What is your ideal life?
My ideal life: To spend the rest of my life with a girl that I truly love and that loves me back. Everything else would only be scenery. I guess if I had to pick, being a high school history teacher that coaches some sports.

What are your talents?
I play a 9 piece double-bass drum set for my own metal band. We are in the studio right now recording our first EP. I play hockey. I am a 2 year All Conference defenseman and voted MVP of the team for 2 years. I play tennis. I won conference Freshman year at #4 singles. Qualified for the sectional tournament all 4 years of High School. Took 3rd place at #1 doubles this last year and qualified for the Wisconsin State Tennis Tournament. I am the center snare for the 3rd year for my HS's drumline. This last year we won the Wisconsin State class A best percussion award, best musical performance, and overall best band. This is all for field shows. I am a 4 year letter winner in Hockey, Tennis, Band, the All-School Play (pit band), and 1 year of cross-country. Whew. I did a lot in high school. Oh, and I'm a pretty good debater

Real life pictures - 3
Might as well get around to this. Put the one of me by myself in the index please. [hide=] Senior Picture from last summer, I'm hoping to get a newer one up soon. Story: Tennis Sectionals. My doubles partner (kid next to me) and I had just won 3rd place in the sectional tournament and our berth at the state tournament. Coach's wife (guy in grey shirt) and mother of my partner comes running up and yells "HOUDINI!!!" and snaps a picture.[/hide]

New Slipknot Album
Mainstream Rock FTL. I'm really starting to hate 93x (Twin Cities rock station). Every other song is Nickelback or some other crappy mainstream rock band.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Annapolis. It was surprisingly good. I found it funny that the movie was about the Naval Academy, yet throughout the movie, it constantly bashed the Navy and had references that the Marines were better.

New Slipknot Album
I understand why you don't like them, and I know that a lot of people don't. I get it. Being a drummer myself, I have to disagree with you on Joey being slightly more than average. When you listen to a metal band play (from my experiences at least, I don't listen to the sub-genres much) you will most likely hear 1 of the following: Straight 16th/Triplets on the bass drums throughout the entire song, A blast beat usually still 16th notes on the bass drums, or a very simple beat somewhat Metallica-esque. (By the way, I do not like Metallica at all) Now if you listen to most of Slipknot's songs, Joey puts a lot more creativity into his songs than most metal drummers. He can play fast when necessary (See People=[cabbage]) but he also plays with style. I grew up listening to the greatest drummers of the last century: Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Neil Peart, Terry Bozzio, John Bonham, Ian Paice. All of these drummers were pioneers in their genre. If you look at pretty much any list of "Best drummers in Metal" today, I can assure you Joey is on that list. Of course he couldn't touch the likes of Danny Carey or Gene Hoglan, but he has a lot of talent. Just to let you know, I'm not the card carrying 14 year old who listens to nothing but Slipknot. I don't even consider them to be one of the best bands out there, but if you can only tell me personal opinions on how they are all talentless hacks, I really challenge you to achieve 1/10th of their success.

Chernobyl
We have huge numbers of nuclear power plants in the US! Have you ever read your yearly energy report? For me, nuclear plants generate over 20% of my power, the second biggest resource after coal. There are not as many power plants as there should be. I also live 30 miles from a Nuclear Power Plant. I'm not saying that there are zero of them, rather that there aren't as many as there were projected to be when the project was started. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_power_in_the_United_States 104 out of 1,000 estimated power plants is a little over 10% of what should have been instated.

New Slipknot Album
Just because you don't like someone's music does not mean that they are not talented. I do not like country music whatsoever, but I know that it takes a lot of skill to play a Slide Guitar and I can definitely appreciate it. Whether you want to admit it or not, Slipknot has a few of the most talented musicians in all of music right now. They're not the best, but they are very talented nonetheless. Last time I checked, they didn't make a custom line of snare drums or a custom signature Vic Firth drumstick after "average" drummers. Or the fact that Corey Taylor headlines 2 of the most popular rock bands in music business. Or that Mick Thompson owns his own guitar shop in Des Moines, IA and has been giving lessons there since before he was in Slipknot. Have you listened to his sweep-picking solos before? He is a very talented musician. Get off your high horses for once and appreciate musicians that perform something that your oh-so-refined taste buds in music aren't used to listening to.

Chernobyl
Do I really need to put the "/sarcasm" in front of everything I say? I was arguing the other side of the point to prove it false, which it obviously is.

Chernobyl
Hooray for blanket satements. Radioactive waste is harmful. Nice ovservation there; way to take something completely out of context. You know I'm starting to think you don't really know what you're talking about. You cite no sources but your own personal knowledge, and you just make outlandish accusations that have already been proven false by tested research. You're correct, it isn't harmful. AT ALL.
-
Chernobyl
See I don't mind debating with you whatsoever, it's just the people that really have not done any research or have not been educated formally on this topic at all that REALLY anger me. So I apologize if I seem caustic at times. I posted the Wikipedia article earlier, and in it had a type of radioative waste that they dumped. Now this was very low-grade radioactive material; the type that normally comes from an average size nuclear power plant. This type of waste is not harmful even when exposed (such as your barrel exploding reference) to the water table. The amounts of hazardous material in this "radioactive waste" is actually very small. Check out the article if you haven't already.

Guess The Movie
I didn't think he'd put two Indiana Jones movies in there :x I was thinking that one right off the bat!
-
Chernobyl
What the hell kind of reasoning is that? Let's not do this because our laws on it will surely be broken... I'm thinking people must be under the impression that super-humans are running these plants and obviously do not have any problems absorbing the massive amounts of radiation into their bodies. And they obviously don't live near the plants either, so why would they care if the radation was dumped into the local river or buried in a local field? The reason for no one EVER getting sick or dying from nuclear plants is because they take the radiation so far away from human civilization that it would take thousands of years to seep through the ground to even have minimal effects on humans.

Money? How? Why?
Every person should know the uses and benefits of knives. Non-lethal ones to humans of course. My dad taught me a lot of it when I was 8 or so. We would go camping; it's amazing what you can do with a knife.
