Public network is when you are connecting to an unsafe network; if you set it to private the internet should work.

I have used it; after five months the microphone stopped working. Best Buy stopped selling the model I purchased; I then bought the wireless one. For some reason they made the frequency the same as the XBox wireless network adapter, that means I need to disconnect it before I can connect to the internet.

I just looked at my network and sharing center on vista, my internet is set to private network.

The problem seems to have resolved itself; it happened when windows sidebar gadget crashed and restarted or when I installed new drivers for my video card. VLC crashes for me, which is why I do not use it (although that may have been fixed now too).

I am trying to make a one click file that will release and renew the DHCP on my router. I was thinking using a .bat file; I am stuck. I have http://192.168.0.1/index.phpdelay javascript:void(document.getElementsByName('LOGIN_USER')[0].value='admin'); javascript:document.getElementsByName('login')[0].click(); delay http://192.168.0.1/st_device.phpdelay javascript:document.getElementsByName('DHCP Release')[0].click();delay javascript:document.getElementsByName('DHCP Renew')[0].click(); Each of these work separately pasting into the address bar; I do not know how to make them work together. I also need to input some delays to give the pages time to load. If a .bat file cannot work I could use var script=document.createElement('script'); script.src='*.js'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(script); as a bookmark to call a .js file. Any help would be appreciated. Never mind I just bought a new router.

My router is not listed as supported. I know it is not ISP related; I have had this router for exactly 1428 days. I hope this helps. Never mind I just bought a new router.

I randomly lose the connection to the internet; I have two computers one running XP Pro and one running Vista home premium, directly connected to a D-Link router. Most of the time everything is fine but sometimes when I turn a computer on, there is no connection. I have to go into the router page and press DHCP release then DHCP Renew There is not any updates for the router. Since there is not likely a solution, is there was a quicker/simpler way to log into the router page then press the two buttons, such as a .bat file?

I guess even Jagex gets tired of hearing about all the bugs.

You get armor by invading/exploring wild lands, finding treasure such as Bronze box and opening them. When your legends are high level, 40 and above it is a good idea to practice over night, special paradises in the day; for the low level legends invade wild lands. You need to go into the Parade ground click defense and set some legends for anti invade and anti conquest to ride out.

On the router page under the settings button, click on network settings; under Dynamic DHCP Client List you should see a list of all the computers that connect to your router. You can verify if any unknown computers have connected. At least that is how it works on my dlink.

This link suggests stopping the file first then closing the program; I have tried this and it stops the music, but WMP does not release the file. I am not entirely sure what you are suggesting. My current work around is a bat file I made: @echo off taskkill /f /IM wmplayer[Caution: Executable File]

Avira seems to have updated around the time I got this. Nondescript messages :wall:

I received this error using an usb drive; it turned out to be AVG blocking the accsess.

When I play any media file in Windows Media Player then close the player, the GUI does go away but the player still plays the file. I can close it by going to the task manager; however I would like to actually fix this. I am running Vista 64.

I have a quad core 2.4 Ghz. What is the equivalant single core? For example a program requires a 3Ghz or faster processor. Will it work?

Do you have the newest version of flash? Don't know if that would help or not but it's worth a try. Has anyone been able to get onto the Imperial Palace server at all today? I know it was down for maintenance this morning but I still can't get on now. I keep getting a "Connection Lost" error on the loading screen. :? Close the browser then retry.

Some news on Reddragon [hide=Mod Panda]Hi J Senior, Im sorry you feel Ive not read or answered the questions that have been asked of me, because I always endeavour to provide detailed and reliable answers to any question. If I dont know what the answer is; I am the first to say so, but I will also work hard to find out the answers so I can provide them to the community. Im also sorry you feel Ive stirred up this animosity, I think you might have incorrectly interpreted my post as an attack of sorts, when my intention was to clear up the confusion regarding the RedDragon server. I will try and answer the questions you have posed, and if you still feel I have missed out a key point; I will be more than happy to elaborate further if you could kindly point out what I missed. I can understand why you want to continue playing on RedDragon, you have clearly invested a lot of time on your account there. However, when the server was taken down for maintenance during that prolonged period of time, players were directed away from the RedDragon server and given the choice of a number of other servers to start on. I presume you started again on RoyalGarden, as you have said, that is the server you require to be up before you can log into RedDragon. When maintenance on RedDragon finished, we chose to keep the server as a test server, and as a result had it hidden from the public (removed from highscores, no selectable from the server selection screen). Players were still able to gain access to their RedDragon accounts if they had bookmarked the game, but we attempted to stop this (hence the reason your bookmark stopped working). Players later discovered they could manipulate the URL to gain access to the RedDragon server (which is a practise we dont condone and are working hard to stop); at this point, it was your decision to continue playing on a server we had removed from the public eye. Now I understand you wanted to keep the progress you had made and the JCredits you had been given, but a news post had been made that informed all beta testers that their contributions would be recognised at the end of the beta period and rewarded. You chose to continue with the progress you had made already, on a server we had hidden from the public, which also requires an action we dont condone to access. It is because of these reasons we arent able to compensate you for the downtime suffered by RoyalGarden, and lets not forget you still had the 200 JCredits from the initial reset that other servers never received. To answer your second question; the RedDragon server is no longer a beta server (it is hidden from the public) but a test server for the developers. It is the server we are testing the stability of our updates on before rolling them out onto the others. Saying it is not a Beta server, doesnt mean it is a fully live server either. Im deeply sorry if you feel we have cheated you in any way, this was never our intention and we hope you can appreciate our stance on the matter. Im also sorry if you feel I have ever misled you; I personally dont recall having a conversation with in-game and I would never have a go at any player, regardless of the topic. I hope this has provided the answers you have been searching for; Ill be happy to answer any more you might have. ~Panda [/hide] [hide=Mod Mat K]Hey guys, As you know, we and the developers are using Red Dragon as a testing server to make sure that updates rolled across all servers are stable. As you will also probably know, we can't guarantee the stability of the Red Dragon server. Now, we have no problems with you playing on it and no one is going to get into any trouble. However, you have to remember that the Red Dragon server is now for us to test things on and not one of the beta test worlds anymore. When we removed the links, we didn't count on you guys being resourceful enough to get back in there. But once we saw that you had, we didn't see a reason to stop it. It is regrettable that we had to make this change, but then it is better to make the change now, rather than after the release. I want you all to understand that we do appreciate everyone's help during this beta and players across all servers have played, and will continue to play, an important part the the history of WoL. We have credited some accounts with JCredits due to various issues, however on this occasion we won't be crediting players from the Red Dragon server with any. We will see if we can get an announcement about Red Dragon put up after the weekend to give as much information as possible about it so that you feel more 'in the loop' than you currently do. If we all group together, then will it not be a long trip to find someone to invade that is not in the alliance?

Does the 6 hour cooling off period still apply after you upgrade to level 10? You can change your status from new player to normal, peace or vacation. I have not tried any of these so I do not know what they do, but the names are descriptive.
