Getting a cheap one is kind of tempting fate...

If it went bang, you need a new PSU. Be grateful that it is unlikely it will have fried the rest of your system.
  3. I don't remember the exact way to do it, and it may not be the same for those keys, but I have disabled my caps lock key. I remember I got instructions from annoyances.org.
  4. Draenor - Scamander - 67 human mage. Only got TBC on Wednesday of last week and because of a lot of time off uni I've managed almost a level a day ;)
  5. His machine is over 5 years old. It will be out of warranty.
  6. For a die-hard PC gamer - the Sephiroth-Aeris incident in FF7.
  7. Yes, but you could insert a modicum of reasoning into your post so you don't just look like a blinkered fanboy.
  8. He's saying that given the fact you're going to need to get a new machine soon anyway, it is worth biting the bullet and getting a new one rather than succumbing to pouring money into something obsolete.
  9. Sounds like another Gizmondo to me.
  10. I'm a student and it's cheaper to buy it from the supermarket than from a bar, we have lots of nights in. There is: Port x3 bottles Grand Marnier Courvoisier Cognac Creme de Menthe Amaretto Mount Gay Rum As for the binoculars, I am on the 9th floor of student flats and the view is quite impressive. They're also useful when I'm annoying scallies/chavs with my laser.
  11. The picture is deceptive - it doesn't show the true size of everything. Whilst they may look normal sized it is in fact a much larger than average keyboard, the monitors are 21" each and the case is also big. Computer on the desk: A64 3700+ 2GB DDR400 6800GT 820GB storage Computer on the floor: A64 X2 4200+ 1GB DDR800 X1600 Pro 500GB storage Both with XP Pro SP2. Tried vista, didn't like it. Most of the time I use both the monitors as the desktop for the machine on the desk. They are dual input, so when I want to view the desktop of the machine on the floor I press a button.
  12. Burning sugar.
  13. I got TBC and went through the portal, when I had seen the maps on my dad's machine they didn't look too big - around the size of EPL, how wrong I was. I've only been on the Hellfire Peninsula and it's huge beyond words. I must say I'm very impressed, everything looks so awesome (not just meaning good, meaning awe inspiring). I loved the gryphon bombing quests, a very good idea. I also loved how great all the new items are.
  14. I had a go on my brother's 60 mage and gave it a 2/0/49 build - it is excellent fun so I think I'll play on that one. Ordered the Burning Crusade. I think I'll make a Draenei warrior when I get it too. I have to play alliance because my dad does (with 4 lvl 60+!).
  15. You'd think they'd at least consult some tech-savvy people before proposing such a thing.
  16. Didn't get level 60 - abandoned my old account over a year ago. However, upon seeing TBC it influenced me to get the game again and start on a mage.
  17. Read the forum software documentation.
  18. The control mechanism for movement was a bit like that of Ragdoll Kung Fu.
  19. Install what properly? How do you think hundreds, if not thousands, of devices manage to work with hundreds of different routers/access points without installing any router-specific software? Routers run their own firmware. It should not need anything to be installed.
  20. Why would you need a CD to use a router? You should find out the default IP of the router (should be in the manual), open your connection in network connections (on each machine), go to TCP/IP settings, set IP & DNS servers to auto assign and set default gateway to your router's IP.
  21. Not true. The light 'burn' sensation felt when drinking a fizzy drink isn't caused by the bubbles, it is caused by the dilute carbonic acid contained within the drink. This can be shown by drinking the fizzy drink in a hyperbaric chamber at the same pressure as the beverage, where the taste is the same but there are no bubbles. Source.
  22. I'll be 31. - I'll be married (estimated 3 years from now) - I'll have kids (estimated 5-7 years from now) - I'll have a masters in Data Telecommunications & Networks (1.5 years from now) - I'll be managing a corporate network of at least 150 machines - I'll have a motorbike and two cars (one fast, one practical)
  23. The title is a bit misleading since no plans to cut the price have been confirmed. Even in the quote that the OP posted it only says: "We may look at the price as part of our strategy to expand the market when the timing is right" They might consider it, and if they consider it they might decide against it.
  24. I believe that he is saying total amount of time. Like when teenagers are on the phone and not really saying anything. Waiting for some one to bring up conversation. I mean that when someone is in a telephone call, 67% of the total time spent in said call is spent transmitting nothing. That means that using constant bitrate encoding to transmit is wasteful, since it encodes silence into a relatively high bitrate. By using variable bitrate one can have the silence encoded at a relatively low bitrate, making more efficient use of transmission medium. I'm not talking about the telephone calls of particular groups of people; I'm talking about telephone calls in general.
  25. What are you making it in?
