data > import external data > new web query A window should popup, paste this address in http://hiscore.runescape.com/index_lite.ws?player= This should lead you to a text only page with a bunch of number separated by commas. Click the yellow and black arrow on the top left of the browser window and then click import. Your should now be in excel with the import data dialog box open. Click the properties button at the bottom of the dialog box. Here you can change your refresh option to your choice. Press ok. Then select the radio box that says put data in new worksheet. This will allow it to be out of the way for when you create your document. The data should be in the format rank, level, experience and if there is no data there will be a -1. It should be in the same order as the usual high scores. Select the data range and rename it hiscores so you just refer to it as a name. Now you will need to format your data to easily be used by other functions. If you go to insert function there will be lookup and reference formulas witch you theoretically will be able to use for that. If you cannot accomplish this then the VBA editor(alt +F 11) could be used.

My Desktop Backgrounds / Misc. Graphics / 3D Studio Work.
kelerps replied to Mazurizi's topic in Art and Media
Despite everyone else dislike of the ones made in photoshop, I think this one looks quite good: If it was in a higher resolution I would gladly use it as a Desktop Wallpaper. Instead of using lots of filters you could try starting out with a simple geometric design and then use one or two filters to alter it. -
What you did must of taken some time. However this does not mean it is necessarily anything good. You may be able to spend hours tracing lines but you will not find anyone to appreciate it because it took no creativity witch is generally what you want to have. For example, if you took a picture of a family member and it stood on your wall for a month. Then if you put up a new one but with lines outlining the subject. There would be nothing too interesting to look at because a outline is very simple and nothing creative. This is similar to what you have done. If you are still interested in art then try going to this thread and following a tutorial on pixel art and get a idea of what should be posted.

Windows Not Detecting all of my upgraded RAM
kelerps replied to coldvenom's topic in Tech and Computers
Google "PCI memory remapping" and you should find a answer. I apologize for being lazy and not spoon feeding you. -
Actually I went on their website and clicked sign up. Then at the second paged I selected alternative payment methods and got this: Electronic check would seem to be the best one. It then should automatically withdraw from your checking account. You should again call and see if there is any better option for you. More providers you can call and look into is peoplepc or earthlink(slightly more expensive).

I'm not sure what you mean when you say the service will be disrupted if their is no money in the credit account. Last I checked you always owe money in a credit account. If you do not want that type of payment then you should ask them. They will most likely have another method of payment as will just about any other company at this day. I'm thinking the majority of us gets bills in the mail but I can't really make assumptions. If your parents can just not plainly afford it then you could try making a deal with them. For example you can give up something in exchange for continuing your internet service.

Well defragmenting may possibly help, but I have never seen amazing results from it. Instructions for defragmenting your drive can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314848 Your computer may also be running unnecessary processes witch are hogging your computers resources. Look in the system tray witch would be the most right of the task bar. If there are processes that shouldn't be running then open them and look an option for them to not start with windows. There may still be a few left that that option did not work for--if so then follow to the next step. Open up your start menu and go to run. Type msconfig, a window should pop up. Go to the startup tab and uncheck the process that you do not want running. If you do not know what they are then it better to be safe and uncheck it since it could be a system driver that you will need. Also, if you are having problems with a specific program make sure no two programs are conflicting with each other. Another possibility would be that you have a virus. Scan your PC for any viruses and tell us if you find anything. If you do not have one then you can google avast or AVG and download one of them for free. If nothing above works and you desperately want your computer to the speed it once was then a possibilty would be to do a fresh install of windows or look for an image/backup disc that came with your computer.

All of them are great signatures, but the third is the best in my opinion because the others have a bit too much contrast. One thing I would change about it would be to make the text slightly more visible. You should aim for the text complementing your signature rather that it be there for other purposeful reasons.

This quote is from the game dev forums FAQ, hope it answers your questions. Another great place to look is here: http://www.gamedev.org/wiki/index.php/MMORPG_Anatomy Also the persons post above is wrong about requiring only 2 years before you can start the game. It will take LOTS of practice before you can make some good games. Also you will need to get good at multiple forms of art and become a decent musician.

Cruel ... but not true ... but true Sorry if I am not making any sense.

Very cool, the colors added to make it a lot more appealing. If you just make it more graphically appealing and make a website to customize them that would be really cool. Pop a few ads on there and you might get some extra income too. Otherwise great coding and nice host; I signed up for it too since my old free one didn't support anything. Great thing I wasn't one of the people to call BS or I would be feeling stupid right now.

