  1. Yes, you should smoke. Being cool is important. What did you expect the answer to be?
  2. Windows Movie Maker. It's in your start menu.
  3. Come to think of it, the most beautiful christian/catholic music (and indeed most beautiful music full stop) you'll likely ever hear is classical. Bach's music in particular is very religious, lutheran to be specific. Check out Bach's Mass in B Minor and Mozart's Requiem.
  4. It will happen when you use unoriginal names. The sort that millions of forum users worldwide use. That means anything with... Devil Satan Death Dragon Goku Black Red Dude Super Wizard Mage Warrior Killer Hitman ...in it.
  5. Have fun. You'll be back. There.
  6. Hooray for the appeal to authority fallacy! And the sources wikipedia cites for that statement: C̮̩̉̉cile Henquet, Lydia Krabbendam, Janneke Spauwen, Charles Kaplan, Roselind Lieb, Hans-Ulrich Wittchen and Jim van Os (2004). "Prospective cohort study of cannabis use, predisposition for psychosis, and psychotic symptoms in young people". British Medical Journal 330 (11) G C Patton, Carolyn Coffey, J B Carlin, Louisa Degenhardt, Micheal Lynskey and Wayne Hall (2005). "Cannabis use and mental health in young people: cohort study". British Medical Journal 325 (1195).
  7. I was told in a lecture today that 67% of telephone conversations is silence. Making variable bitrate a very attractive thing.
  8. Make your own notes on each section. As though you were picking out the key points you'd mention if you were teaching someone else it.
  9. He did, it is in his signature as he said.
  10. Quoted for absolute truth.
  11. Interesting how the official oldest person in the world is 114. And how, for the last 10 years, there hasn't been anyone recognised as being over 119. Also interesting how the person with the longest confirmed lifetime in history was 122.
  12. Brunei says different. :P They pay no taxes, and get free education. Their country has no poverty, and the Sultan is one of the world's richest men, with a fortune around US $37 billion. Brunei says different. You may have meant "they pay no income tax" but they do have taxes there.
  13. Interesting, I wonder if it would be possible to make it act like a man whenever the hypnotist claps.
  14. Because they know you'll do it for them. :D Do you think it is really worth waiting for me to rebut it and make it look like they're idiots who just believe anything they read on the intarwebs? As though they don't have any critical faculties?
  15. However, to be within the terms of the license: - You have to buy it at the same time as a 'non-peripheral' item (HDD, CPU, etc.) - It is completely non-transferable between different computers - and for this purpose a new motherboard counts as a different computer. That means you can't upgrade your motherboard and install it again.
  16. VERY interesting... Also very false (the birds bit). Why don't people bother to check their facts?
  17. Parabola replied to MrM2000's topic in Tech and Computers
I'd imagine most keyboards have a $ sign on them since it is used for so many currencies.
  18. So people who drink coffee are "fing morons"?
  19. You're English yet you say 'mom'? I am particularly lazy. I drive to uni even though it's only a 15 minute walk.
  20. Ahh, but does everyone who describes a 'god-ly' encounter describe being intimately probed in their darkest caverns?
  21. At home: winamp, through my amplifier and speakers. Or at night, through my amplifier and Sennheiser HD555 headphones. Walking (rarely): iPod 3rd generation through Shure E2c earphones. Car: on journeys of 15 minutes or more I put my iPod through my stereo. When I'm driving to uni every day it isn't worth bringing it so I just listen to Classic FM. Have people just started using "lol" to end any sentence?
  22. You need to have FF 2.0 or newer, and you need to have a dictionary installed - go to addons.mozilla.org and search for 'dictionary' and then install the one for your language. At least that's what I had to do for British English.
  23. What are they then, minerals?
  24. The largest living thing is a honey mushroom fungus in Orgeon, it covers more than 2,200 acres and is over 2,400 years old. Source. The oldest living thing is a creosote bush in the Mojave desert, it is over 12,000 years old. Source. Both are sometimes disputed. I put them up because they are possible and interesting candidates.
  25. To be honest I can't stand Minis. I would go for the Lupo even ignoring all practicality.