I found a great display of images demonstrating pixel art from old games with with beads on digg.com. Here is the link: I used to have a kit for that type of bead art, you just place the beads on a device that will hold them with little pegs and then apply a heat source on one side. This will leave one side smooth and the other looking normal. Great fun if anyone wants to try it, best part of it is that you get to hold on to something physical and they will last very well.

Seems the obvious choice would be to check on the driver. If you want to do that on a windows xp system I assume then go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management. Then click on device manager in the left frame. Should be able to expand the label sound, video and audio controllers and check that.

I wouldn't really trust those statistics because many people have tested all of them and claimed it was a reliable and large sample but they seem to come out quite different. It does seem that the most widely used ones are consistently toward the top. Keep in mind this does not test the ability to recognize a virus that is not in their database. I wouldn't worry about the number too much as other factors are more important in a decision. Kaspersky and Zone alarm have worked out well for me. Most importantly participate in safe internet practices.

I have started making some scripts for fractionals witch have come out decent but not as good as my others that where manually done in my opinion. Anyway this first one I didn't use a script for but the others i have. These next two was made with the first script i have made. It will produce the exact same thing every time, there is no random variables used in it. default: same but with a bit changed: Here is the script i made for them if anyone has a use for it. clear; AddTransform; with transform do begin color := 0.1; linear := 0; spherical := 1; end; AddTransform; with transform do begin linear := 0; heart := 0.5; scale(5); end AddTransform; with transform do begin linear := 1.5; rings2_val := 2; end AddTransform; with transform do begin linear := 1; bubble := 30; end; Flame.scale := 100; Flame.x := 0; Flame.y := 0; The second script I made included lots of random variables so it would produce something noticeably different every time. Basically all it did was produce rings. The ones below where colored by picking a random base color and each of the transforms drifted off from that a bit so it will not produce wild colors. Again, here is the script for the second one if anyone wants to try it out. Clear; n := Random / 3; //starts out with semi-random color for i := 0 to 2 do begin n := n + Random * 0.05; //increments n witch changes the color AddTransform; with transform do // Multi-Colored Rings begin color := n; linear := 0.35 * Random; spherical := 1; rotate(360*Random); scale(3 * (Random * Random)); bubbles := 0.5; end; end; AddTransform; with transform do begin linear := 1 * random; end; Flame.Scale := 40; Flame.x := 0; Flame.Y := 0; UpdateFlame:= true; Any ideas on what to do next along with C/C would be appreciated. Feel free to use anything in this post for whatever purpose.

A few things I dislike: -Too much red light coming out of the window, looks like something from a horror Movie. -The "Wad Bolf Supplies" sign has a outline that looks like it came from a cartoon -The pole that holds the lamp next to the canoe leans over so it looks like the sign with the anchor is held by it too, might make it lean a bit different. -The door on the house looks too wide/ too short -The docks textures need to be redone. -The house farthest away is a bit too plain, also the house closest to the camera could use a box of supplies or random stuff outside. -The rocks don't serve a purpose and they look out of place. -The Vines on the house normally grow up a ways and stop once they don't get significant sunlight. Perhaps you should not have them go all the way up and spontaneously stop once they reach the top. Also, the roots look like they came from no where. -The slope next to the cattail plants is too steep, the rain would knock that down pretty quick. -The rope goes inside the boat, normally there is something on both sides to tie it to. -The paddles look like they deft gravity and they are never left like that when they are not being used. Thats about all I could find without being too picky. Overall it is really good, especially the water.

Feel free to use any of them for sigs without credit. Actually I was thinking they were horrible compared to everyone else's fractionals on deviant art, but thanks for the ego booster.
-
Since my last two I started using different transform variations besides linear, so hopefully these will be a bit better. Used apophysis. Images may take a while to load so might as well get yourself some cake as you are waiting.

wow looks great, I can't make anything more than a small object in AOI with those very small boxes. You said there was going to be a castle in the background but i guess you changed your mind but still looks great. Your Composition is also great too.
-
I happened to start using apophysis and winded up making the image below. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me to a tutorial. Currently it seems all that is put into a fractional is running a script and changing a few settings. edit: yes, you may use these fractionals for your own work and don't worry about giving credit as long as you have edited it some way. I did some further experimentation and came up with another.

looks unbalenced but other then that i like it

The things that your words have proved is that you have no CLUE how idiotic you look.
